Chapter 1 Blocked After Class
I pressed my lips together.
I looked toward the classroom door, at the man bathed in sunset light.
He stood there as quiet as an angel, but his gaze locked on me and did not move.
People getting out of class passed him now and then, glanced at him, then huddled together and talked about how handsome he was.
I let out a small sigh in my heart.
I really hadn't expected this guy to block me on the first day of school.
I had thought that after two months of summer break, we would tacitly let things fade between us.
I couldn't help tightening my grip on my bag.
"Chu Yun, let's go to tonight's Group Dinner together."
Fang Zhe, the classmate on my left, packed his things and spoke to me like it was the most natural thing.
"What gathering?"
The man at the door was already standing beside me.
That clear, familiar voice slid into my ears and made me a little uneasy.
Fang Zhe looked Zhou Zhi'an up and down, puzzled.
"It's our class gathering. And you are?"
"Hello. I am Chu Yun's Childhood Friend, Zhou Zhi'an."
"Oh, oh. Hello, I'm Fang Zhe."
"Can this gathering bring extra people?"
Zhou Zhi'an asked Fang Zhe, but his eyes landed on me.
Fang Zhe hesitated.
"It should be fine."
Then Fang Zhe slung on his bag and leaned a little closer to me.
Zhou Zhi'an's eyes flashed. He braced a hand on the desk and casually cut off the space between me and Fang Zhe.
