1. Ozyris Brentley #3

When we hopped out, Ginger and I signed a few autographs and took some pictures before heading up the steps onto the jet. Simone stayed behind to handle the bags with the driver.

Once we were seated, Ginger got straight to snapping pictures, then climbed onto my lap. "Smile, babe." She got her shot, then slid into the seat beside me, back on her phone, laughing at something and typing away.

My phone pinged from Derez. It was a link, and when I opened it up, I saw a few clips from the documentary.

There we were, me and Noree in the booth, heads close together, harmonizing on that unfinished record.

Watching it back, I felt something warm creep up in my chest, remembering how good it felt being around her that weekend, how easy it was, how pretty she was, how good she smelled, her laugh, our conversations, and how good her pussy was.

Noree was… amazing, real talk.

I was smiling to myself when Ginger leaned over, trying to peek at my screen, so I closed it out.

That's when the stewardess came down the aisle, a tray of shots balanced in her hand. Leaning over toward me, she had to probably be about twenty-five, young, pretty, brown skin, nice natural hair, nice lips, all that shit, but none of that fazed me anymore.

"Happy birthday, Ozy Love. We're so happy to have you on board."

"Thank you, love," I said, reaching for a glass.

"Bitch, are you fucking crazy?" Ginger was already up out of her seat within a matter of seconds.

The girl straightened up fast, confused. "I'm sorry?"

"Why the hell is your cleavage out like that in front of my man?"

"I'm so sorry, ma'am. I didn't realize. I'll go fix my top." She turned to walk off, and Ginger shoved her hard enough that she stumbled and the whole tray of shots crashed to the floor.

"Aye, Gin, what the fuck?" I snapped. "Chill."

I was annoyed, but Ginger was already in the girl's face, pointing her finger. Shawty looked scared as fuck.

"Don't you ever do that again! I'll have you fired. I'll make sure you never work in this industry again."

She kept going, and I saw security step forward, looking at me for direction. I shook my head at them, telling them to stand down.

Simone came up the steps right in the middle of it, stopping in confusion, and the pilot came out from the cockpit. "Everything okay back here?"

The stewardess, near tears, started explaining how she didn't do anything wrong, she was just doing her job, and I was so damn frustrated with the whole morning at that point, I just said, "Fuck it. I'm not going."

Ginger spun around. "What do you mean you're not going?"

"I don't wanna go to Costa Rica. I'm cool off all this shit."

"Are you kidding me right now? I planned couples massages, sunrise and sunset photo shoots for your birthday, and I had a whole cake made." She kept listing things off, her voice getting louder, but I was already walking off the fucking plane.

Gin dramatically came running after me, yelling my name.”

Ozyris! What is going on? What do you mean you're not going?"

I got to the truck, and the driver rushed around to open my door fast, probably sensing shit was about to pop off.

Simone hurried off the plane behind us. "Sir, uh… is everything okay?"

"Aye… get my bags from under the plane," I told the driver.

I climbed into the back seat, and the driver shut the door, then headed to grab my bags. Ginger stood outside, arms crossed, mouth hanging open in shock. She tapped on the window, and I rolled it down.

"Are you seriously doing this on your birthday? I'm trying to be there for you, and you're canceling on me?"

"Nah, yo' ass doing too much, love. You jealous of a girl who ain't even do shit wrong. And on top of that, I just lost the biggest bag of my career, and this the shit you do?"

"I'm sorry, babe." She pouted, but that shit wasn't finna work on me today.

"Nah, I'm good on it. This what you always do. We have good moments, and then you gotta go and do something like this." I shook my head. "You can still go to Costa Rica. I'm good, though."

"Fine." She turned and walked back toward the jet without another word, stomping, being even more dramatic than before.

Simone leaned into the window a second later, still a little awkward. "Sir, uh… since I'm assistant to both of you, did you want me to come with you, or should I still head to Costa Rica with Ms. Ginger?"

"Go, enjoy yourself, Simone," I told her. "Don't worry about anything I got going on. Only thing I need is for you to move all my meetings back to their original time since I had to push some back to come on this trip in the first place."

"Okay, I'm on it." She was already tapping away on her phone, and a small smile crept up on her face.

"Have a good time," I said.

"Thank you so much. I really appreciate it."

"No problem."

I rolled the window up, and a minute later, the driver came back around after loading my bags back into the trunk.

The truck pulled off, leaving the jet and everything else behind, heading back toward the house.

I opened the video one more time… looking at her. The way she looked at me, our chemistry… man, that shit was undeniable, for real.
