Chapter 27

ISAAC

Ihad found heaven and it was between Jasmine Saad’s legs. While it wasn’t the most romantic thought, I had never really done romance very well. I dealt mostly in facts and things that made sense, and right now, it made complete sense to me that this was an otherworldly place of pure happiness.

The taste of her consumed me. The way her legs trembled around my ears made me feel like Superman. I licked another line through her folds and sucked her clit into my mouth. She let out a husky, breathless moan and my cock tried to punch through my zipper.

I loved the sounds this woman made. Adjusting my position on the couch in a useless attempt at getting comfortable, I finally realized that this wasn’t going to work. I need a bed. Pronto.

While I could get the job done here, I didn’t want to. This might well be my last chance to be with her and I wasn’t about to rush through it on the couch.

Jasmine’s fingers tugged at my hair. Her hips rolled against my mouth. When I glanced up, her lips were parted, her brow was furrowed, and her eyes were closed. Okay, so she’s going to hate me for this, but only for a minute.

I slowed my movements, sat up, and pushed to my feet. Her eyes fluttered open. Confusion splashed across her features when she saw me standing up. The anger I’d expected followed just a fraction of a second later.

“Where the hell are you going?”

“To my bedroom.” I slid my arms around her naked body, picked her up, and tossed her over my shoulder. “Don’t worry, you’re coming with me.”

“Isaac,” she groaned and laughed as I strode to the hallway. “Why?”

“There’s more space there and I plan on taking my time with you. I’m not doing that while my dick is squashed and your elbow keeps banging into the frame of the couch.”

“I didn’t even notice that.” She squirmed when I ran my hand up the back of her thigh as I carried her down the hall. “Isaac, no.”

“I think you mean yes.” I smacked her ass, not even a little surprised when it made her moan instead of protest. I ran my fingers farther up her thigh, gathering her wetness on my fingertips and groaning at the slick, velvety feel of her. “Definitely yes.”

“You can’t do that while you’re carrying me,” she muttered, but there was no fight in the words. “For a second there, I thought you were getting up to leave right then.”

“Never,” I promised, and I meant it too. Not only would I never leave her hanging like that, but I’d honestly forgotten for a little while there that I was leaving at all. “I thought we weren’t talking about that tonight.”

“We’re not. It was just the first thing that popped into my head when you stood up.” There was an undercurrent of sadness to her tone that I absolutely would not have right now.

As it was, I’d tried to stop her earlier because I knew how much worse doing this was going to make it when the time finally did come, and I was already hurting pretty fucking badly over the idea of having to leave at all, but I couldn’t let that reality crash in for either of us right now.

Thankfully, we reached my bedroom and I strode straight to my bed, laying her down on the mattress before straightening up and popping the button on my jeans. “Just stop thinking for now, okay?”

She propped herself up on her elbows, her eyes on me.

I tugged down my zipper and pushed my jeans and underwear off seconds later.

I smiled, just staring at her lying there on my bed, all lean curves and golden skin.

Jasmine seemed to be allergic to body hair, not a strand in sight from the neck down, but I wasn’t complaining.

It meant I could see every inch of her, even that glistening slice of heaven between her legs.

As I dragged my gaze back up to her eyes, I found them fixed firmly on my cock and I wrapped my fist around it. My muscles tensed when I started stroking. Her tongue darted out to lick her lips, but when she tried to sit up, I knew what she was about to do. It just wasn’t her turn yet.

“Nope,” I said, crawling onto the bed with her and spreading her legs nice and wide with my hands. “I was still busy.”

“I think you forfeited when you stopped.”

“I absolutely did not.” I settled between her legs, my face only inches away from her pussy, and ran my hands up the insides of her thighs. “Is this really something you want to argue about?”

“Have you met me? I want to argue with you about everything, but if you insist.” She smiled, then lay back against the mattress, her fingers already curling into the sheets. “Just remember that you already stopped once, and whatever you do to me, I get to do to you.”

“I can take it.” I smirked, sliding a finger into her wet heat and not missing the tremble that passed through her. “Can you?”

With absolutely no intention of finding out, I circled my tongue around her clit again, and this time, I didn’t stop until she’d come. Twice.

When I finally lay down beside her, I was right on the edge. She crawled closer and I shook my head. “I need a minute.”

“No, you don’t.” She tucked her hair behind her ear and smiled, getting comfortable on her knees before taking me to a whole other version of heaven. Her mouth was absolute perfection, hot, and wet, and bouncing enthusiastically before she wrapped her fingers around me and moaned.

I had no shot of lasting and she knew it, working me to the brink of insanity.

Probably as payback for me stopping earlier to bring her to my bed.

She brought me to a mind-altering climax.

Pleasure exploded out of me and I tried to warn her, but she only pulled away after she’d swallowed every last drop of my release.

With my bones liquefied and my eyelids already growing heavy, I opened my arms and motioned her toward me. “Come here.”

“Are you crazy? I’m still playing. We’re just getting started.” She flashed me a smirk that proved she meant business.

A couple hours and several more rounds later, she finally crawled into my arms. “There. Now I’m done.”

I laughed, settling her against me and pressing a kiss to her shoulder. “Who knew you were so insatiable?”

“Who knew you had so much stamina?”

Chuckling again, I let my eyes drift shut, still thinking about my comeback when I opened them what felt like only seconds later, but suddenly, there was morning light streaming through my windows. Holy shit. We fell asleep.

I blinked a couple times, but when I finally managed to focus, Jasmine was still there, sleeping soundly with her back to my front and my arm draped across her waist. I pressed another kiss to her shoulder, trying not to think too hard about the fact that she’d spent the night as I slid out bed and pulled on some sweats.

That woman is going to be the death of me. I’m sure of it. What a way to go, though.

Padding to the kitchen without waking her up, I made some coffee and grabbed some bagels out of the freezer, only just getting them ready before she appeared in the doorway.

She was wearing one of my button-down shirts with the shorts she’d had on yesterday, my sleeves rolled up to her elbows and the buttons only done up to about midway through her cleavage.

“You really are trying to kill me, aren’t you?” I finally picked my jaw up off the floor and shook my head, then pushed a cup of coffee across the counter toward her. “It looks much better on you, though. You should keep it.”

“I was already going to,” she said sweetly, flashing me a smile. She walked over to me instead of the coffee. Her arms slid around my neck as if they belonged there, her soft, warm body pressing against mine. “You look pretty good yourself, Thayer. Freshly fucked is a great look on you.”

I winked and wrapped an arm around her hips, pulling her closer before pressing another searing kiss to her lips. “I don’t know. I feel like it could be fresher. It’s been a couple hours. What do you say we?—”

A knock on my door interrupted the sentence and I groaned, fully planning on ignoring it until Joseph’s voice filtered through the wood. “I know you’re still here, Isaac. Hassan told me you haven’t left yet.”

Jasmine smiled playfully. Those dark eyes twinkled with a weird sort of delight as she cocked her head at me. “Well, are you going to let your friend in or do you need me to hide first?”

“Fuck that.” I let go of her and strode to the door, turning to look at her over my shoulder as I pulled it open. “Don’t you dare hide. Ever.”

Joseph gave me a puzzled look when I stepped aside to let him in. “Who’s not hiding?”

“Jasmine,” I said, loudly enough that I knew she would be able to hear me. I shut the door behind him and frowned at the model building he held in his hands. It was of the industrial compound we weren’t going to be building. “What is that doing here?”

“I wasn’t ready to let go of it yet,” he said absently, glancing between Jasmine and me with confusion clouding his eyes. “Am I interrupting something?”

Jasmine smiled and waved a dismissive hand. “You’ve already interrupted. The moment has passed. Is that the complex the board passed on?”

Joseph set it down on my dining-room table.

She strode closer immediately, leaning over to inspect it “So this is what you’ve been doing all this time you spent in Egypt, huh? Other than hanging out with me, that is.”

“Yeah.” I slid my hands into the pockets of my sweats.

Without really meaning to, I drifted closer to her, hating having to look at that thing now but still wanting to show her what she’d inspired.

“It’s green energy focused, walkable, and we think it looks more like a historical site than warehouses and production plants. ”

“We even designed a walkable neighborhood around it for the workers,” Joseph added quietly. “Plus, it’s all solar powered and it blends in with the architecture of the city as a whole.”

“It’s beautiful,” Jasmine whispered, but oddly, she grew really quiet then. Just as I was about to ask if she was okay, she pulled out her phone, snapped a picture, and then pressed a lingering kiss to my cheek right in front of Joseph. “I’ll see you later, okay?”

I frowned. “Okay?”

She pointed a finger at me even as she started backing toward the door. “Do not dare set foot anywhere near the airport, do you hear me?”

I dropped my chin in a nod, then exhaled a heavy breath through my nose when she hurried away and slammed the door. Before I could even begin to wonder what the hell she was up to this time, Joseph turned to me with his eyes as wide as saucers.

“Dude, did I just see Basel Saad’s daughter kiss you?” he asked incredulously. “What the hell, man? I thought you said she was just your tour guide.”
