“What do you think about me?”

“That’s a loaded question,” Alec said.

“Is it?” Scarlet asked.

“Si,” he said.

This close she couldn’t help but notice the light stubble and firm, full lips that she knew felt just right pressed against her. Scarlet felt a jolt of desire and blinked, taking a step back. She hadn’t come here to hook up again—but she’d never been one to walk away from something she wanted.

She put her hand on his chest.

“Tell me what you’re thinking, Alejandro,” she said softly.

“I’m thinking that if I don’t kiss you, I might die,” he admitted.
