Epilogue

Three Years Later

Marcee squeals loud enough to break glass when she walks into the room.

I’m standing in front of a full-length mirror, the final touches on my hair and makeup done, and less than an hour away from walking down the aisle to meet my best friend and soulmate.

I turn in a circle for her so she can see the whole thing.

Marcee helped me pick the dress, and it’s stunning.

I fell in love with it before even putting it on.

It’s a halter style silk Alfred Angelo gown, with a deep cowl neck that drapes elegantly between my breasts.

The cut is a simple tapered waist that then flows out slightly to the ground, no frills, no train, just simple and elegant.

“Lexie, you are the most beautiful bride I have ever seen!” Tears stream down her face, ruining her mascara.

“She’s right.” My father’s voice calls from the door.

Things are still awkward between us, but we’re working on it day by day.

I hadn’t known it, but my dad came to the hospital after Jax attacked me.

He’s still on my emergency contact list and raced over when he heard I was admitted.

Knowing he might not be welcome, he stayed in the waiting room, getting updates from the doctors privately.

Marcee had run into him on her way in, and he asked her to wait to tell me.

Turns out, he slept in the waiting room, not leaving until after I was discharged.

I cried ugly tears when she told me, calling him that night, and for once, he answered.

We talked for a while, and I told him about my relationship with Finn.

He shared with me that he came by my room a few times, and each time he passed by, Finn was there, so it was obvious he was crazy about me.

The age difference is still hard for him to be comfortable with, but like Marcee, he’s coming around to things. I’m not having him walk me down the aisle, we just aren’t there yet, but he still asked to attend my special day, and the little girl in me loves that he is here.

“Thank you, Dad! You’re looking pretty handsome yourself.

Better watch out or the single ladies will be swarming you.

” My parents finally got divorced after fifteen plus years of living apart.

Mom still wants nothing to do with me, but for my dad it has been liberating, and he seems interested in getting to know me.

It’s like once he was free, a switch was flipped, and he realized how much of my life he missed and is now trying to make up for it.

Marcee is dabbing at her makeup. “Well, fudge, I'm going to have to see if the makeup artist can fix this. Do you want me to get you anything when I come back?”

“Oooh, chocolate please! Dark if you can find it.” I rub my stomach absentmindedly, my mouth already watering. Marcee just rolls her eyes at me. “What? I’ve been sitting in hair and makeup all day—I’m hungry.”

“Uh-huh, sure that's why.” She doesn’t say anything else, just heads in search of Claire, my makeup lady.

“I’m going to go find my seat, I guess.” My dad shifts from foot to foot, not sure what to do with himself.

To my surprise, he comes in and hugs me.

“I’m really happy for you, Alexis, you chose well.

” With that uncharacteristic moment of paternal warmth, he dashes out the door.

I look at the clock and smile. Yeah, it’s go time.

Me:

Hey Daddy, I miss you! Come see me?

Three dots appear instantly

Daddy:

OMW!

A small giggle bursts from my lips. Marcee insisted that we sleep apart on the night before our wedding.

Finn hadn’t been a fan of the plan, but I thought one last night, just me and Marcee would be nice.

But pathetic as it sounds, I miss him, and I don’t buy into the ‘it’s bad luck to see the bride before the wedding’ nonsense.

A few seconds later, he bursts through the doors, slightly out of breath.

His eyes go wide when he sees me, his hand coming up to hold his heart.

“Lex, you’re stunning.” His eyes are damp, and his voice is scratchy.

“Val Kilmer has nothing on you!” Licking my lips, I look him up and down.

“Is that so?” He raises one eyebrow at me as he closes the distance between us.

“Uh-huh.” I lean in close, pressing my breasts to him, loving the growl that rumbles deep in his throat. Need courses through me as I skate my hand down the front of his body, rubbing over his rock-hard cock.

“Lex, you’re playing with fire, baby. Keep looking at me like that, and touching me that way, and I’ll bend you over and fuck you until you’re hoarse from screaming my name.

” Welp, my panties are officially soaked, and my core is throbbing with need.

There is no way I'll be able to focus on the ceremony until I feel him inside me.

Stepping back slowly, his gaze follows me with a predatory stare that promises punishment when caught.

Turning to look over my shoulder, my hands braced on the vanity in my dressing room, “Prove it.” He’s on me quicker than lightning. Flipping my dress up, exposing my ass before he grabs the lace thong I'm wearing. A tearing noise echoes through the room as he literally rips it off me.

“Yes, Daddy, please, I need to feel you.” Moaning, I press my hips back, the sound of his zipper setting me on fire. Seconds later, he grasps my hips and plunges into me with one powerful thrust.

“Fuck, yes, that feels so good.” I meet him thrust for thrust, relishing in the feel of him, still obsessed with the way he fills me so completely.

“That’s right, baby, moan my name. I'm going to fill you with my cum so there's no doubt who you belong to. Everyone will smell me on you as you walk down the aisle. You are mine,” he growls.

Finn’s thrusts are wild and rough as he pounds into me with brutal force, knowing I like it rough.

In no time, my release is barreling through me.

My pussy clamps down, spasming around his cock.

“Just like that, baby, milk my cock.” His words morph into a loud groan as his release fills me.

We’re both panting and gasping for air when the door opens.

“Oh, for fucks sake, really, you two?” The door slams back shut behind Marcee.

Finn and I both burst into laughter. Just like so many times before, Finn drops to the ground and cleans me with his tongue.

It never gets old, and almost always guarantees another orgasm for me.

We keep things in check this time and soon call Marcee back in.

“Well, at least we know he can’t get you pregnant again, Lexie.

” My hand instantly goes to my still flat stomach where our baby grows.

I’m still shocked, getting pregnant definitely was not on my bingo card this year, but the idea of Finn’s baby growing inside of me makes me immeasurably happy.

Marcee is the only one who knows so far, but I can’t wait to share the news with everyone as soon as we get back from our honeymoon.

We’re building our own family, one that will be filled with love. This child will never have to wonder if they are loved. They will never question their place in this world or our family.

I wish I could go back and tell teenage me that things will get better. That I deserve love, and someday, I would meet the man of my dreams that will heal all the jagged parts of me and give me a new life.
