Epilogue

"Oh my Eri, you look stunning." Suzy's eyes beamed at Eri with the words as a bright smile took over her face.

Eri stared at herself once more in the glass door of the place they were in which showed her reflection.

And she couldn't help but agree with Suzy.

She was right, she did look great.

Eri had on a dark blue spaghetti handle ankle length gown that popped out her curves, showing a moderate amount of her cleavage.

Her hair, which had been cut to shoulder and dyed brown, was left to sway on her shoulders, giving her already pretty look more beauty.

Especially with how the makeup artist had done wonders to her face.

Gosh, she was the definition of beauty.

"And you don't look too bad either." She threw a glance at Suzy who was dressed in a gray knee length gown that flared from the waist downwards.

Even before Eri finished, Suzy could already guess what would follow those words.

"Although you'd have looked prettier if you were coming with a man behind you, like seriously you're twenty-four, when would you get a boyfriend."

It was a trait of Eri's she'd come to get used to within these past three years, and so she replied with her usual eye roll. “As I say this, when the right man comes—”

“—he comes.” Rose completed it for her, walking into the place with Darien strutting behind.

“Rose.” Eri gave her a hug when she'd reached her, the bump making it a little difficult. “My, you look beautiful. How's the pregnancy treating you?”

A small shrug from her. "It's a lot of getting used to but well, it's only for a while and five months to go."

Oh yep, our Rose was expecting a child.

That beautiful news occured to us four months ago, just two months to their wedding after he'd proposed five months before that.

Either way, now, they were both a happy married couple and soon-to-be parents.

Eri turned to Darien. "How's it going for you?"

He smiled. "Great, it's nice to know I'll be a father in a few months from now."

It was also a nice thought for her.

They chatted some more before Leila walked in with Violin and Marc, a huge grin on the woman's face.

“Hi Leila.” Eri greeted, allowing herself to be thrown into a hug.

“Oh dear, how're you?”

“I'm good.” She replied once Laila left her, then turned to Marc, who offered a curt nod that she returned with one of hers.

“Hey guys.” Suzy waved at the three.

“Hi.” Rose earned one hug from Leila also.

“Dear, you still look so beautiful even when pregnant. Gosh, I envy you.”

Rose chuckled, obviously pleased with the compliment when Darien took her hand in his.

“Oh goodness, can you stop this drama and let's go in already.” Violin shook her head like all this was already annoying her.

Even after three years, she still hadn't changed, especially with her changing guys like her underwear.

She and Eri might never like each other, but one thing was certain, there was that time three years ago in the hospital that they actually shared one thing in common.

“Alright, whatever.” Leila rolled her eyes. “Let's go in then?”

Darien's gaze scanned the huge place they were in, and he asked. “Where's Don?”

"He's in already, I don't think he'd want to waste time out here when he's got to make his speech on how he made the company a trillion dollar company."

So… yep, Don hadn't died in that gunshot from June three years back.

When the ambulance arrived, they'd rushed him to the hospital where he'd undergone surgery.

It took a long time before the surgery was a success and even longer till he woke up.

Like, he literally stayed unconscious for a week.

That whole week, she thought she was going to die.

Everyone thought they were going to die (surprisingly even Violin), and so, when he finally opened his eyes, it was the best news for them all.

And now, although it had left a scar on his stomach, Eri was still glad to have him with her.

They all walked into the place where Don was saying his speech, taking a seat on the available empty ones

And as you'd expect, it was decorated beautifully and filled with millionaires and billionaires

Finally, after so long, the company had succeeded in moving from a multi billion dollar company to a trillion dollar own.

Wow.

"... I'd like to thank Mr Sal who brought up the idea to engage in this mission and also who advised me to invest a lot in Australia."

Don turned to Mr Sal whose grin was the widest ever as he rose from his seat to where Don stood in front of the crowd.

"As a show of my gratitude, I'm transferring you to be the head manager of one of our biggest branches which is in Australia."

Mr Sal gasped like he hadn't expected such a reward. "Thank you so much sir."

Everyone cheered for him.

"Are these seats taken?" Rhys asked them, referring to the two seats beside Eri.

"Not at all." She offered a smile, noticing Lucy beside him, carrying their two year old grandson, Neil.

With a nod, he sat there and his wife took the one beside him with Neil on her laps.

A small boy that was cherished and loved by everyone, despite his deceased mom's life here on earth.

When June had gone to jail, Rhys had paid a huge sum of money so she would be taken care of in jail till she gave birth.

He ensured she had someone with her 24/7 so she wouldn't try to hurt the baby.

On the day she was to give birth, Rhys and Lucy were there. Eri had followed them just to see the child.

When she'd given birth and the nurse brought a cute boy to them, Lucy had carried the child in her hands and burst into tears, saying she was finally a grandma.

After that, they no longer paid for June's safety or whatever and a few months later, she committed suicide claiming to not be able live without Don.

Lucy had sponsored Jenny's trip to whatever country she wanted and she chose Netherland where she'd met a man she loved and gotten married.

Everyone was happy.

"Don, your speech was beautiful." Eri leaned in to give him a kiss.

"Thanks,” he had a relieved smile on, “ gosh, I'm so happy the company became a trillion dollar company."

"So now you can rest and have time for your wife." She held his hand, intertwining their fingers.

"I'm proud of you bro." Darien, whose hand hadn't left Rose's waist for a while, patted Don's back with his other one.

“Same son.” Marc said coolly, earning a nod from Don.

Their relationship still wasn't the picture perfect father-son relationship one would assume it to be, but at least they were closer.

Especially after the accident that almost claimed Don's life.

Lucy and Rhys held each other's hands also, Neil not leaving Lucy's second hand.

Her love for her grandson was very much obvious.

"I just have to work eighteen more years till I hand over the company to my grandson." Rhys said proudly, though nothing had brought up that conversation.

It seemed he was just glad the Silvers wouldn't be going to another hand.

Violin had left with a guy she met at the event.

"Uh, all of you are being so lovey dovey, I feel like an odd one." Suzy feigned a cringe.

"It's not our fault you're single." Rose winked at her, who just rolled her eyes.

"I'll just head to the cloak room." Then she left.

Suzy went out of sight.

Truth be told, she didn't care that she hadn't met a man yet. She knew when God wanted to give her a man, he'd give her the right man.

The main thing on her mind at the moment was reaching the Kingdom of God.

And so she couldn't start putting relationship stuff in her head.

She had to—

A figure bumped into her, the force pushing her backwards so much, she was certain she'd land on the floor.

Well, that was until a hand wrapped around her back, pulling her to the figure, her hands flying to its hard chest.

Just the thought of almost falling made her heart race, and when she looked up at the figure, she was surprised to see a guy she recognized.

"Winter?" Wow, what a coincidence.

When she realized her hands were still on his chest with his around her back, she quickly pulled apart, trying her best to ignore how his touch was electrifying her insides.

His lips pulled to a smile. "Suzy?"

"What're you doing here?" Winter was a guy she knew from church. They weren't that close, but close enough to know each other.

"My dad was invited by Mr Jones or something." He shrugged like Don wasn't important in this conversation.

"What're you doing here?" His smile was so sincere, it made her heart flutter.

What was going on?

"Mr Jones is my brother-in-law."

"Wow, that's nice to know."

“So weird to think we'd meet this way.” She chuckled, and he did the same. “What a coincidence.”

“Or maybe it's fate telling us to go have tea together after the party.” He winked, and gosh did he look so hot like that.

She shrugged, trying to not make it obvious his request sent her stomach on a roller coaster. "Sure thing."

God, was this the man you'd been keeping for her? If yes, thank you so much.

They both walked away together, conversing.
