Chapter 24
Chapter Twenty-Four

“We can go to Universal tonight!” Iris said as she and her friends burst into my living room.
I’d just opened the front door for them—Lila and I were both dressed now, of course—and was surprised to see the Littles invading my space.
But there they were, flooding in with excitement.
There was Iris, Lana, Cami, Annika, and Samantha. Their Daddies were all Guard members, and the women were Little regulars at Athena’s.
Trish was with them.
“Sorry to just barge in like this,” Trish said. “But we got excited when we all realized we can do Universal tonight after all.”
“Yeah. Our Daddies finished the Guard stuff and said it would be the perfect night to go!” Iris said. “That is, if you both want to.”
Honestly, I’d been hoping for some more quality time with Lila. Too bad the Littles knew where I lived. I now regretted hosting some of the ageplay community events I had.
Not really. They were always welcome. But I sure would love that time with Lila.
Remembering what Lila had said earlier about how she’d rather spend the day with me, I looked at her and said, “What do you think, honey?”
Damn, it felt good to call her that. Hopefully I wasn’t pushing. But, you know, we did just have sex, so…
Either she didn’t want to be rude, or she was actually excited, because she said, “I’d love to go!”
The Littles cheered.
“Oh, by the way, I should probably introduce you to your new friends,” Trish said with a giggle.
She went on to introduce the other five women.
“Nice meeting you all,” Lila told them.
“We’re so glad you’re here! Hey,” Lana said, “maybe you’ll like it enough to stay on the West Coast.”
“Easily the best coast,” Samantha added with a grin.
My eyes darted to Lila, trying to gauge how she felt about staying. Not that I could tell much. But she didn’t outright cringe, and I took that to be a good sign.
I had a little bit of time left with her before her scheduled return flight. I planned on making the most of it. Perhaps there was time to convince her to stay yet.
Or maybe I’d move to New York. If that’s what she wanted.
We would get to all that later, assuming she didn’t consider what we’d done this afternoon a one-off, casual encounter.
Lila didn’t strike me as that type.
“Hey, I do love it out here,” she said.
That was a good, non-committal answer. What did I expect, though? Her to just say, “Yes, I want to uproot my entire life for a guy I met a couple of days ago.”
I did get the sense, though, that there was something she wanted to say. Whatever she’d been wanting to talk to me about earlier.
Whenever she decided was the right time, I’d listen.
But if she’d been wanting to tell me this wasn’t going to work, odds were she’d changed her mind.
Because we seemed to be doing just fine together.
And she sure already felt like my babygirl.
