Chapter 25 Twin Flames #2

Tommy entered the quiet, dimly lit private hospital room. It was surprisingly much more tranquil with two newborn babies than the waiting room with the adult children outside.

Tommy put his hands over his mouth as he approached. Two perfect little baby boys, sleeping soundly.

“Oh my God,” Tommy whispered.

“You wanna hold one?” Tyler asked.

Tommy looked at him, to see if he was serious.

He nodded. The emotion of the moment getting the best of his throat.

Tyler gently took a baby from Nicki and placed him in Tommy’s arms.

“Oh my God…” Tommy whispered again. “He’s so tiny!”

Tyler took the other baby from Nicki and stood by his brother.

Nicki’s eyes pooled watching the two giant brothers each holding a tiny newborn baby, ever so gently.

“This is the first born. His name is Jack,” Tyler said, displaying the baby in his arms to Tommy.

Tommy looked up at his brother. “Like daddy?” He looked over at the sleeping baby. “Jack Dorien,” Tommy whispered. “Great fucking name. Strong.”

“And the one you have,” Nicki said, “is the younger of the two.”

Tommy took a closer look at the baby boy he was holding.

The baby’s eyes opened a little and then his lips twitched a tiny smile.

“I think this one likes me!” Tommy said, smiling back at the baby. “What’s this one’s name?”

“His name is Thomas,” Nicki said.

Tommy shot up at Nicki.

“What?” His eyes flooded.

“Yeah, that’s baby Tommy Dorien you’re holding. Maybe that’s why he smiled.”

Tommy looked over at his brother, inspecting his face, silently begging him for it not to be a joke.

“She named him,” Tyler confirmed.

“I can’t… I can’t believe you would do that for me. Really?” Tommy asked, giving baby Tommy a gentle kiss on the forehead, trying his best to hold in his tears. Failing miserably.

“Of course, Tommy. He’s named after his uncle who he already loves so much,” Nicki said.

“Thanks, guys,” Tommy managed to whisper looking down at his namesake, sniffling.

“Plus, technically, you’re the reason this happened, so it’s my way of thanking you, you asshole,” Tyler said, putting his arm around his brother.

“You’re welcome, guys!” Tommy chuckled. “Can I bring Apple in now?”

“Of course! Bring her in!” Nicki said.

Apple walked in with flowers and a giant teddy bear and beamed when she met the babies. She congratulated the two and doted over the little sleeping beauties.

She leaned over to give Nicki a kiss. “They’re so beautiful! Congratulations, momma!”

Apple leaned closer into the hospital baby bed, admiring the little things.

“Awwww, I want one!” she said.

“Girl, why didn’t you say something earlier?!” Tommy teased and grabbed Apple over the shoulder.

He jogged out of the hospital with her.

The rest of the crew finally met the next generation of the Dorien brothers and continued fighting over who’s going to be their favourite uncle.

“You’re all going to be their uncles!” Tyler quipped at them. “Now get out of here! Go home!”

Heading back into the delivery room, Tyler sat down beside Nicki and the sleeping babies.

“You did it, my love. You made me the happiest man in the world. You’ve given me everything,” Tyler whispered.

“I can’t believe we have two sons. The Dorien Dynasty.

You’ve given that to me. All I ever wanted was a family, and you have given me all of that and so much more.

You will never know how much I love you, baby. ”

“I love you, my darling. Thank you for making me a mother. I can’t wait to take these guys home with us,” Nicki said, her eyes falling from exhaustion. They kissed and basked in the high of their fiery love.

Nicki fell asleep with a smile.

Tyler caressed her face gently.

Just when he was sure she was asleep, he placed a 5-carat pink diamond ring on her finger, custom designed into two sharp halves of a heart, intertwined with tiny orange diamonds, cut into twin flames.

“You are the other half of my heart, baby. My heart that you lit on fire,” Tyler whispered, watching it sparkle on her hand in the dim light.

My angel, my air, my lioness, my love, my wife.

Tommy drove his Jeep back to the Compound with Apple by his side. He beamed.

“I can’t believe it. Jack and Tommy Dorien. Man, they sound like troublemakers already, don’t you think?”

“Well, then it’s a good thing they have their uncle to keep them in line!” Apple said.

“Are you kidding? I’m gonna spoil them like no tomorrow! I’m going to buy them anything they want, I’m gonna teach them how to ride horses, and you’re going to feed them those righteous pies of yours and that’s how it’s going to be!”

“You sound like you’re their dad!” Apple teased with a laugh.

“Well, that’s only because I don’t have any of my own!”

“Not yet,” Apple whispered, glancing over to him.

He looked at her and put his hand on her thigh. Then higher, and further, while his eyes returned to the road.

She allowed his hand to venture up between her legs and stay there until she laughed from the sensation.

“Tommy! You’re bad!” Apple cried out.

They pulled up to the gate of the Compound.

“Well? How are they?” Cliff shouted from the security portable.

“They’re amazing, buddy! Perfect!” Tommy shouted back.

“Say, uh, why don’t you go ahead and park up further by the garage, there, Tommy!” Cliff shouted.

Tommy made a perplexed face as he pulled into the lot. He drove up the driveway further. The garage door opened up slowly, revealing a particular new addition to the fleet.

Tommy strained his eyes to make sure he was seeing clearly.

“What the…”

A brand-new Harley Davidson motorcycle stood in the garage, with Tommy’s old red bandana tied onto the back plate. On it, two new helmets and a note attached.

Tommy swallowed his disbelief hard, gluing his hands to the top of his head.

He walked up to the bike cautiously and couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

He caressed the shiny clear coating over the turquoise paint of the gas tank and inspected the bike up close.

He opened the note which simply read:

To Uncle Tommy,

The ban is over.

Tyler

P.S. It has a 25-mile radius limit and a hidden GPS installed in case you get any ideas. Fucker.

Tommy rushed to pick Apple up into a spin and screamed out, “Woohooo!”

Apple laughed and was almost as excited as he was.

“You wanna go for a ride?”

“With you? On this? Of course, baby!” Apple exclaimed.

He gave her an excited kiss.

They put their helmets on and Tommy ripped the new engine. He pulled out with Apple on the back.

“Now you come back this time, eh, Tommy boy?” Cliff yelled at the gate.

“I will, buddy!”

They hit the road, with the Harley engine roaring. Apple’s long, dreaded blonde hair blew in the wind from under her helmet. Tommy increased the speed and they zoomed down the windy road surrounded by dark green pines and crisp wet air.

“Awwwooooooh!” Tommy howled out to the road, his smile releasing tears of joy into the wind.

“Woohooo!” Apple joined in, squeezing him tightly.

“Where do you wanna go, my love?” Tommy asked.

“Anywhere, as long as it’s with you!” Apple shouted back.

Tommy peeled her hand off of his stomach to kiss it. He then twisted the throttle to go even faster.

They sped toward the fiery pink streaks stretching across the sky… where he happily drowned in her soul, and she willingly burned in his fire.

The End.
