Epilogue
Gideon
Three Years Later
“Ah… fuck… Gideon!”
One hand playing with my wife’s hot pussy, I quickly slammed the other one over her mouth and bit her ear. “Quiet, brat, or we’ll have to stop. Do you want me to stop?”
She shook her head vigorously, and I freed her mouth so I could unzip my pants.
Still playing with her clit, I pushed just the head in, and she whimpered quietly.
“Good girl,” I grunted and slammed home.
As she hissed, I grabbed her hips and started fucking her slowly.
We didn’t have much time, and I wanted it fast and hard, but I could hear the murmur of voices outside the dark of the closet, which meant that they would hear us if I started slamming her against the wall.
“Such a goddamn brat wearing this tight dress with nothing beneath,” I muttered darkly into her ear. “Teasing me all night with reminders that your pussy is just leaking down your leg.”
“And whose fault is that?” she groaned. “You were the one who had to fuck me while I was trying to get ready. We were almost late. Oh my god. Ah… God, Gideon.”
She clamped her pussy around me, and I hissed and picked up the pace. “Everyone out there is going to be looking at you tonight. I had to do something to mark you. To make sure everyone knew you were mine.”
“Have you seen Ellie?” a familiar voice suddenly asked on the other side of the door. “Everyone is taking their seats, and I can’t find her.”
There were puzzled no’s, and Ellie’s eyes widened. Sliding out of her, I turned her around, bent her over, and slammed my cock back home. “Come on, my love. Let go. I know you’re close. Your thighs are shaking so fucking hard. I bet when I press my fingers right here.”
Her body jerked, and I slammed my other hand around her mouth as she squealed and came. Immediately, I grunted and jerked as she pulled me to my own orgasm.
Breathing hard, she pulled away, spun around in the small space, and pulled her dress down. “Christ, Gideon, I can’t believe you just did that. Are you out of your mind?”
“I warned you what would happen if you walked out of the house without any panties on,” I told her calmly before I kissed her. “And as the guest of honor, no one is starting without you.”
“I hate you,” she moaned.
“No, you don’t. Besides, you know how desperately you needed it. You’re so fucking horny when you’re pregnant.”
Laughing, she tried to right herself as she tucked a strand behind her ear. We’d only found out a week ago that babe number two was coming, and I was overjoyed.
Hastily, I buttoned up my shirt. Maneuvering her around me, I quietly opened the door and peeked out. The hall was empty. “Coast is clear,” I whispered as I pulled her out.
“Daddy!” a voice shrieked. “I found him!”
Clearing my throat, I turned as a pretty little blonde in a green dress raced down the hall and launched herself into my arms. Following her, Meredith turned the corner and stopped as she looked at us.
Rolling her eyes in disgust, she hurried forward. “The closet? Really? You two are worse than teenagers.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I said innocently.
“Tell that to your shirt. Ellie, turn around.” Pulling out a bobby pin, my best friend shot me an annoyed look as she finished pinning my wife’s hair back.
“Daddy, your shirt is buttoned wrong,” Aria announced.
“So it is. Hold on, baby.” I sat her down and adjusted myself before I picked her back up. Glancing over her shoulder, Ellie smiled at us. “How’s that?” I asked my daughter.
“You’ll do,” she sighed, and Ellie and Meredith both laughed. I had no idea where my daughter had picked up that particular phrase, but she kept repeating it.
“Glad I’ve passed inspection.” I pressed a quick kiss to Ellie’s cheek. “Knock ’em dead, baby. I’m so proud of you.”
Loving the blush that stained her cheeks, I carried my daughter back to the reception hall, and we made our way to the front table.
My mother, business partner, and Meredith’s husband were already there.
In the last three years, Ellie had found it in her heart to forgive Victoria, and surprisingly, being a grandmother really helped warm my mother’s cold heart.
While she and Ellie would never be close, my mother adored Aria, and Ellie loved their relationship.
Dozens of other tables surrounded us, and many people murmured their hellos as I took a seat. The lights darkened except for the stage in front of us, and Meredith walked out. Her husband whistled, and she shook her head but grinned.
“Welcome, everyone, to the Tenth Annual First Breath First Hope gala. When my mother started this charity ten years ago, she had no idea that it would grow this big, this quickly. What started out as a single office in the most forgotten part of town has now become a multimillion-dollar charity that has, as of this year, helped over thirty thousand women safely get the care they need to bring their children into this world.”
The room erupted into applause, and I grinned with pride.
Meredith continued. “The healthcare system often fails women, and especially women of color, when they need it the most, but thankfully, First Breath First Hope was there for them.
Two years ago, we opened our first clinic, and I am so proud to say that we have not lost a single patient to date.
“Unfortunately, my mother was not here for the next step in our mission. When my mother passed three years ago, I wasn’t sure that I could continue in her footsteps, and I truly thought that First Breath First Hope would die with her, but an amazing woman helped both me and this charity get back on our feet.
Without her, we would not be here tonight, and women like Stacy Gardener, Pryetta Rhaul, and Macy Green would not have gotten the care they needed, and these beautiful, sweet babies would not be here. ”
Behind her, photos flashed, and “awws” rippled through the crowd as the babies grinned and kicked their feet.
“This woman became the closest of friends and like a sister to me when I needed her the most. She volunteered her time, her money, and her expertise to our cause, and after much nagging and harassment, I finally convinced her to be my partner last year. For those who know her, this honor will not come as a surprise. She is humble, intelligent, and talented. In the past three years, she has both funded and inspired three different annual scholarships and awards for rising young women, not to mention all the groundbreaking work she’s done for us.
Tonight, First Breath First Hope teams up with GCB Magazine to present their highest award to my partner and dearest friend.
Please welcome Ellie Montgomery, Woman of the Year. ”
Everyone rose to their feet, and no one cheered louder than Aria and I as Ellie walked out to meet Meredith. The two women embraced, and I watched the woman who held my heart accept the glass award. When the applause died down, she walked up to the podium.
“First, I want to point out that I came in pretty late in the game to First Breath First Hope,” she began.
“Meredith sings my praises, but she is absolutely the ballbuster behind the scenes. Still, thank you, Meredith, for your lovely words. And thank you, GCB Magazine, for honoring and inspiring women every day to break those glass ceilings. I am incredibly honored to be here tonight. There have been so many people who have helped me find my place in the world, but I have to admit that if I were to pick the moment it all changed for me, I’d have to tell the story of when a certain handsome billionaire showed up at my door in a dead man’s threadbare suit. ”
Everyone chuckled, and Ellie’s eyes met mine.
As she thanked me, her daughter, and practically everyone else in the room, my heart swelled with pride.
She’d found her place, and I knew that it had nothing to do with me.
She was a force of nature, and I was just so very lucky to be along for the ride.
The love of my life. The mother of my child, and soon children. She outshone me in every way, and I could not have loved her more for it.
