Epilogue

SIENNA

“Bug spray!” my sister practically shouts down the phone. “I forgot bug spray.”

“Okay, so add it to the list,” I say, struggling not to laugh.

“What about bear spray?”

“Sure, go nuts. Bring all the sprays.”

Every time my sister comes to visit, it’s like she’s preparing for the end of the world.

“Do you think Isla should bring her own spray?”

“I’m sure you can share?—”

“No, I think she needs her own spray. What if there are two bears?”

I cough to disguise my snort. Megan has visited Cherry Hollow several times now, but this time she’s bringing her new girlfriend along. I’m excited to meet Isla, even if my sister seems resigned to the fact that they will both be eaten by bears within minutes of arrival.

“Okay, I think that’s everything,” Megan says. “We should get there at around midday.”

“Perfect, we’ll have lunch waiting. I’m so excited to see you!”

“Me too, Sienna. See you tomorrow! Give my love to Chase.”

“Will do.”

I end the call with a smile, my heart soaring at the thought of seeing Megan. We visit each other often, and she has finally accepted my decision to move out of Denver. It took her a while to get used to the idea, but she’s seen first-hand how happy I am with Chase. They’re total opposites on paper, but they get along well, and I know my sister is happy for us. She might be a little nature-averse, but even a city girl like Megan has to admit that Cherry Hollow is a beautiful town, and I think she secretly likes it here.

I set my phone down and turn back to my computer. It’s a sunny day in my writing nook, dappled light streaming in through the windows. This place is unrecognizable now that it’s finished. The walls are covered with art, the shelves are stuffed full of books, and there’s a comfy green couch in the center of the room. My desk and computer chair are positioned in front of the window so I can look out at the trees as I write, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the woods.

Writing my first book was hard work. I made a lot of mistakes and it took a long time to build my confidence, but eventually, I finished the manuscript for a small-town romance novel. Megan tried to convince me to submit it to Luminary Press, but I didn’t want my book published just because my sister is the editor-in-chief. I submitted it to plenty of other places though, and after what felt like a million rejections, a small publishing company in Boulder decided to take a chance on me. It was a dream come true, and when the book was finally released, the sales exceeded all my expectations. Now I have a small group of loyal fans waiting for my next book, but there’s no fan more loyal than my amazing husband.

Chase has been my biggest supporter since day one. He was there for every rejection, every setback, every breakdown, and he gave me the confidence to keep going. When it finally paid off, he was so proud of me, and it was his encouragement that convinced me to keep on writing. I never could have done it without him.

I get a little more work done before the sound of barking nearby makes me look up with a smile. Moose is bounding through the woods toward me, his blue eyes sparkling in the sunlight. A few seconds later, Chase emerges from the trees, and my heart stutters as I watch him. My husband only gets sexier with age. His beard is peppered with gray hairs and the lines on his face are deeper than before, making him look even more rugged and wild. He’s still as huge as ever, and a shiver of desire runs through me at the sight of his hulking frame. It doesn’t take much for my husband to turn me on.

“Hey, beautiful,” Chase says, his deep voice echoing around my writing nook as he walks in. “How’s it going?”

“Good. I think I’m going to call it a day, though.”

I start to push myself out of my chair and Chase rushes to help. When you’re seven months pregnant, getting in and out of chairs can be a two-person job.

“Thanks,” I tell him, resting a hand on my bump as I stretch my back.

Chase is staring at me intensely. Ever since I got pregnant, he’s been more protective than ever. He does everything for me, almost like he’s worried I’ll break if I do the dishes or cook dinner. It’s adorable.

“Have I told you how fucking sexy you look carrying my baby?” he asks, his green eyes burning into me.

“Yes.” I grin at him, wrapping my arms around his neck. “This is the fifth time you’ve said it today. But I love hearing it.”

“It’s the truth, sugar.” His eyes roam my curves, something feral glinting in his eyes. “Fuck, you drive me wild. Look at you.”

His giant hands run down my hips, reaching around to cup my ass. Chase was nervous about being intimate when I first got pregnant, convinced he might hurt me or the baby. But after being reassured by several different doctors, he’s now completely insatiable. Even more insatiable than before, which is saying a lot. He loves my pregnant body and can’t keep his hands off me. I love it. My hormones are crazy right now and I’m hornier than ever, so I want him just as much as he wants me.

I reach down and press my hand against the bulge in my husband’s jeans, moaning when I feel how hard he is.

“It’s all for you, princess,” he mutters, squeezing my ass.

“I want it.”

Chase groans and reaches up to grab my chin, kissing me hard. My panties slicken as he dips his tongue between my lips, filling my mouth with his musky taste. It’s enough to set my body on fire, a fierce need pulsing between my legs.

“I need you inside me,” I moan against his mouth. “Please, Chase, I’m aching.”

“Poor baby,” he growls, reaching beneath my dress and pulling my panties down to my knees. “I’ll make it go away.”

I whimper as he guides me to the desk, and I rest my hands on it, bending forward slightly. My belly is so swollen that it brushes lightly against the wooden surface, but I’m careful not to put any pressure on it as Chase towers behind me. I listen eagerly to the sound of my husband’s jeans being unzipped, falling to his ankles along with his boxers. I can see his reflection in the window, eyes hungry as he looks down at me. His hard length pokes against me from behind, pushing between my folds until I’m panting with anticipation.

“Breathe for me, sugar.”

I do as he says, taking deep breaths as his monster cock thrusts into me, making me cry out with relief.

“Oh!” I whine. “Yes!”

“Does that feel better, baby?”

“Yes! I needed it so bad.”

Chase kisses my neck, groaning deeply. “You want your husband to fuck you?”

“Yes!”

“You want him to fuck the ache away, beautiful girl?”

“Yes! Please, Chase!”

He makes a sound deep in his throat and starts to pound me from behind, stuffing me full of his cock over and over. His balls slap against me, his hands gripping my hips as he gives my greedy pussy what it’s been craving.

“OH YES!” I cry, hungrily watching Chase’s reflection. My husband looks feral, his jaw set as he fucks me until I can’t breathe.

“Fuck, Sienna. Look at you taking my cock like a good girl.”

“OH GOD!”

My eyes squeeze shut as an orgasm rips through me, my walls fluttering. I hold onto the desk tight, still spasming with the aftershocks. But Chase doesn’t let up. He reaches beneath my belly and starts to rub my clit as he fucks me, and I scream as another orgasm rockets through me.

“Fuck you’re amazing. One more. You can do it, baby.”

“CHASE! OH GOD, CHASE!”

“Come for your husband. Come on his cock.”

He picks up the pace, rutting me until I see stars. I claw at the desk, throwing my head back as a third orgasm steals the breath from my lungs, making my whole body tremble.

“Good girl,” Chase groans as I sob with pleasure. “Fuck, you’re doing so good. Now take my cum.” His rhythm turns jerky, his breath ragged as he fills my quivering pussy with his seed.

We catch our breath, Chase brushing my neck with kisses before he slides out of me, his cum spilling down my thighs.

“My beautiful wife,” he murmurs, turning me around to face him and cupping my cheek. “I love you so much.”

“I love you too.” I smile up at him, still a little shaky from my orgasms.

“Is your ache better?”

“For now,” I say, grinning. “But I guess we’ll have to check again later on.”

Chase chuckles. “Good idea.”

He kisses my forehead, resting a hand on my bump as I nuzzle against him.

“Not long to wait now,” I say.

He grins down at me, his eyes crinkling at the corners. “I’m so fucking excited. I can’t wait to meet him.”

“Me neither. It’s crazy to think he’ll be here in two months.”

I smile to myself, resting my hand on top of my husband’s. Starting a family with Chase is going to be the biggest adventure of our lives, and I know he’ll be the best dad in the world. Our baby boy already brings us so much happiness, and he’s not even here yet.

“Let’s get you home, sweetie,” my husband says, his voice full of tenderness as he picks me up, mindful of my belly. He carries me out of the writing nook, and Moose streaks out of the woods when he hears us coming, carrying a stick in his mouth.

“Hey cutie,” I say, smiling as Chase pets him with one hand, still holding me with the other. Moose pants happily, his tail wagging, and we all head home together through the sunlit forest.
