As I was rolling on my bed, my phone suddenly buzz with a notification from our uni gc noticing us that The uni is organised a trip to Shimla for 4 days.

When I saw this message, my happiness was reaching the peek. Finally enjoying...but then a realisation hit me like a rock. Wait..uni organised...it's means the professor will be there to.. including mr.khadoos.

I sigh , thinking about my luck...but then I thought... Zindigi mai aisa mauka aur kab milega ...so ignore Mr.khadoos.

After confirming the GS that I'll be joining, I go ask for permission from my Parents...yes After informing the uni GS kyuki mujhe pata hai baba mana nahi karenge.

"Nahi" my mouth fell open when baba said no to trip. Why why why????

I sigh, knowing too well what action to pull right now. If logic doesn't work then emotional blackmail will. I come up with some fake tears and start sniffing.

"Kyu?? Baba aap mujhe ab pyarr nahi karte" I said while fake sniffing, while Raj's shoulder are shaking to control his Laugh.

Agar yeh hasha ...toh main iska khoon Kar dungi.

Baba's stern expression wavered. His brows furrowed, and I could see the exact moment his heart started to melt.

He sighed, rubbing his forehead like he was fighting an internal battle. But I knew I had already won.

"Acha theek hai, jao," he finally said, shaking his head in defeat. "Lekinβ€”"

"BABA, YOU'RE THE BEST!" Before he could even finish his sentence, I jumped forward and wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly.

He chuckled, patting my head. "Haan haan, bas ab dimag mat khao."

Just as I was basking in my victory, Raj's voice ruined the moment.

"Drama queen."

I turned to glare at him, but he was already grinning.

"Bhai, baba ke emotions ke saath aise khelti hai jaise koi daily soap ki villain ho."

I picked up a cushion and launched it straight at his face. "CHUP KAR!"

Raj caught the cushion, laughing. "Acha baba, ab jo tu khud ko Simran samajh rahi hai... batao Raj beta, kab train pakdega?"

I groaned, "RAJ, SHUT UP."

"Nahi matlab, trip pe jaa rahi hai, waha Mr. Khadoos bhi hogaβ€”"

I stiffened.

Raj's grin widened. "OHHO."

Before he could say another word, I picked up another cushion.

He ran.

I chased him.

And somewhere in between, Baba just sighed and prayed for peace.

After returning to my room, i decided to take a shower to fresh my mind again. The warm water spray on my body helping me relaxing.

After returning to my room, I sighed in relief.

To clear my mind, I decided to take a long, hot shower. The warm water cascaded over my skin, washing away the day's exhaustion. My muscles relaxed, and so did my thoughts.

Well... almost.

Somewhere between rinsing my hair and wrapping a towel around me, Mr. Khadoos' face flashed in my head.

Ugh. NO. Get out. Shoo.

Shaking the thought away, I stepped out of the shower, slipped into my comfy pajamas, and grabbed my phone. A good mood calls for good music.

The moment "Chikni Chameli" started playing, a mischievous grin spread across my face.

And then?

I lost control.

I grabbed my hairbrush, used it as a mic, and started dancing around my room like I was Katrina Kaif herself.

????? ?? ?????? ??

????-?????? ????? ??

?? ????? ?????

??? ?? ????? ????? ??? ?? ??

?? ????? ?????

??? ?? ????? ????? ??? ?? ??

Twisting, spinning, flipping my hairβ€”I was on FIRE.

My bed? Turned into a stage. My towel? Used as a prop. My reflection in the mirror? Judging me, but whatever.

I was living my Bollywood heroine fantasy.

Untilβ€”exhaustion finally hit.

Panting, I collapsed onto my bed, hugging my pillow.

The night felt warm, peaceful... strangely comforting.

I closed my eyes.

And thenβ€” I saw him. Mr. Khadoos.

Standing there, arms crossed, his dark eyes piercing into mine. A smirk tugging at his lips.

Wait. Why is he here? In my dream?!

Before I could make sense of it, his voice echoed in my head.

"Maya..."

I jerked awake.

My heart was racing.

"Oh HELL NO."

Why. Why am I dreaming about him?!

I groaned, pulling my blanket over my head.

This trip to Shimla? Might just be the death of me.

I woke up to the obnoxious blaring of my alarm, ringing right beside me like it had a personal vendetta against my sleep.

For a solid five seconds, I debated throwing it against the wall.

With a loud groan, I finally surrendered, forcing my eyes open. Stretching my arms, I rolled on the bed lazilyβ€”the universal ritual after a damn good nap.

After a few moments of refusing to be a functioning human, I finally dragged myself up.

First things firstβ€”my bed.

I neatly folded my blanket and smoothed out the sheets, making sure everything was perfect. Because if there's one place I love the most in this world, it's my bed.

With a satisfied nod, I tied my hair up in a messy bun, then glanced at my reflection in the mirror.

As usualβ€”stunning.

Even with my morning face.

Smirking to myself, I grabbed my toothbrush and went straight to the bathroom.

As soon as the minty freshness hit my tongue, I started waking up properly. I hummed a random song, brushing lazily, before rinsing my mouth and hopping into the shower.

The moment the warm water hit my skin, I let out a sigh of relief.

Bliss.

I took my sweet time in the shower, enjoying the warmth, before finally stepping out and wrapping myself in a towel. Feeling fresh and awake, I changed into a comfortable outfit and made my way downstairs.

The aroma of freshly made parathas filled the air, making my stomach growl.

"Maaaaaaa, I'm starving!" I whined, plopping onto my seat at the dining table.

Raj, already munching on his food, looked at me and smirked. "Tu hamesha bhukhi hi rehti hai."

I grabbed a piece of paratha from his plate and stuffed it in my mouth. "Aur tu hamesha irritate karne wala bhoot rehta hai."

Before Raj could throw a comeback, Mom smacked him on the shoulder.

"Bas karo tum dono, shanti se nashta kar lo!" she scolded, shaking her head.

I grinned, stuffing my mouth with more paratha. Today was already off to a great start.

As I happily stuffed my mouth with another bite of crispy, buttery paratha, my phone vibrated on the table.

I grabbed it lazily and unlocked the screenβ€”only to nearly choke on my food.

GS: Reminderβ€”Shimla trip, tomorrow morning. Be at the university gate by 6 AM sharp.

Wait.

Tomorrow?!

I thought we still had a couple of days! Where did time go?!

"Baba, Raj!" I panicked, turning to them with wide eyes. "Trip kal subah hai!"

Raj snorted. "Aur tujhe aaj yaad aaya?"

I smacked his arm. "Shut up! Mujhe shopping bhi karni hai!"

Raj frown "tujhe Shopping se fursat nahi milti kya?"

"Shut up" i snapped.

Baba shook his head with a small chuckle. "Ja beta, le aa jo chahiye. Par ek kaam karnaβ€”packing aaj raat ko hi kar lena."

"Obviously!" I huffed, already making a mental checklist.

I hurriedly finished my breakfast and rushed back upstairs. Outfits, shoes, essentialsβ€”I needed everything to be perfect.

As I opened my wardrobe, my mind betrayed me with an image.

Mr. Khadoos.

I paused, frowning.

Why did I suddenly think of him?

Shaking my head, I muttered, "Ignore, ignore, ignore."

This trip was going to be fun, relaxing, drama-free.

At least, that's what I told myself.
