Thirty-Four
Keith
I drove past Nuts and Bolts on the way home and pulled over when I saw Don sitting out front on his usual rocker. “Hey how’s it going, Don?”
“Can’t complain,” he said with a smile.
“Are you going to Asa’s?”
“Yep, just waiting for Jack to drive me out there,” he said and glanced at the door just as Jack walked out.
“Hey, Keith, how’s it going?”
“Pretty good.”
“You ready to go, old man?”
“Yep, I just need to grab that bag,” Don said and pointed at the canvas grocery bag that looked like it was stuffed full.
“What the hell is that?” Jack asked as he hefted it up.
“I’m cooking my boyfriend dinner,” Don said, and stood from the rocker.
“You’re what? When the hell did this happen, and how did I not know anything about it?”
“We’ve been seeing each other for a while on the down low. Isn’t that what you kids say now?”
“Oh my god,” I whispered trying to take it all in without reacting.
“Who is it?” Jack asked.
“Asa Martin, he’s had a crush on me since we were young. Told me so himself, and he’s just as handsome as he was then. Now come on, I don’t want to be late. He broke his arm and I want to help take care of him,” Don rambled while Jack’s mouth hung open in shock.
He finally turned to look at me. “Did you know about this?”
“Not until Asa broke his arm.”
“Your boyfriend’s going to be mad if you’re not at your house when he gets there,” Don scolded me and tried to make me the center of attention instead of him.
“Who the fuck is your boyfriend?” Jack said. Obviously not happy that he’d been left out of all the latest gossip.
“Bart Martin, the guy that came in here asking directions after Pride.”
“Oh my god, how did I not know this?”
“Hey, Keith, how’s Bart doing?” Isaac asked when he walked up to where we still stood.
“What the—come on, I don’t want you to be late for your boyfriend,” he said to Don, who winked at Isaac, who started laughing.
“Bart’s good, he’s coming over for dinner which reminds me I need to get.”
“Just for dinner?” Isaac asked just loud enough anyone within the next block would have heard him, and I didn’t give one care about it.
“Maybe, or maybe more.”
“Don’t do anything I wouldn’t,” he warned.
“Oh, believe me I won’t,” I said and climbed into the truck.
After deciding if pizza would be good, I drove to the store and ran in to grab three.
They were frozen, but it meant more time alone with him.
I said hello to everyone I knew and hurried out of a few conversations before paying and jogging to my truck.
I pulled up to my house just as Bart pulled up from the other direction. He was out of his truck and in my arms before I had time to unbuckle. “I’ve missed you so much.” His lips were on mine, and his tongue pressed into my mouth.
“Well hello,” I finally said when he backed off just enough for me to take a breath.
“We’re not leaving so I hope there’s a place that delivers.”
“I picked up some frozen pizza,” I said and he looked past me at the grocery bag on the seat before grabbing it.
“I’ll put it in the oven, you go shower,” he said before walking right in because of course I didn’t lock my door.
Hank waved from across the street where he was grilling just as his wife walked over and handed him a beer. “Looks like we’re all having a good night tonight.”
“Keith?” Bart said from the door as he held it open.
“Sorry, I was waving at Hank.” That was all I got out before he shoved me against the closed door and kissed me hard while unbuckling my belt then unbuttoning my pants. “Wait, I should shower.”
“Can’t wait,” Bart said and yanked down my pants and boxers. Without any warning he swallowed me down while caressing my balls.
“Bart,” I groaned, my fingers clenched in his hair. There was no way I’d last long. After we’d talked, I’d thought of nothing but him and after that kiss, well—With a grunt I came. “You’re trying to kill me again.”
“Nope, but I will be tapping that ass later.”
“Good to know,” I panted.
“Take a shower, I’ll get the pizza’s going,” he said like he hadn’t just rocked my world.
“Thanks, for everything.” I looked at my now soft dick.
“You can thank me again later.” He waved me off and read the directions on the pizza, and this is how it was with us.
The guy I thought was so innocent and na?ve had shown me many times how wrong I was.
He also wasn’t the fish out of water he had been when he arrived here that spring day a few months ago.
Now he didn’t flinch about any job on the farm, and he worked just as hard as Asa and Noah.
“I love you,” I said. I hadn’t meant to, but it was true. I loved every little thing about him.
“Good, because I love you too.” He walked over and kissed me before smacking my ass and shoving me toward the bathroom. “Dinner will be ready when you’re done.”
I loved him, and in the end all that mattered was he loved me back.
