CHAPTER 46
A week after their dreamy honeymoon in Manali, the newlyweds stepped back into the grand Singhania Mansion-hand in hand, laughter spilling freely as if nothing had changed, yet everything had.
The air of the mansion still carried the scent of freshly polished wood and roses from the garden, but now, it held something new too-something warmer, sweeter... the scent of love, comfort, and late-night kisses.
Rudra opened the door like a gentleman, gesturing for Maya to step in first. "Welcome home, Mrs. Khadoos," he whispered, eyes gleaming with playful mischief.
Maya rolled her eyes, dragging their bag behind her. "You really don't get tired of calling me that, do you?"
"Never," he said, smirking. "It's your official designation now."
Before she could reply with one of her sassy comebacks, Veer popped out from behind the staircase like a sneaky little brother on a mission. "And here come the lovebirds!" he announced, dramatically clapping his hands. "Did the snow melt because of your steamy honeymoon, bhaiya?"
Rudra narrowed his eyes. "One more word, Veer, and I'll tell Maya about the time you tried to sneak into that girl's birthday party wearing my cologne and pretending to be me."
Maya turned toward Veer with mock shock. "Really, Veer? My husband's identity?"
Veer grinned sheepishly. "Okay okay, I take it back. Welcome home, bhabhi."
The mansion buzzed again with life. Rudra's mother fussed over Maya like she was made of glass. "Beta, you must be tired! Sit, I'll make your favorite chai."
Maya tried to protest, but Rudra gently pulled her to the couch. "Let her spoil you," he said, brushing her hair off her forehead. "I'll join you in a few minutes. Got a few messages to check."
Maya watched him walk away, already missing the warmth of his palm in hers. She had gotten so used to his touch in Manali-the way he held her hand while walking down snowy paths, or how his arm would curl around her waist as they watched the sunset.
Later that evening, Rudra stepped out onto the terrace to find Maya in one of his shirts, sipping her tea, barefoot and wind-kissed. She looked like she belonged there-with the stars, the city lights, and him.
"Missing Manali?" he asked softly, coming up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist.
"Maybe a little. But I'm happy we're home too. I love the chaos here."
He kissed the top of her head. "Then let's keep building this chaos. Together."
The night rolled into laughter. They watched old wedding videos on a laptop with Veer loudly giving commentary on Rudra's awkward dancing and Maya's sassy walk. At one point, their friends video-called them and begged for a sequel to their story.
"You think this is a fairytale?" Maya said into the screen. "Rudra still snores."
"I do not snore!" Rudra argued.
Veer snorted. "He definitely does."
But later that night, as Rudra pulled Maya into bed, she looked up at him and whispered, "Even if it's chaos, even if it's loud and messy and insane-I wouldn't want to live any other life... as long as you're in it."
Rudra leaned in, brushing his lips against hers gently. "Then I promise to be your chaos. Always."
She smiled against his lips. "And I'll be your peace."
The curtains swayed as the wind hummed around them. And inside that room, with soft kisses, tangled limbs, and whispered dreams, Rudra and Maya wrote the final lines of their first chapter.
Because even though their story started with glances and banter in a classroom, it ended here-with love, laughter, and a forever that felt just right.
For them It's Still a Arranged Marriage but for
Mr.khadoos and His Little furball?
It's their win to their LOVE that Turn into LOVE MARRIAGE
As the night stretched on and the quiet hum of the house wrapped around them, Maya and Rudra lay in the stillness, the weight of their shared past and the promise of their future heavy in the air.
Rudra's hand gently rested on Maya's, his fingers intertwined with hers, grounding them both.
They had come a long way from the classrooms, from the teasing banter and heated arguments that had once defined their relationship.
Now, they were here, together-an unlikely pair, yet perfectly matched in every way.
"You know," Maya whispered, breaking the silence, "our families still think this was an arranged marriage."
Rudra chuckled softly, his thumb brushing against the back of her hand. "And they'll never know the truth."
"We didn't exactly plan to keep it a secret," Maya said with a smirk, remembering the absurdity of their situation. "It just... happened. The 'arranged' part, I mean."
He raised an eyebrow, his voice teasing. "You mean the part where they made sure you'd be stuck with me forever?"
"Hey, I didn't have much choice," she teased back, but her smile softened. "I was already falling for you by the time they made it official."
Rudra's heart swelled. He turned to face her, his eyes searching hers. "You know, I never wanted anything more than what we have. Even if we started as student and teacher, and even if our families thought they were arranging our lives..."
Maya's lips curved upward as she placed a soft kiss on his cheek. "It wasn't just them arranging it, Rudra. It was us, too. We built this."
He nodded, the weight of their journey not lost on him. "We did. And I wouldn't change a thing."
For a moment, they simply lay there, basking in the peaceful comfort that had settled between them. There were no more doubts, no more games or hesitations. They had carved out their own path, defying the expectations of the world around them and creating something real and beautiful.
Maya let out a soft sigh, content. "You know, it's funny. For everyone else, it's an arranged marriage, but for us... it's always been a love marriage."
Rudra smiled, a genuine, soft smile that reached his eyes. "Yes, it's our love marriage. And no one will ever take that away from us."
As the night deepened, the stars shining bright outside their window, Maya curled up against Rudra, his warmth enveloping her like a blanket. The rest of the world didn't matter.
They had written their own story, one that started with glances and arguments in a classroom but now, had turned into a love story no one could have predicted. It was messy, chaotic, and sometimes loud-but it was theirs.
And as they drifted into sleep, with their hearts full and their love sealed, Maya whispered just one more thing before the world faded away.
"I love you, Mr. Khadoos."
Rudra's smile grew even wider. "And I love you, Mrs. Khadoos."
And in that moment, the chaos of the world outside didn't matter. Because this-they-was everything.
