Chapter 22 #3
I clench around him, and he pinches my nipple. “The rules still apply, Grace. You don’t come without my permission. Now say it.”
“I’m yours,” I whimper. “Yours to protect, and pleasure, and punish, and cherish,” I say, ticking off the list in my head.
“Wrap your legs around me,” he instructs.
I comply, the new angle sending him deeper. A loud moan escapes me, echoing through the quiet store.
His hand releases mine to cover my mouth.
“Quiet, butterfly. There are security guards hanging around the doors, and I’m sure they aren’t soundproofed.”
The gentle reprimand sends an unexpected thrill through me, and I clench around him again. He chuckles and shakes his head. “I see that idea excites you. Naughty girl.” He replaces his hand with his mouth, kissing me deeply as he continues to fuck me, his motions growing more insistent.
Pressure builds inside me, and I’m getting close to an orgasm. Victor senses it, knowing my body’s signals well.
“Not yet,” he murmurs against my lips. “Behave and hold it back for me.”
The command makes my need for release even more intense, and I whimper, fighting the urge to let go.
“Please,” I whisper.
“Soon,” His eyes never leave mine, watching the struggle. “It’s a delight to watch you fight to be obedient.”
My body trembles beneath his, caught between my need and my desire to obey. Victor’s movements become more deliberate, slamming deeper into me with each thrust, the angle torturous because every time he drags out of me, it increases my desperation.
He tenses, slowing his pace, his fingers tightening their grip.
“Victor, please,” I whimper.
“Now,” he says with a grunt. “Come with me, Grace.”
The permission breaks the dam, and the orgasm slams into me, intensified by his cock thrusting into me like an extension of his command.
He tenses again, and his head falls back as he follows me into pleasure.
Letting out a roar that security and anyone outside for an evening stroll is sure to have heard.
Afterward, when he’s eased out of me and we’ve caught our breath, we sit against the shelves, a blanket draped around our shoulders. My head rests on his chest, his heartbeat steady beneath my ear.
His fingers trace lazy patterns on my bare shoulder.
“I never thought I would have this,” I say again in my post-orgasmic haze. “Someone like you. This feeling of belonging.”
Victor kisses my temple, his lips lingering. “I’ll make sure you never lose it again.”
The intensity of his promise makes me look up at him.
His eyes hold something darker. A secret.
For a moment, it seems like he wants to say more, to tell me something important.
Perhaps whatever it is he’s been holding back.
His mouth opens, then closes. I watch the internal debate play across his features.
“What is it?” I ask.
He shakes his head and kisses me again. “Nothing that can’t wait. Let’s just enjoy the time we have left.”
Whatever it is, it sits between us unspoken. I don’t press. After everything he’s given me tonight, it only seems fair. If he doesn’t tell me soon, though, I’ll have to press.
Still, as we begin to dress, I catch him watching me with an uncertain gaze. Whatever he’s not saying is weighing on him. Or perhaps it’s the same thing that’s weighing on me.
The fact that we’re about to step outside of this bubble he’s created for us and face the reality of our current circumstance.
His hand doesn’t leave mine as he opens the passenger door of his car, and I slide into the seat. He squeezes and stares down at me for a moment before finally releasing me to go to his side.
The drive back to the club is quiet, my body still humming from Victor’s touch, my mind replaying the evening as Victor’s hand rests on my thigh.
“Thank you,” I say as we approach the familiar streets near The High Card. “For tonight. For remembering.”
Victor squeezes my thigh gently. “You needed it. We both did.”
He turns into the parking lot for the club, and reality begins to seep back in. Victor’s expression shifts subtly, the carefree man from the bookstore retreating behind the mask of protector and Dom.
“I need to check in with Owen,” he says as he helps me out of the car. “See if there’s any news.”
I nod, understanding but still reluctant to let the evening end. “I’ll find Lili. Tell her about our date.”
His smile is warm, and he pulls me close for another kiss. “It was her idea. Go. I’ll find you both later.”
We separate at the main dungeon, Victor heading toward Owen’s office, while I make my way toward the hallway of suites.
Most of them are occupied now. Each of the owners and their partners are using one, Hunter and Trinity and Samuel and Erin in two more.
Tyson and Sabrina are also staying the night.
Even the security team has been given rooms to allow them to rest between shifts.
Our temporary life in lockdown has developed its own rhythm.
I find our suite and knock softly on the door even though I have the code, just so I don’t startle Lili.
The door flies open and she grins. “Get in here and tell me everything, lover.”
