48~Fifty shades #3
"She's honestly a sweet woman."
"I knew you would like her."
Hanan smiled.
"She's kind, caring... And she's already excited to have you around."
Amira smiled shyly.
"In sha Allah."
"Very soon."
The rest of the day flew by.
The three women spent the afternoon talking, laughing, gossiping, and catching up on everything they had missed.
They enjoyed lunch together, then later shared dinner before taking turns showering and changing into comfortable nightwear.
Movie night was officially on.
"Let's watch Fifty Shades."
Amira announced as she tossed popcorn into her mouth.
"No, please."
Hanan shook her head immediately.
"Why?"
Amira frowned.
"We're all adults here."
Still... Neither Hanan nor Amina looked interested.
Hanan had never watched the movie, but she has heard enough reviews to know it wasn't her kind of film.
It simply wasn't something she wanted to spend her night watching.
"You too, Amina?"
Amira stared at her in disbelief.
"I've watched it."
Amina shrugged.
"And honestly... I don't understand the hype."
"What?!" Amira placed a hand dramatically on her chest.
"You two are so boring."
"I miss Lucy."
Then she turned to Hanan.
"Speaking of Lucy... Are you inviting her to the wedding?"
Hanan thought for a moment.
"I honestly don't know."
"The wedding is happening on short notice."
"And I want it to be very intimate."
"Hmm..."
Amira nodded.
"Fair enough."
She grabbed the remote.
"Alright then."
"What are we watching?"
"Comedy." Hanan answered.
"I vote horror." Amina said.
Amira grinned.
"Majority wins... Horror it is."
She began scrolling through the options.
"We've got Chucky..."
"Annabelle... And The Nun."
"Which one?"
"The Nun." Amina answered immediately.
Hanan remained unusually quiet, staring blankly at the television.
She hated horror movies.
They always left her too frightened to sleep.
Without saying another word, she quietly stood up from the mat they spread on the floor.
"I'm going to the bathroom."
Amira looked up. "Bathroom? Or are you escaping The Nun?"
Hanan laughed. "I actually need to pee and I'm exhausted."
"I think I'll just sleep."
Amina pouted. "So you're ditching our movie night?"
"Sorry. I'm genuinely sleepy."
Amira folded her arms, pretending to study Hanan seriously.
"Hmm... A proper sleep schedule is good for your skin."
"And since our bride needs to glow..."
She nodded dramatically.
"I'll accept your excuse."
Hanan couldn't help laughing. "You're impossible."
She disappeared into the bathroom.
A few minutes later, she returned, climbed into bed, and pulled the blanket over herself.
Just as she was getting comfortable.
Her phone vibrated inside her handbag.
"Amira..." She yawned. "Please pass me my phone."
"Okay." Amira reached into the bag.
The moment she picked up the phone, the screen lit up with a series of incoming messages.
Her eyes widened.
Her mouth slowly fell open in shock.
"Oh my God!" Amira gasped, her eyes widening as she stared at the screen.
"What in the name of Fifty Shades is going on here?"
She immediately began reading aloud.
Habibti, I missed you all day at work... and somehow I miss you even more now. I wish I could see you. Can I come over?
She scrolled.
Actually... I already know your answer. Too late, I'm already on my way. I need to see my wife.
"Ohhhh!" Amira squealed.
"There are more!"
Before Hanan could grab the phone, Amira skipped to the next message.
I've already booked our honeymoon resort in Paris. Every time I think about finally calling you my wife, I can't stop smiling. Just a few more weeks, Habibti... I can't wait to have you all to myself, I can't wait for our wedding night you can't imagine the wild things I plan to do to you.
I will fucking tease till you tell me to stop, but I won't and there won't be a room for escape. Just a few weeks to go, I can't wait.
Hanan's face instantly turned pale.
"Amira!"
She lunged forward, both hands covering her mouth.
"Stop reading!"
"Oh? Our innocent bride is blushing!" Amira laughed, running away with the phone.
"Give me my phone!"
Hanan chased after her.
"No!"
Amira ran around the room, laughing as Hanan followed, turning the room into a game of cat and mouse.
"Amina!" Hanan cried out.
"Please tell her to give me my phone!"
Amina, however, was staring blankly.
She slowly blinked.
"I never knew Ya Najib could be this shameless."
Amira burst into laughter. "Shameless?"
She shook her head.
"Oh, that's not even the best part."
She scrolled farther.
"I still remember how you moaned my name telling me to stop in Abuja, it was music to my ears. I want to have you all to myself, making love to you... I doubt I'll let you sleep peacefully.
A loud gasp escaped Amina. "Oh My God."
Hanan covered her face. "Amira, wallahi I'm serious!"
"Give me my phone!"
Still laughing, Amira backed away.
"You two act so innocent."
"I finally know who the real Najib is."
Before she could continue, Hanan pounced.
She snatched the phone from her hand before pinning Amira onto the mattress.
"You enjoyed embarrassing me, huh?"
She began tickling and pinching her.
"Ahhh!"
Amira burst into an uncontrollable laughter.
"Stop!"
"Why should I?"
Hanan laughed.
"Did you stop when I begged you?"
"Amina!" Amira called between laughs.
"Help me!"
Amina only laughed harder.
"No... You started it."
Just then...
"Amira?!"
Mama's voice echoed from outside the room.
The three girls froze.
Without exchanging a word, they scrambled onto the bed, pulled the blanket over themselves, and switched off the light, pretending to be asleep.
The bedroom door slowly opened.
Uma stood there with both hands on her waist.
"Toh..."
She glanced around suspiciously before looking at the television.
"So all of you suddenly fell asleep with the TV still on?"
She switched it off with a sigh.
"Big girls behaving like little children."
"Screaming at this hour?"
"It's already past eleven."
"Do you want to wake the whole neighborhood?"
She shook her head with an amused smile.
"Allah ya shirya."
"Sai da safe."
The door clicked shut behind her.
Silence...
Then, almost instantly...
The three girls exploded into an uncontrollable laughter.
"Ma'am, do you remember me?" Amina asked with a smile.
The spa manager looked at her for a moment before her face lit up.
"Of course I do."
She smiled warmly.
"How could I forget? You're Najib Aminu Garba's sister. You got married earlier this year and booked your bridal spa package with us."
"Yes." Amina chuckled.
"I'm glad you remember."
"You're most welcome, ma'am."
The manager smiled.
"So, are you here to book another spa session?"
"Yes, but not for me."
She turned toward Hanan.
"It's for my beautiful sister here. Her wedding is only a few weeks away."
Hanan smiled politely.
"Good afternoon."
"Good afternoon."
The manager returned her smile before giving Hanan a careful look.
"You're so pretty and congratulations on your engagement."
"Thank you very much."
"So..." The manager continued.
"Are you looking for our intensive bridal skincare package?"
Hanan looked at Amira and Amina.
"I'm not really sure."
"What do you both think?"
Amira shrugged. "I'll leave that to the professional."
She smiled at the manager.
"Could you recommend what's best for her?"
"Certainly."
The manager nodded before examining Hanan's complexion more closely.
"Honestly, your skin is already in excellent condition."
"It doesn't require any major treatment."
"However, with your wedding approaching, I would recommend our one week bridal glow package."
"It focuses on hydration, brightening, and relaxation."
"We'll also give you a meal guide showing the foods to eat and those to avoid during the treatment."
"And one more thing..."
She smiled.
"You'll need plenty of rest. Good sleep is one of the biggest secrets behind healthy and glowing skin."
"Okay."
Hanan nodded.
"That sounds good."
"So, when would you like to begin?"
"The day after tomorrow." Amina answered before Hanan could.
"Perfect."
The manager noted the appointment.
"We'll be expecting you."
"Thank you." Amina smiled. "And the bill is on me."
"So please make sure she leaves here looking like the most glowing bride."
The manager laughed softly.
"Don't worry."
"By the time we're done with her, she'll be glowing hard."
The appointment ended with Amina settling the payment, officially confirming Hanan's booking.
After leaving the spa, Amira insisted they stop by a bridal boutique to look at wedding dresses.
However, Hanan declined with an apologetic smile.
"I would love to, but I really need to head home."
"I have a big day tomorrow, and I still have a few things to prepare."
"Fair enough."
Amira smiled. "We'll save the dress shopping for another day."
After saying their goodbyes, Hanan hailed an Uber and headed home.
