Chapter 12 - Westley
I took a deep breath as I waited for Gabriella to come out of the bedroom. I had decided to wear something nice. I put on slacks and a pressed white shirt, then a nice navy blue jacket. I combed my hair back and cleaned my face up.
I rubbed my hands together, nervous. We were in weird territory right now, and I didn’t know how this was going to go. I hoped things were well, but after how the other night went and the stuff afterward, we didn’t seem to know how to talk to each other.
I heard her door open, and she stepped out. She was wearing a short black dress with tights underneath. She threw on a green jacket and had on black heels. She looked stunning in a green hat with a puffy ball on the end.
I felt my mouth drop open slightly, and she blushed. “I didn’t know what the plan was for tonight.”
She had dressed right for being outside. “They have a Christmas light showing downtown that I thought we could go see and dinner at that French place.”
“That sounds nice.”
I looked her up and down once more. “You look nice.”
“Thanks,” she said with a smile. “You look dapper.”
We left and parked a block away from the restaurant. The entire area was lit up, and parents had kids running around. There was a hot chocolate stand at the corner with a line. I watched Gabriella’s eyes sparkle as she looked at everything. “This is beautiful.”
“I’ve been told they do this every year.” I looked around. “It’s nice. Townsie.”
She chuckled as she got out of the car. I followed her and swallowed nervously. “So, where should we start first? I guess everyone is having an open late shopping night. Everyone has discounts.”
“We could just start at the first one and go down.” She pointed to the first shop.
I nodded and followed her. We headed to the first store, which was a cute gift shop. I watched as she walked around looking at things. I felt like it was awkward as she showed me cute things, and I nodded, not sure what to say.
My wolf growled as my eyes dropped down to her ass.
Do you not want to know what she feels like? You could have had her the other night if you’d just let yourself, like you wanted.
“This is cute,” she said as she grabbed a small glass tree. “We should look for stuff to decorate the house.”
I shoved my hands into my jacket, feeling them shaking now. Fuck this was hard. I shook the thought down, trying to focus.
“I have decorations. They are just put away.”
“Oh,” she paused. “I didn’t know that. Why don’t you have them out?”
“Westley! Gabriella!” We both turned at our names, spotting Nora and Kaleb coming toward us. “I didn’t think I would see you guys out here.”
“We’re having date night,” I said, stepping closer to Gabriella. She leaned against me, resting her head against my shoulder like she’d done it a million times. “What are you guys doing?”
“Well, she wanted to get some new decorations for the house,” Kaleb said. “And I couldn’t tell her no.”
“Oh, same,” Gabriella said, waving the tree in her hand.
I felt her arm wrap around mine. I gave her a soft smile, hoping we looked like a happy couple.
“You need to hit up the shop across the street. They have some of the cutest outside decorations, and for a nice price.”
“Thanks, we will be sure to stop there.”
Nora waved her hand between us. “You two look so cute.”
I watched Gabriella blush, but she held firm onto me. We chatted with them for a few minutes before we moved to the next store. We moved together but kept a little distance between each other. Not enough to be noticeable, but enough that we weren’t walking on each other.
We moved down the row of shops, taking each place in. Gabriella ended up buying herself some slippers and some light-up Christmas trees.
I opened the door to the next shop, and we both paused as we stepped into a used bookshop. “I didn’t even know this was here.”
“I didn’t either.”
She started down a row of books, and I followed. I hovered closer, taking a glance outside the window. It was starting to snow.
I smacked into Gabriella and quickly caught her before she fell. “Shit, sorry.”
“Sorry, I was looking at a book.”
I looked at where she pointed, taking in the copy of Midnight Lane. A mystery book I had seen her reading before. “Didn’t you read that already?”
She nodded. “I did, but I couldn’t agree with the ending of it. The author made the killer a sweet man, and I just didn’t see it.”
I reached for the book. “Isn’t it kind of the point? You shouldn’t see who it is if the author did their job right.”
“I know, but that was no sign. I just don’t think it should have been him.”
“Who did you think it should have been?”
“The daughter. She was such a bitch.” She turned toward me, her face just an inch from mine. “You should read it.”
“I don’t like mystery books.”
“But you might if you find good ones.” She pushed the book toward me, pressing it against my chest.
“You just said you didn’t like this book.”
“And maybe I need someone else’s opinion on it.”
I smiled at her, feeling my heart skip a beat at how easy this was. It was like we never had an issue before.
“Fine, if I’m going to read something you want, you should read something I want.”
“That seems fair.”
I grabbed her hand and turned her toward the history area. I scanned the shelves for any titles that I had seen or read. I smirked and grabbed a book. “Here.”
She read the title and frowned. “Murder in the south west?”
I nodded.
She frowned. “I recall you saying this was soul-sucking to read.”
“Maybe I just need someone else’s opinion.”
She crossed her arms. “You didn’t even finish this.”
“That doesn’t matter.”
She rolled her eyes, but I watched a small smile pull at her lips. “You’re still as childish as ever, I see.”
We paid for the books and headed to the next shop. We ended up buying hot chocolate and taking in the lights. Gabriella walked close to me, almost like we were in our own bubble as we moved.
We paused in front of the big Christmas tree. I watched the way the lights shone on her face, and I could see that something was bothering her—like a sorrow behind her eyes.
I bumped her shoulder. “So, why don’t you tell me why you wanted to go out like this tonight?”
“What do you mean?” she asked as she tilted her head.
“I felt like there was a reason you wanted to go out. I could tell you were trying to pull us into every store, which is fine, but… There was a reason. Like you were trying to distract yourself from something.”
She frowned and chewed on her lower lip. She stared at her cup for a long moment. “Was it that noticeable?”
“No, but I notice things. I spent a lot of time with you before, so I can tell when you’re looking for something to do.”
She looked back at the tree, and I could see her smile slip. I moved closer, wrapping an arm around her.
“Is someone bothering you? Are the guys still bugging you?”
She shook her head. “No, it’s nothing like that.”
“Then what?”
She looked at me, forcing a smile. “Can you just trust me? I just have some things to figure out, and I don’t exactly want to think about them tonight. I just want…” she sighed. “I just want to have a nice time and not think.”
I didn’t like that answer, but I understood. If she needed a distraction, I could provide one. I looked back at the tree. “Okay, what do you want then?”
She gave me a soft smile, pulling her gaze back to the tree. “Nothing. This is just fine.”
I looked past the tree toward Santa’s workshop station across from us. There was a sign that read closed. I knew a foolproof distraction. “If you need a distraction, I will happily be that.”
I pulled her hand up, kissing the palm and then running my tongue over her skin. I watched her eyes sparkle, and her throat bobbed. She chewed on her lower lip. “We’re in public.”
“Not for long.” I tugged at her hand and pulled her around the tree toward the small building. It was a fake building with a small throne in front of it. I pushed on the door, and it popped open with ease. Inside was a small area with a couch and a couple of chairs.
I shoved the door shut, flipped the lock, and pulled her toward me. She looked flustered as she looked around the space. “You sure no one is going to find us in here?”
“The sign said closed.”
I reached my hands up, cupping her face, and kissed her roughly. Her tongue slid over mine in a perfect dance.
She moaned softly as I grabbed her legs and pulled her up. I turned us, placing her onto the couch. I stepped between her legs and tugged her dress up. She was wearing a black thong underneath, and I groaned at the sight of it. “Fuck, you and these thongs, Gabriella.”
She smirked. “They don’t leave lines.”
I kissed her neck, grabbing the thong and slowly sliding it free. I found her soaking wet, and she moaned my name softly as I slid my finger right into her.
“Fuck Ella. You are so fucking hot right now.”
I leaned back, seeing that haze fall over her. She reached her hands up, hooking them around my neck. “I like that you have a nickname for me.”
I had just used it to see how she would react, but the more I did, the more I loved it. I leaned closer. “Ella.”
I watched a blush roll over her face, and I spread her legs wider. I slid a second finger into her, feeling how tight she was. I felt her nails bite into my shoulder as she seemed to move her hips in rhythm with my fingers. Each thrust in, she bucked her hips with me.
I kissed her softly, biting on her lower lip. She moaned softly, and I leaned back. I looked at her, the flushed face and the way she sat open for me. She stared at me with lust in her eyes, the want I had imagined so many times.
“Do you want to come on my mouth or my fingers?” I asked, not planning on getting my dick wet.
“Your dick,” she said without hesitation.
I paused for a split second. “Do you want to go home for that? I don’t have anything on me, Gabriella.”
She frowned. “Hazel is at home, and I’d rather not have her hear anything. I’m also on birth control.”
I was tempted to joke that others could probably hear us out here, but between the music and the number of people here, you probably couldn’t. But not only that, I wanted her. I wanted to fuck her.
I reached for her straps and slid them both down. I tugged her dress down, revealing a lacey black bra that matched her thong. Her chest rose and fell, and I looked at her bra. I reached out, rubbing my thumb over the material. “I like this. But not enough to keep it on.”
I reached behind her and unsnapped her bra. It fell free, and I looked at her breast. Her nipples were already hard underneath, like they had been waiting for me.
I flicked them, watching her jump slightly at the contact. Her mouth fell open as she looked shocked at herself.
I chuckled as I reached for my pants and unbuttoned them slowly. Her eyes flicked down, watching each movement. I unzipped my pants, sliding them down slightly. I pulled my boxers with my pants, and my cock sprang up.
Her eyes widened. “Jesus… I mean… god that’s not what I meant to say.”
I couldn’t help but chuckle as I leaned forward, caging her. “Have you not seen a dick before?”
“No, I have but… you’re… you’re…” She swallowed.
I pulled my hand down, stroking it over myself. I watched her eyes track my moment, and I rubbed my thumb over my tip. Her mouth hung open slightly, her eyes glued to my cock.
I tightened my hold, stroking myself a little rougher.
“Do you have any idea how many times I’ve imagined your hand replacing mine?
” I leaned closer, her eyes snapping up to mine.
“How many times have I imagined sinking into you? We would sit in the library, and I would want nothing more than to slip my hand up your skirt. To shove you into the couch and take you.”
That was putting it mildly. I wanted to fuck her and let people see. I wanted to hear her moan my name and listen to it bounce through the entire library.
Her mouth bobbed. “You have a wild imagination for someone who doesn’t read.”
I smirked. “I blame you.”
I moved her closer, rubbing my cock over her entrance. Gabriella’s eyes filled with pleasure, and I slowly slid into her. I felt how tight she was and grunted softly.
Her hands moved from my neck down my back, her nails digging in. “Fuck,” she whispered, her head rolling back, exposing her neck. I ran my tongue over her neck, biting softly on the side.
I grabbed her hips, thrusting deeper into her, sinking as far as her body would allow. She moaned loudly.
I kept moving, feeling myself growing close to the edge. She clung tightly to me, sitting up a little. I felt her breast bounce, her breath was hot against my neck as she panted my name, whimpering, she was close. I didn’t stop.
I pulled her legs further apart, rolling my thumb over her clit as I let go. She gasped loudly, our voices mixing together as we both lost control. I felt her clamp down as she orgasmed, her head falling back as her body shook.
I sank deep into her, finding my own release. We both fumbled back into the couch, and she chuckled. “I can’t believe we just did that.”
I couldn’t either, and I couldn’t believe how amazing it felt.
