Chapter 22 Walk at Sunset
Two years after getting together with Zhou Zhi'an, the families finally found out.
It started during summer break. We went back, and we kissed when we were leaving.
Zhou Zhi'an's Mom caught us on the spot.
Then we met the parents as a matter of course.
My Dad, who was always strict and busy, specially made time to meet Zhou Zhi'an.
During the talk, his eyes reddened. His hand kept patting Zhou Zhi'an's shoulder. His voice was full of pride in me as he gave Zhou Zhi'an one reminder after another.
Zhou Zhi'an listened quietly from start to finish, then agreed one by one.
After my Dad left, Zhou Zhi'an suddenly spoke.
"Want to take a walk?"
I nodded.
The sun was setting. Our leaning shadows were reflected on the ground.
A light breeze brushed my face. Flower scent reached my nose. The warmth of my lover came through my hand.
I spoke without meaning to.
"Zhou Zhi'an, I love you so much."
Zhou Zhi'an froze for a moment, stopped walking, showed a smile, and answered my words seriously.
"Chu Yun, I love you so much too."
