chapter 1

(Maya! Get up quickly, it's your first day at University)

Today is my first day at uni , I'm very excited to start my day but still very worried as I have Mathamatics class first at 10 AM sharp. With a dramatic sigh I get off my bed and walk towards my mirror.

"Hayee kitni Sundar lag rahi hoon main, kisi ki Nazar na Lage" i said looking at my reflection while my mother gives my side eyes.

(Wow, look at me , how pretty I am. )

"Ho gaya tumhara?? Jao jaldi se shower lelo hoor ki pari" my mother replied while throwing towel at me. Thankfully I catch it well.

(Done?)

I step in the bathroom locking the door behind me, I took a warm bath that helps me relaxing. After a half an hour i step out from the bathroom wrapped in towel . I saw my clothes are ready in my bed.

(Her outfit)

I straighten my hair a little before putting light make-up on my face. I decided to let down my hair for Today.

I walk downstairs where my family was already having breakfast, I take sit beside my brother and greet everyone with a warm smile.

After finishing my breakfast, i re-check my bag and walk towards the puja room and pray to Lord Krishna for my good day.

"Maya beta? Let your brother drop you today" my father said walking towards me and give me a gentle pat on my head. I smile and nodded.

I saw Raj aka my brother walking towards the car and signalling me to follow him. As I say goodbye to everyone I follow Raj to his car.

"Jaldi Beth ja " he said , his tone teasing yet gentle.

(Sit Quickly)

"Haan haan , beth rahi hoon" i replied getting on the car.

( Yeah yeah , I'm Coming)

Raj started the car, glancing at me with a smirk. "You took forever to sit. What were you doing? Calculating the car's age before getting in?"

I rolled my eyes. "No, I was making sure it wouldn't throw me out the moment you start driving like a race car driver."

Raj scoffed. "Excuse me, madam, I drive like a gentleman."

I crossed my arms. "Oh really? Then why does Mom clutch her seatbelt and chant Hanuman Chalisa whenever she sits with you?"

Raj gasped dramatically. "That was one time! And the dog jumped in front of the car, not my fault!"

I chuckled. "Yeah, yeah. Anyway, just don't get us both killed before I reach uni ."

Raj shook his head. "You're so dramatic. Where do you get this attitude from?"

I smirked. "From the same place you got your bad driving skills our genes."

Raj sighed. "Why did I agree to drop you?"

I patted his shoulder. "Because you love your little sister and can't say no to me."

Raj made a face. "I regret it already."

I grinned. "Too late now. Drive, driver!"

He groaned, but I could see the fond smile on his face as he pulled out of the driveway.

As we arrived at the university, I stepped out of the car and took a deep breath, taking in the vast campus. It was so big that I couldn't even figure out where my lecture hall was.

Wandering around in search of the Maths lecture room, I suddenly collided with someone.

"Ouch!" I gasped, nearly losing my balance, but before I could hit the ground, strong arms caught me. My eyes fluttered open, and I found myself staring at a tall, strikingly handsome guy. His dark eyes widened slightly as they met mine.

"Watch where you're going," he said, his voice deep, cold, and commanding.

I blinked, momentarily stunned by his tone before irritation flared up inside me.

"Oh, hello? Mister, that was your fault! You bumped into me. Ankhein nahi hai kya?" I snapped, crossing my arms as I glared at him.

He took a step closer, his gaze sharp and dangerous, his eyes filled with icy coldness.

"Watch your tone, little girl," he warned, his voice firm and unwavering.

I scoffed, crossing my arms. "I'm not a little girl, Mister. I'm 21," I shot back, stepping away, though my eyes never left his.

"And I'm 29," he declared, his voice laced with authority.

Before I could snap back and put him in his place, a voice called out from behind me.

"Mr. Singhania? The Maths lecture is about to start."

I turned around, my breath hitching as I spotted the vice principal standing there, casually sipping his tea.

I froze. Wait... Mr. Singhania? The Mathematics professor I had heard about? No way. Fuck, Maya...

Heart pounding, I slowly turned back-only to find him glaring at me like a predator sizing up its prey. His eyes held a dangerous glint, sending a shiver down my spine.

Then, without another word, he turned and walked away.

Fuck Maya you are doomed.
