Chapter 35

Chapter Thirty-Five

“It’s adorable how nervous you are.”

Glancing up from where I was tucking in my t-shirt, I find Skye resting against the doorway into my closet. She’s nice and cozy in her knee-length sweater and fuzzy socks.

This morning, I had finally worked up the courage to ask Bellamy to go out with me. He quickly agreed, grinning like crazy when I told him when we would be leaving.

Yes, I am nervous. I’ve never dated a guy before. And Bee is important to me. I don’t want to mess this up.

“You could take him anywhere and he wouldn’t care,” Skye reminds me. Her nose wrinkles, fingers twisting into the large sleeves of her top. “Okay, he might complain if you try to take him somewhere he has to sit still and be quiet for long periods of time.”

Snorting, I slide a dark gray athletic jacket over my t-shirt. “That would bore both of us.”

“Precisely.” Skye grabs the edges of the jacket and drags me closer, her nose pressing against my sternum. “He loves spending time with you. And if you suck his dick or something later, he’ll be in heaven.”

Fates damn it, I’d like to get out of the house without rocking a semi.

Nothing has happened between me and Bellamy since Skye’s heat.

Only a few kisses and a lot of cuddles. Seeing him dance around the house in gray sweatpants and a cut-off shirt has tested my self-control.

Many times, I’ve had to walk myself back from bending him over and wrapping my hand around his cock to jerk him off.

Would he have accepted my touch? Probably. But I want him to know that this is more than sexual tension. Which is why we’re going on a date. So I can show him how much he means to me.

“Go get your man. I’ll see you both in the morning for all the juicy post-date details.” Skye puckers her lips, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

Swatting her ass playfully, I kiss her deeply. “Be good for your other mates while we’re gone.”

Bellamy is waiting in the foyer. His eyes light up when I join him. “Damn, you look like a snack.”

My cheeks heat, and I mumble a quick thanks before slipping into my coat and shoes. “Ready?”

“For sure. Let’s hit the road.”

Shaking my hair out of my face, I follow him outside and down to the garage. The weather warmed up this week, melting a lot of the snow. Large patches of grass pop up around the yard, and the roads are clear and ice-free.

“Can I drive? You’ll have to tell me where we’re going.” I agree, sliding into the passenger seat of Bellamy’s Jeep. He loves taking it out, something he hasn’t gotten to do much of with the bad weather the past few weeks.

“Head to the gym, and I’ll direct you from there.”

We crank music on the radio and sing along, listening to an eclectic mix of songs on his playlist. There’s everything from Skye’s music to Primordial Covenant songs and heavier shit from bands that are new to me.

By the time we pull into the parking lot outside our date venue, my cheeks hurt from smiling.

Bellamy scans the various businesses along the strip, catching the way his eyes light up when he sees the glowing signage for our destination.

Rock Hard is another fitness center that offers climbing walls, obstacle courses, and aerial courses.

He stares for a moment before slapping his steering wheel with one hand. “That’s amazing.”

I lace my fingers with his and kiss the back of his palm. “I wanted something fun and active. The name was another perk.”

“I love it already. Come on, let’s go play.”

Chasing him out of the Jeep, we rush across the lot and to their doors, elbowing each other on our way in.

I pre-booked our tickets, but we still have to take a short safety lesson before we can explore.

They have a kid’s area, and all ages are welcome during the day, but this late in the evening, only adults fill the space.

After dropping our bags into a locker, I spin to face him. “Where to first, Bee?”

We race through several climbing walls, joking and ribbing each other, before we reach their beginner-level obstacle course. I fly through it, cheering Bellamy on as he follows behind me.

“Do I get a prize if I finish faster?” he asks as we face the entrance to the next level of difficulty.

Stepping closer, I put my lips against his ear, pitching my voice low. “If you beat me, I’ll take you home and suck your cock. But if I win, your ass is mine.”

He groans, his head falling back. “Damn. I don’t know what would be better: winning or losing.”

Bumping his hip with mine, I chalk my hands and steady myself. “See you on the other side, baby boy.”

“Fucking hell, that’s unfair.”

My laughter drops into a grunt as I rush forward, leaping between the angled steps that start the course. I slip a few times, but jump back into it, pushing myself until I reach the warped wall at the end. Climbing it leaves me gasping for breath, my arms burning with exhaustion.

I hit the button and snort, hands on my hips as I pace to relieve the stitch in my ribs.

“Okay,” Bellamy calls up, panting. He’s bent over, hands on his knees at the base of the wall. “You win. There’s no way I’m built for this shit.”

Dropping off the backside, I pull him into a headlock and ruffle his hair. “You could have done it, Bee. Just gotta put some muscle on these wings.”

“Fuck off,” he pants, shoving my arm loose until it’s tucked around his shoulders. “I love going to the gym, but this is next-level.”

Patting his chest, I steer us through the room and back toward the lockers to change. The athletic clothes we wore out are damp with sweat from the past hour and a half of activity.

I’m twisting my hair into a bun as I exit the locker room, bumping into Bellamy who is waiting outside the doors. His coat is in one hand, leaving his outfit on full display.

Does this man always have to look like a delicious little slut?

Another pair of gray sweats is slung low on his hips, showing off the white band of his boxers.

It’s his shirt that has me biting back a groan.

The navy material cuts off above his abs, molding to his chest and biceps.

On the front, an arrow labeled ‘option one’ points up, and another points down; this one option two.

“Ready?” he asks, oblivious to the possessive need he’s ignited in my body.

I motion him toward the exit as I try to control myself. I can’t smother the groan that slips through when he faces away from me and I see a third arrow on the back of his shirt pointing to his ass. Option three it is.

When we get to the Jeep, I stop him from starting the engine. “Pull your sweats down and show me your cock.” He rushes to do as I asked, shimmying them down his thighs. Leaning across the center console, I fist his length, drinking down his moan in a languid kiss.

I’ve never sucked someone off, but I’m not nervous. Bellamy trusts me. He’ll let me know what he likes.

Slow drags of my fist up and down his length build pre-cum on his tip. I lean down and lick it off, letting the earthy, slightly bitter taste coat my tongue. He whimpers when I swirl around the fat head of his cock, teasing his frenulum.

He squeaks, clutching the side of his seat with a white-knuckled grip when I open my hand and spit onto his length. “Fates, that’s fucking hot.”

With my eyes boring into his, I take his tip into my mouth and suck hard. I inch him between my lips, using my tongue to trace aimless patterns onto the underside of his cock.

I push too far, gagging around him, and pull back.

“Feels so good,” he praises. He hasn’t looked away since I started, those heat-filled baby blues locked in. I’m hard as hell having his focus so completely on me.

Bobbing up and down, I sneak a hand down to roll his balls between my fingers. Spit leaks from the corners of my mouth, pooling at his base and making the sloppy sounds of me blowing him ten times more erotic.

“I’m close,” he warns. His thighs tense, his breath catching just before his cock kicks, cum spurting onto my tongue.

Licking him clean, I wipe my mouth with the back of my hand and sit back in my seat. He’s wrecked, his eyes wide and his bottom lip flushed from biting it.

“We should grab food,” I say, buckling myself in.

“I don’t know how to respond to that. You’re wild, dude.” He winks at me, one arm latching onto the back of my seat as he backs out. “This makes the top ten dates I’ve been on, for sure.”

We grab tacos from a carryout spot a few blocks away from the gym, eating and talking as we drive home. I learn a lot about him. He’s the second-born with one older sister and three younger siblings, two of whom are twins. I met them at Skye’s birthday party several weeks ago.

His love for the outdoors comes from his parents. His mother is a forest ranger, and his father owns a landscaping company, so he spent a lot of time outside with them.

“What do your parents do?” he asks as we exit the highway.

“My mom teaches language arts, and my dad is the principal at her school. My father owns a construction company.”

“So you never got away with anything at home, did you?”

I gather our trash to take into the house. “If they didn’t catch me, my sister Cora would snitch. She’s a year and a half younger and loved getting me into trouble. Still does when I go home to visit.”

“I can’t wait to meet her. Bet we can come up with all sorts of ways to get your parents to ground you,” he jokes, shifting into park. I shove his arm, grumbling about him already teaming up with her to torment me.

Outside the front door, I grab his arm and pull him against my chest. “Thank you for going out with me tonight. I really like you, Bee.”

His lopsided grin is so damn cute I have to lean in and kiss it off his face.

“I feel the same, Caleb. Does this mean our night together is over?”

There isn’t any judgment or disappointment in his eyes, just acceptance. Whatever pace I want to take things, he’ll be right beside me.
