Henry Marshall is trying to leave his cowboy-player reputation behind through a farrier apprenticeship at Lone Star, an esteemed boarding ranch in the Three Rivers area.

Angel White now runs the place for her aging father, and last year Henry accidentally kissed her after learning she had chosen him as the only apprentice.
