"You're cheating!"

I gasped, getting up on my knees as I pointed to Everest who held an innocent look on his face. Ha! His handsome face wouldn't distract me anymore. "No, I'm not." He responded with a playful scoff, taking the dice from me to roll it.

It had been three days already and I was getting more comfortable in his apartment, I loved Everest's company. Yesterday, we went to get some board games for the house and I couldn't wait to play the Ludo, so I whined until he agreed.

But he cheated!

How was he rolling so conveniently to target each of my players successfully, dropping me back home where I started?

Ugh! This was annoying! He had three of his pieces already in, the last one not too far behind.

I'd have picked another game if I knew he was this good.

The smirk on his lips just told me how much he was enjoying this.

"Yes, you are," I grumbled, folding my arms with knitted eyebrows. Evie glanced at me, a chuckle leaving his lips. "Maybe I'm just that good." His cockiness made me roll my eyes. Sticking my tongue at him, I narrowed my gaze. "Just play already."

Everest bellowed a burst of laughter. "And here I thought my baby was a good sport.

" He teased, poking my sides, which I immediately jumped to, glaring at him.

"C'mon, smile at me...before I finish you off.

" Everest said, cocking his head to the board on his bed, his grin taunting me.

Finish me off? He knew the next play would mean the game was over.

"Play." I deadpanned with a frown.

I just knew he was going to cheat again — however he did it with me looking — he'd roll the dice and get the exact number to eat me!

Smirking, Evie rolled the dice in the small black container, dropping it on the board while still covering it.

He peered his dazing brown eyes at me. I stared back, holding in a pout.

My heart was thudding admittedly — not just because I was about to lose.

"Are you ready?" He hummed, teasing me with those eyes. Narrowing mine, I shrugged. Gosh, he was even better than Darrick at these board games. "Give me a kiss and I'll let you roll my dice." Evie offered out of the blue.

Blushing, I playfully pushed his shoulders.

"You're so sure you'll win this, aren't you?

" He shrugged, pouting his lips in for a kiss.

How could I decline? I leaned into him, moving to his ear before our lips touched.

"In your dreams, Evie." Before pulling away with a smirk on my face. He smiled, shaking his head.

"Okay then." Unveiling the cup, the dice were an eight, four on each die. Nibbling on my lip, I watched as he counted his piece, "Eight, nine...ten." His pawn landed on the one I'd brought out, so close to home. My jaw dropped in disbelief. Everest grinned, gazing at me. "Game over, my love."

How was that even possible? I barely got any of my pawns to its home.

Crossing my arms against my chest, I shrugged.

"Whatever, cheater." Okay, maybe I thought he'd be bad at this because he was older than me and was too busy doing other things besides playing board games.

Everest snickered, taking the board to drop it on the rug in front of his bed.

"Is my baby mad?" He teased, tilting his head.

Pouting, I shook mine. "No, I'm not."

"Then say I won fair and square." Oh, now he was just pushing it.

A scoff left my lips before I knew it. Fair and square?

Yeah right. I heard him hum expectantly, leaning closer into my space.

He scented so well, like oud perfume. "Amelia.

.."He trailed off, his tone almost as though he was warning me.

Heat trickled down to my belly, it was getting harder not to be so close to him all the time, all I wanted to do was let him hold me, kiss me.

..goodness, I didn't know I could be so lewd.

A shudder went down my back when his hands pushed me back against the bed.

Wait, why was I lying flat on his bed? No, the better question was, why was he caging my way of escape with his body?

Biting my lip, I tried to keep my mind clean but it was proving difficult.

"Look at me, darling," Evie instructed, his voice teasing and stern at the same time.

Hesitantly, I gazed his way, his eyes already on mine.

"I'm waiting..." He uttered, his hands going to play with the hem of my top, he was waiting for what?

Were we talking about anything just now?

My throat felt parched, like I'd run a mile, why was he suddenly acting this way?

My mind went back to remind me of what he had said the other day, I wasn't the only one who felt the tension whenever we were alone. Gosh, my mind was frantic right now.

"O-okay, fine." I tried to say but stuttered those words out.

He smirked, "Do you want to play another game?

" I wasn't sure if his question had a double meaning, but of course, my risque mind interpreted it into something astray, my back arching at the feeling of his cold hand on my bare waist. I couldn't speak without sounding shaky so I just held my tongue, goosebumps rising on my skin as his hands went into my shirt.

"Hm?" Evie hummed near my ear.

My entire body felt like it was dipped in hot water, a shaky breath left my lips.

"E-Evie..." I didn't know what to say, so I just called his name.

He pushed his head up to look at me, his gaze wasn't as before, he looked as though he was in a daze.

Was this still about playing a board game?

Seeing him this way made my body react in a way that I couldn't control.

My hands go up to caress his dark blonde strands.

"Can I?"

I wasn't sure what he was asking for, but I nodded anyways, letting him take the lead.

My eyes fluttered shut when I felt his palm move up slowly until it reached my bra top, I wasn't scared, just nervous.

This was the first time I'd allowed a guy to do this, perhaps that was why my heart was thudding so lowly I feared he'll feel the vibration.

My ears were hot, my mind running around as his hand went into my bra top. I gasped, quickly nibbling on my lip so I wouldn't embarrass myself further. "Relax..." He whispered. Nodding my head, I tried to do as told but it was almost impossible, my toes curled at the feeling.

Not wanting to be so all over the place, I pulled his head down for a kiss which he obediently obliged.

I leaned into the kiss, deepening it when I felt his hand begin to fondle them.

The breath left my body as his thumb caressed the centre, heat burning my cheeks.

"E-Evie, I..." I didn't know what to say, I just felt the need to speak, my voice quivering.

Pecking my lips, Evie removed his hands, my body nearly whining at this. His hands went to rest on the bed, his head on my collarbone. "I'm sorry, baby. Did I go too far?" Did he? It felt like my head was about to burst, I was flustered, to say the least.

"No, no, it's not that. I...I've never done that...before." I managed to say, mumbling the end under my breath. I watched as he sat up, his hand going to run through his hair. "I...uh, I need to take a shower," Everest said after running his hands over his hair. A shower?

"W-why?" I was confused, he'd taken a shower before we started playing the game. Evie narrowed his eyes at me, his lips tilting up in a smile. "Why? Because I need to get you out of my head, that's why." He explained, moving to stand up, that was when I saw it, there was a bulge in his sweatpants.

I quickly darted my eyes away, there was no way he was aroused right now.

I thought I was the only one that felt it, I mean.

.. never mind. Playing with his duvet, I couldn't look him in the eye without my face getting all hot.

When I heard his bathroom door close, I dropped my head to the bed.

"Oh my goodness," I muttered, covering my face.

Evie was aroused because of me?

Okay, that was a weird question, but still! My heart didn't stop beating so hard, the goosebumps were still evident on my skin. Peeking out of the space in my hand, I stared up at his room ceiling. Maybe I needed a shower as well.

I shook my head rapidly, that wasn't what I expected when I asked if he wanted to play Ludo.

Perhaps I'd ask if we could have a game night every Saturday.

For the games! Blushing, I placed it with the hem of my top.

My body felt as though it was buzzing in excitement.

Rolling to my tummy, I dug my face into one of his pillows, his scent feeling my nostrils.

Gee, being with this mad was testing my entire being.

A loud ring drew me from my thoughts, the vibration coming from the bed stand.

It was Everest's phone. Looking towards the bathroom, the shower was still running, I couldn't possibly go hand his phone to him right now anyways, so, I picked it up.

Come to think of it, I never really imagined anyone to call him so early on a weekday, he did say he was going to the mechanic shop today.

The smile on my lips faltered as I read the caller ID.

Florescent.

Were they still talking? Somehow, I thought she'd gone back to wherever she came from. Why was she calling him? If she wanted her car fixed again, she should have gone straight to my brother's shop! A frown stretched on my lips as I watched it ring. How long was she going to call for?!

Looking around, my curiosity grew. I wanted to know what they were contacting each other for. With a sigh, I swiped accept, holding my breath.

"Finally, Simon. I thought you were gonna keep ignoring me. Look, could we meet up? I need to talk to you." It was indeed Florescent's voice, her tone seemed frustrated.

Why was I picking up his call? This wasn't right, if he walked out now, I'd look as if I didn't trust him. Chewing on my lip, I kept my mouth shut, contemplating whether to end the call or listen more. My heart thudded because I knew this was wrong, yet, I couldn't help but wait.

Florescent sighed over the line. "Everest, come on. Hello? Can you even hear me?"

Why did she want them to meet? What could they possibly be talking about? My head was swarmed with different thoughts, and these thoughts were silenced immediately I heard the bathroom door open, Evie walking out dripping wet, a towel around his neck and waist.

I froze, staring at him wide-eyed, still holding his phone.

"Baby? What's up?" I knew what he was asking about, his eyes going to his phone in my hand then my face. Crud.

"Everest? Finally, you answer me!" Florescent uttered, sounding relieved, a giggle coming from the line. That was when I realized I hadn't hung up, and the call was on speaker.

Double crud.
