Chapter 65 Dimitri
DIMITRI
Sienna’s eyes fluttered shut. The stress that had lined her face melted away, somehow taking mine with it.
I felt undone, split apart, and stitched back together.
She had transformed me with her forgiveness.
It was the most precious gift I’d ever received, and I would do everything I could for the rest of my life to become a man truly worthy of her.
Sienna Ivanova. My wife. My everything.
I brushed a kiss to her forehead and forced myself out of bed. She immediately whimpered, blindly reaching her arm out to me like even one second apart was too much.
I knew how she felt. From the moment the Souleater put his hands on me, touch had been dangerous. An unwanted, agonizing threat. Yet now, my very cells protested any moment I wasn’t touching her.
“Shh, I’ll be right back, malyshka.” With a kiss to her cheek, I strode into the bathroom.
I quickly cleaned myself up and wet a hand towel with warm water.
The tension in my chest eased the moment I returned to her side.
I gently parted her legs to clean her, but she let out a little squeak of protest.
“I’ve got you,” I murmured. My lips skimmed up her neck and along her jaw to the shell of her ear. I gently tugged her earlobe with my teeth. “Be a good girl and let me clean you up.”
This time when I spread her out before me, she just watched me with dazed eyes.
I took my time cleaning up her slick thighs.
Every sweep of the towel was another opportunity to admire her.
Once she was cleaned up, I tossed the washcloth in the hamper before leaning down to press a soft kiss to her pretty little pussy.
“Thank you for letting me take care of you,” I murmured.
She blinked, eyes wider, brow furrowed. “Why are you thanking me?”
“Because taking care of you is an honor. Because I know how hard it is to be vulnerable.”
She bit her lip. “Are you sure you won’t get tired of taking care of me?”
“Never,” I breathed. Her lips were plush and soft when I kissed them. “You’ll believe me when I’m here, months and years and decades from now, still obsessed with you.”
She pressed a soft smile to my throat. “Okay.”
“Okay.”
