Chapter 29
After the class, I was walking around the hallway thinking about what should I eat. But then suddenly I felt someone grabbing my wrist and pulling me in a empty class room.
I was just about to scream but then a deep voice whisper in my ear " shhh.. girlfriend"
My eyes widen and I turn around and saw Rudra standing there smiling at me.
"You almost gave me a heart attack, Mr. Khadoos," I hissed, pressing a hand to my racing heart.
His smirk deepened. "Mr. Khadoos in class. Boyfriend outside."
I opened my mouth to retort, but before I could, he leaned in, brushing his lips against my forehead in the softest of kisses.
My heart melted.
"Someone might see us," I whispered, but my voice lacked conviction.
He hummed, his fingers grazing my wrist, sending a shiver up my spine. "Then be quiet, little furball."
I glared at him, but he only chuckled, his eyes dark with mischief. "Still mad about earlier?"
I crossed my arms. "Who said I was mad?"
"Oh?" He took a step closer, his warmth surrounding me. "So, if I do this..." He bent down and pressed a feather-light kiss on my cheek, "...you won't push me away?"
I swallowed hard, my resolve crumbling.
Silence.
Then, before I could process, he stole another peck-this time on the tip of my nose.
"Rudra!" I whisper-yelled, smacking his arm.
His low chuckle sent a pleasant shiver through me. "I'll take that as a no."
I huffed, but the smile tugging at my lips betrayed me. "You're impossible."
He tilted my chin up with his fingers, his expression softening. "And you love it."
I should've argued. Should've denied it. But instead, I just let myself sink into his warmth, into the stolen moments that made my heart race.
Because, truthfully?
I did.
I hated how easily he made my heart race. How just one smirk, one stolen touch, had me melting like ice cream under the sun.
"I have class," I muttered, attempting to step away, but Rudra's fingers curled gently around my wrist.
"Five more minutes." His voice was deep, coaxing. "I haven't seen you properly all day."
I arched a brow. "We literally had a whole class together, Professor."
His lips twitched. "And I had to pretend you were just another student."
I bit my lip, trying to suppress the butterflies wreaking havoc inside me. "That's because I am just another student."
His eyes darkened as he tugged me closer. "You're mine."
A rush of warmth spread through me, but I wasn't going to let him win that easily.
"Oh?" I tilted my head, feigning thoughtfulness.
"Because earlier, when that external teacher was basically drooling over you, you didn't even flinch. Should I be impressed by your self-control, or worried that you're immune to pretty women?"
His smirk widened as he leaned in, his lips just a breath away from mine. "The only woman who affects me is standing right in front of me."
My breath hitched. His voice, his gaze-it was too much, too overwhelming.
"Rudra..." I whispered, unable to look away.
He hummed in response, his hand brushing my cheek before cupping my face entirely. His thumb ran over my lower lip, his eyes darkening at my sharp inhale.
Then, just when I thought he'd finally kiss me
He stepped back.
I blinked, stunned. "What-"
He grinned, cocky and all too satisfied. "Go to class, Miss Raichand."
Heat rushed to my face as I realized what just happened. "You-!"
But before I could finish my sentence, he was already walking towards the door, hands in his pockets like he hadn't just turned my world upside down.
"See you after class, girlfriend."
And with that, he was gone, leaving me standing there, breathless and utterly, hopelessly smitten.
After that when I checked my phone I saw notification about having Maths class again as the History Professor was absent. With a sigh i turn around the walk again towards the classroom.
The rest of the class passed in a daze. Every time I tried to focus, my eyes betrayed me, drifting toward Rudra. He was at the front of the room, explaining some complex equation, but all I could think about was the way his voice had sounded when he whispered girlfriend in my ear.
I chewed on my pen, trying to suppress a ridiculous smile. This was bad. Really bad. How was I supposed to concentrate when my professor-no, my boyfriend-was making me feel like this?
"Miss Raichand," his deep voice snapped me out of my thoughts.
I looked up, startled, only to find Rudra's intense gaze locked onto me. The corner of his lips twitched as if he knew exactly what I'd been thinking about.
"Since you seem so... engaged in class today, why don't you solve this equation?" He gestured to the board.
My eyes widened. "I-uh-"
He raised a brow, waiting. The entire class turned to stare at me. My heart hammered.
That smug, teasing expression on his face? Oh, he was enjoying this way too much.
I stood up slowly, narrowing my eyes at him as I made my way to the board. Picking up the chalk, I tried to recall everything I'd studied, but my brain was still stuck on girlfriend.
Muttering under my breath, I scribbled the answer, praying it was correct.
Rudra leaned in slightly, pretending to inspect my work. The proximity sent a shiver down my spine. Then, just loud enough for only me to hear, he murmured, "Cute when you're nervous."
My breath hitched.
I turned to glare at him, but his face was unreadable-at least to everyone else. Only I could see the amusement dancing in his dark eyes.
"You may sit down, Miss Raichand," he said smoothly. "Well done."
I bit back a grin as I returned to my seat. The moment I sat down, my phone buzzed with a new message.
Rudra: I love watching you blush, sweetheart.
I sucked in a sharp breath, my cheeks burning. This man was going to be the death of me.
After Class,I tried to make a quick escape after class, but Rudra had other plans. Just as I reached the hallway, a strong hand wrapped around my wrist, pulling me into an empty corridor .AGAIN
"You're making this a habit," I muttered, crossing my arms.
His lips twitched. "And you're making it too easy to tease."
I rolled my eyes. "Are you done torturing me?"
He stepped closer, tilting his head as he studied my face. "Not even close."
Before I could protest, he leaned in and placed the softest, quickest peck on my nose.
I froze.
Then, another kiss. This time, on my cheek.
"Rudra-"
He pulled back, smirking. "What? We're dating, girlfriend."
I was going to combust. Right here. Right now.
"You're impossible," I mumbled, but my voice betrayed me, laced with affection.
He chuckled, brushing his fingers lightly over mine. "And you're adorable when you try to act mad."
I wanted to fight back, to come up with some clever retort-but all thoughts vanished the moment his fingers laced through mine, squeezing gently.
"I have a meeting," he said after a moment, sighing like he didn't want to go. "But I'll see you later?"
I nodded, still dazed.
He smirked. "Good girl."
And with that, he was gone, leaving me gripping my chest like an idiot, trying to calm the butterflies that had taken over my entire existence.
