Chapter 21

Isaac

I’m not sure if there is a heaven or not, but if there is, I am in it.

She caught me off guard when she climbed on top of me.

Serena looked like a fucking goddess, her hair framing her perfect face as she looked down at me.

But something in her eyes felt off. I wanted to ask her about her nightmare, to make sure she was okay.

But the second she touched me, the moment slipped away before I could say a word.

There were a lot of things that surprised me about last night.

It seems that my Little Firecracker has a lot to learn. And I get to be the one to teach her. What else hasn’t she done? I wonder just how far I can take her, the thoughts alone sending a wave of anticipation through my body.

She took me in her mouth so well last night for it being her first time. Next time, she will be begging on her knees for more while tears run down her face. Her soulful blue eyes shining at me from the floor as mascara leaves black trails on her cheeks.

“So where are you taking me?” Serena’s voice comes through the speaker in my helmet. Her arms wrap around my waist while she rests her head on my back.

“Mmm… if I told you, it wouldn’t be a surprise, would it?” I shake my head and pull on the throttle of my R1. We are on our way to Seattle for the day, but she doesn’t know that. All I told her this morning was to get ready and make sure that she wore pants and comfortable shoes.

When I handed her the helmet this morning at the house, her eyes widened. She didn’t expect to be taking the bike, and I could tell that she had never ridden backpack before. Despite being nervous, she slipped the helmet on, letting me help her on the back, and we were off.

“Ugh. I hate surprises. Can’t you just give me a little hint?” She peers around me the best she can with her helmet. Reaching around my waist, palming my dick over my pants and teasing me with her fingers.

Naughty girl.

“Nice try Preciosa. But I’m not going to tell you.”

Serena lets out a frustrated sigh and lays her head back down. “You are so infuriating.”

“Patience baby girl. We will be there before you know it.” Her sigh of defeat echoes in my helmet and I smile. I turn up the volume on my phone so that the song Fire Up the Night by New Medicine drowns out the sound of the traffic around us and it's just me and my girl.

We reach our destination and Serena lets out a small squeal of excitement that makes my heart flutter.

Finding a parking spot in the shade, I settle in and help her off the back.

She takes her helmet off, hair matting her forehead and a smile that lights up the darkest corners of my soul spreads across her face.

“I haven’t been to the Zoo since I was a little girl.”

“I thought after all the shit you have been through the last few days, you might want to do something fun. Besides,” I take her helmet and buckle it to the backpack she is wearing. “There’s someone I would like for you to meet.”

“Can we get some food first? I’m starving.” Serena skips ahead of me, her braid swinging behind her. Her jeans hug her ass so perfectly.

I’m starving too, but not for food.

I can’t fucking wait to get her home so I can claim her ass like I did her mouth and pussy. Just not quite yet.

I have a feeling I’m going to need to work her up to that. I am going to claim every single part of her. Heart, body and soul.

I’m staring into the beady little eyes of a python after Serena dragged me into the reptile realm. I fucking hate snakes. But apparently my girl loves them.

Personally, they creep me out. The way their soulless little eyes just stare right through you. Not to mention how they just slither around with no legs, creeping up on you until they sink their fangs into your leg.

I get the heebie jeebies just thinking about it. Ever since I found one in my bed placed by a foster brother trying to scare me. Hate to admit it, but it worked.

“Awww. Look at this one.” Serena leans toward the glass enclosure of a boa constrictor with dark green and black scales. “He’s so cuuuute.”

I lean away from the glass. “Cute? He’s not cute, he’s creepy.”

“I want one.”

She’s out of her Goddamn mind. There is not a chance in hell that I will be sharing the same air with a snake. Not in our house.

Serena pops a hip out and rests her hand on top. “Isaac Alexander Moreno. Don’t tell me you’re afraid .”

“I’m not afraid. I just don’t like them.” I place my hands in my pockets and shrug.

She places a hand on her chest. “Big bad Isaac is scared of a whittle ole reptile.”

I grab her waist and pull her in so there’s not an inch of space left between us. “Keep that up Little Firecracker, and I’ll show you just how big and bad I can be.”

Her eyes flare and then melt. Peering up at me through her lashes. “Is that a threat?” She whispers, “or a promise?”

Fuuuuuck me.

I have half a mind to haul her ass back to the bike and take her home so I can show her I don’t make empty promises. But I told Charlie that we were coming, and I’d feel like a dick if she carved out her schedule to make time for us and we didn’t show.

Releasing her from my grip, we move on from the nope rope to the tiger exhibit around the corner.

In the middle of the exhibit, Calliope basks in the sun on top of her rock.

If I timed it right, she should be getting fed any minute.

Like clockwork, Charlie walks out of a door tucked in the back of the enclosure, taking the bucket of raw meat down a caged in walkway.

When she reaches the dedicated spot for the zookeepers, she tosses the meat over and Calliope pounces.

Wonder if that’s David still?

“Wow. She is breathtakingly gorgeous.” Serena whispers.

I turn my attention down at my girl, who is staring at Calliope with awe and wonder. Her face the most relaxed I have seen it in days, other than when she was passed out after we fucked last night.

“Would you like to meet her?”

Serena’s head shoots up towards me. “Like meet her up close and personal kind of meet her? You can do that?”

I chuckle. “Other people? No. But I know the keeper assigned to Calliope and can arrange for you to meet her.”

“Of course you do. Why am I not surprised.” She leans on the railing and places her chin in her hand.

As Charlie is picking up the empty bucket, we lock eyes and I give her a lazy two finger wave and nod, letting her know we are here.

She smiles, waving her arm above her head, and gestures for us to come over.

I take Serena’s hand in mind and lead her through the crowd where we meet Charlie at the back of the enclosure.

After letting us in and taking us back, Charlie begins washing her hands. “So, there’s no girl huh?” She finishes drying her hands and throws the towel in a bin.

Serena looks at me and raises an eyebrow. I shake my head, pretending like I don’t know what she is talking about.

Charlie walks over to us, holding out her hand toward Serena. “It’s nice to meet you. My name is Charlie. I’m a friend of Isaac and Cole.”

Serena takes her hand. “Serena. I’m… well I don’t really know to be honest.” She gives me an expectant sideways glance.

Charlie scowls at me and punches me in the chest. “You better not be dicking her around Isaac.”

“Define dicking .” Because there’s been a lot of that going on in the last two days. Serena’s eyes go wide and her cheeks redden.

“Don’t be an ass, Isaac.” Charlie puts her hands on her hips and looks at Serena. “So, would you like to meet Calliope? She’s a sweetheart.” Serena nods shyly. I’m not sure if it's from nerves of getting up close and personal with a tiger, or if she’s feeling insecure about Charlie.

I can promise she’s got nothing to worry about. Another woman could walk by me naked and my head wouldn’t turn. I’ll spend the rest of my life proving to her that she is the only woman I want if I have to.

Charlie disappears to retrieve the massive tiger from the back room. I rest my hand on the small of Serena’s back and tilt her chin up to me. My eyes search hers, looking for any hint of what she might be feeling, maybe fear, excitement. A mixture of both.

“Are you nervous Mi Vida?” I brush my thumb across her bottom lip and she shivers.

“A little. But mostly I’m excited.” She lifts her face to mine. “Did you plan this for me?”

I kiss her soft plump lips. “I did. There’s nothing that I wouldn’t do for you Serena. If you asked me to burn the world to the ground, I would grab a match and light it on fire. There isn’t anything, or anyone, that I wouldn’t move, arrange or destroy if it meant seeing you happy.”

She stands on her tiptoes, wrapping her arms around my neck, planting her lips on mine. She kisses me with a passion that makes the rest of the world around us cease to exist. Nothing else matters at this moment but us.

Nothing but Serena.

Growing up, I always thought that I would die alone. I had Cole, but I never even entertained the idea of someone loving me, let alone loving someone else. The world that I grew up in didn’t have love.

It had pain and suffering. Death and hatred.

But the moment I saw Serena in that coffee shop, it changed everything. Those sapphire eyes sent a shockwave straight through me. And it was in that moment that I knew I would stop at nothing to make her mine.

The sound of soft padding greets us from the hallway. “Okay you two, break it up. We can’t keep her out too long or my supervisor is going to start asking questions.” Charlie leads Calliope into the room and the air stills.

It is intimidating being in the room with a tiger, even after all of the secret late-night feedings.

In one moment, she could kill all of us, and I’m all too aware of her presence with Serena here.

If it weren’t for the fact that I have known this one since she was a cub, and watched how tame she was, I wouldn’t even let her near the tiger.

Calliope comes up to me and nuzzles my hand with her nose, inviting me to pet her. Patting the top of her head, she chuffs softly, showing her contentment and approval.
