Chapter 17 Bellamy Rose

Chapter Seventeen

BELLAMY ROSE

When Halo first suggested we go to Cree’s restaurant, I was excited to go try some new food.

I was very curious to see what type of food wolf shifters ate.

In my mind, I thought they just hunted deer or other wild animals and ate them raw.

Since I’d been with Kenzo, he’d always given me cooked food, mostly beef.

I figured he ate his food when I wasn’t around so I wouldn’t be disgusted by the raw meat.

However, after talking to Halo, I learned that wasn’t the case.

While wolf shifters could eat raw meat, they didn’t always.

So, yeah, I was excited to go to a shifter restaurant.

Now, what I wasn’t expecting was to be enraged as soon as we were about to be seated.

I had never in my life experienced the amount of rage I felt in this very moment after seeing that ugly-ass bitch all over my mate.

Kill Her.

I agreed with my wolf. I wanted to kill that bitch. She had her scraggly arms thrown around Kenzo’s neck like they belonged there.

Tear them from her body!

Her big head was too close to Kenzo’s face like she wanted to kiss him.

Rip her lips from her face!

Oh, and let’s not forget Kenzo’s overly friendly ass. He wanted to throw a fit because I wanted to make sure Alonzo was alive and well but had the got damn audacity to allow another bitch to be all over him. I was on his ass too!

He knows better!

His big, stupid ass was getting fucked up too as soon as I was finished fucking this bitch up.

“Bellamy, baby.” Kenzo had the nerve to stand up facing me with the bitch clinging to his back and smile at me.

Throwing my hands on my hips, I craned my neck and squinted my eyes to see if Kenzo was serious. “I’m going to fuck you up,” I spat while angrily jabbing my finger in his direction. “You and that bitch. And why the fuck is she still on you while I’m in front of you?”

“I’m sorry,” Kenzo said before reaching behind him and tossing the bitch on the floor, where she landed with a loud thud.

“I swear it’s not what you think. She was over here tryna threaten us and shit,” Kenzo pleaded while trying take a step in my direction, but I shot him a glare, letting him know to keep his distance.

“I don’t give a flying fuck what she was doing. The minute she touched you, you should have tossed her ass across the room.” I kept my heated glare on Kenzo. I could see the bitch trying to flee, but Cree, who was now at Kenzo’s side, grabbed the shifter’s arm.

“How the fuck did you get onto our packlands?” Cree gritted through clenched teeth.

“Fuck you. The Tsar will rule,” the bitch squealed loudly, drawing the attention of the people in the pack restaurant.

“Halo, get everyone out of here. I’m calling my brothers now,” Cree demanded, and Halo quickly fell in line, beginning to usher the curious eyes toward the exit.

Once the restaurant was empty, Halo came and stood at Cree’s side with the unknown shifter between them and Cree’s hand holding her forearm.

“How long until Delcan and Yves get here?” Halo asked Cree.

“Any minute,” was his response, but I didn’t give a fuck about that. I was still livid with my mate.

“You fucking fools! Following Fate will end in your destruction. The Great Mage has shown us the truth,” the deranged-looking bitch screeched as her body shook violently while she tried to shake herself loose from Halo and Cree’s hold.

“Fuck the Tsar and all you weak-ass shifters following behind him,” Kenzo growled at her with his lips frowned up in annoyance.

“Don’t try to put on for your little whore now! Fuck her, but she was just all over you.”

In my mind of minds, I knew now wasn’t the appropriate time to be yelling at Kenzo, but I didn’t care. Seeing that bitch all over him set a burning fire in the pit of me and my wolf’s soul that wouldn’t be that quelled until Kenzo was groveling at my feet. We got to kick his whore’s ass.

“Bellamy, don’t fuck with me. Now isn’t the time for your jealousy.” Kenzo’s head shot toward me, giving me a glare that spoke volumes. He was warning us—me and my wolf—but once again, we were both in agreement. Fuck Kenzo’s warning.

“See, Bellamy? I told you the possessiveness you feel over your mate can be overwhelming, and I’m not saying I don’t understand.

Trust me, I do.” Halo shot Cree a dirty look.

“I also know there is a time and a place to make your feelings known. Right now might not be it. Wait until we figure out who this shifter is and how she got here. Okay?” Halo looked at me with sympathetic eyes.

My wolf and I really wanted to resist and not listen, but we trusted Halo. We were going to calm down for now.

“What’s going on?” Delcan’s deep voice barked out as he, Yves and Zamiyah came from behind us. I didn’t miss the dirty look Zamiyah shot me as she walked past Kenzo and me.

“She is working with the Tsar,” Cree answered his brother while nodding his head at the shifter. She refused to look anyone in their eyes. Instead, she kept her head bowed down to the floor.

“How the hell did she even get in here? There’s no way she got past our barriers, and even if she did, the patrol would have caught her,” Yves asked skeptically with his eyes on the shifter.

“That’s what we were trying to figure out before y’all got here, but she ain’t saying shit,” Cree said while shaking his head in annoyance.

“Well, we all know it was none of us who let her in, and there is only one new shifter who could have let her in,” Zamiyah’s hateful ass said, instantly pissing me off because she was slick trying to accuse me.

“Zamiyah, what the hell did I tell you before we left my parents’?” Yves' voice thundered loudly through the restaurant. His anger radiated off his body as he grilled Zamiyah.

“Don’t get mad at me because I’m stating facts.

Since this whore,” Zamiyah said with her hand extended toward me, “Has come around, there has been nothing but chaos. This last year, we’ve been at peace.

The only thing that makes sense is this bitch is the cause!

” Zamiyah screamed back at Yves with the same amount of anger as Yves.

However, there was something different about Zamiyah’s energy. It seemed dark, cold and sinister.

It wasn’t my problem to figure out what was wrong with Zamiyah.

I was sure the others were concerned about what was going on with her.

I cared about the lack of respect she continued to show me every time we were in the same room.

I got that Bellum fucked Yves, and after seeing the hollering whore all over my mate, I understood her anger, but I wasn’t Bellum, nor did I want to be.

Zamiyah needed to keep her beef with Bellum and Yves.

There were no more passes for me to give to Zamiyah.

If she wanted an enemy, she had one now.

“Ya mama is a bitch. Make this your last time speaking on me when you don’t know shit about me, with your evil ass,” I fearlessly said without backing down from Zamiyah.

“Excuse me, slut?!” Zamiyah exclaimed before stepping toward me with her hands glowing with a black mist falling from her clenched fist.

“You heard me, you miserable bitch,” I spat while staring Zamiyah dead in her glowing black eyes.

“Both y’all chill out with the name calling. It’s not the time for this petty shit. We got bigger problems to deal with now,” Yves barked while looking between Zamiyah and me.

“That’s her unhappy ass. Check your mate, not me,” I spat before rolling my eyes at Yves.

He wasn’t even that fucking cute to be arguing over. Light-skinned men never did it for me. Hell, I would’ve rather argued over Delcan. At least he was closer to my type.

“Respect my fucking mate,” Yves snapped at me.

When I went to respond to Yves, Kenzo pulled me behind him as he squared his shoulders while looking at Yves.

“We like you, Yves, but your mate has been nothing but disrespectful toward our mate since she’s been around her.

Bellamy gave more grace than most with Zamiyah’s disrespect.

We kept quiet because female shifters can be petty.

However, what we won’t allow is another man to yell at our mate when he can’t even keep his own mate in line.

Raise your voice at Bellamy one more time. It’ll be your last.”

“Are you fucking threating me?” Yves bellowed loudly in a voice that was mixed with a growl. “I’m not the one you want to try, Kenzo.” Yves wasn’t backing down, and neither was Kenzo.

Before Kenzo could reply, the shifter let out a screech that echoed so loud, everyone covered their ears to protect them from the deafening scream.

“Divided you shall fall. You stupid fucks.” The shifter had transformed into some bird-like creature.

A medium-sized beak replaced her nose. Her eyes glowed a deep fire red.

Red, yellow and orange feathers scattered all over her body, giving the look of an active fire burning in the night.

In an instant, the shifter went from floating above us to flying out of the door, leaving a trail of white flames behind her.

“What the fuck?” Cree said, breaking the silence we were all in while trying to comprehend what we'd just seen.

“Was that a Phoenix?’ Delcan asked, sounding astonished.

“I think so,” Halo said with squinted eyes. Instead of looking at Cree, she had her eyes on Zamiyah. “Yves, how long have Zamiyah’s eyes been turning black?”

“Huh?” he asked before looking at Zamiyah then back at Halo. “Her eyes have always done that when she gets angry. I thought it was normal. Something to do with her mage abilities.”

“Darkness isn’t from Fate.” Tiny appeared in front of Zamiyah.

“Catch her, Yves.” Minnie appeared on the other side of Zamiyah.

Then Tiny placed her hand on Zamiyah’s head.

“Rest my child,” she said with her hand glowing white.

Zamiyah’s eyes rolled into the back of her head, and her body went limp, falling backward.

Yves caught her with his quick reflexes, cradling her in his arms at first, then maneuvering her body until she was limply laying in his arms. Yves stood up, looking at Tiny and Minnie with fire in his eyes.

Neither of them looked fazed by his anger.

“What the fuck did you do to her?” he barked at them.

“Who is he yelling at, sister?” Minnie asked while looking at Tiny with her head tilted to the side and an amused grin on her lips.

“Himself. If he wants to be mad at anyone, he should be mad at himself for not paying attention to his mate,” Tiny responded coolly while shooting daggers at Yves.

“Clearly, he’s acting like that one over there,” Minnie snickered while looking at Cree.

“Don’t put me in that. I’ve been taking care of Halo,” Cree rebutted with a frown on his face.

“Now. We weren’t too sure a year ago.” Tiny rolled her eyes at Cree. “It seems we have been worried about the wrong brother. Yves, this darkness you are trying to ignore will continue to grow in Zamiyah. You are the only one who can help her fight it.”

“How?” Cree asked sorrowfully with his eyes glued on a sleeping Zamiyah.

“Light and Darkness can mix as long as there is a balance. A balance of harmony, Yin and Yang, is the perfect peace,” Minnie responded while looking at Yves.

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” Yves grumbled slowly as he raised his head to look at the sisters.

“Come with me. She needs to rest,” Minnie responded, ignoring Yves' question.

Yves looked at Tiny with a hardened expression. He took a deep breath before he followed Minnie with a frown on his face. Silently, we all watched the three of them disappear out of the restaurant.

“Delcan, you and Naiobi will be needed in the Feline Kingdom soon. They are ones who need guides from you two,” Tiny said to Delcan, and he nodded his head in acknowledgment.

“The four of you have connected paths. Good for two is good for all. The Sanctuary of Life is not only for Bellamy’s peace but Halo’s truths.

That’s where you need to be,” Tiny said while looking between Cree, Halo, Kenzo and me.

“We don’t even know how to get there,” Kenzo replied with defiance. It was clear he still didn’t want to go.

Smirking at him, Tiny shook her head. “You are worse than that one over there. If Fate is guiding you, you can never be lost. Allow Fate to lead you where you need to be.” After a few seconds of looking at all of us, Tiny gave her full attention to Kenzo again.

“Your deepest wishes lie on the journey there. Don’t be a fool,” Tiny said with finality and vanished right before all of our eyes.

“Delcan, do you think you and Yves will be okay if I go with Halo to The Sanctuary of Life?” Cree asked while looking at Delcan.

“We’ll be good. Besides, like Tiny said, we have Fate on our side. Nothing to be scared of,” Delcan replied calmly.

“I guess we leave for The Sanctuary in the morning,” Cree said with a look of uncertainty on his face.

Was I nervous? Absolutely, the more things felt real for me.

I was starting to understand how serious this entire situation was.

I wanted to know about who I was and what my role was in the Prophecy more than I was afraid.

Hearing we were going with no rebuttal from Kenzo made my night.

I would hold off on fucking Kenzo up for letting that bird bitch all over him… for now.
