Chapter 8 My Red Nightgown
Thinking about his recent strange behavior, I reflected on myself.
I probably hadn't been romantic enough or proactive enough.
He had taken it to heart.
To close the distance between us, I decided to wear my red battle robe tonight.
It was a new red lace camisole nightgown.
The fabric clung to my body, outlining every curve. The thin material left little to the imagination.
I didn't believe he could resist.
Even I felt my own pulse quicken looking at it.
After showering I knocked on the guest room door.
Sure enough, when Jiang Yu saw me his cold expression cracked.
A suspicious blush spread from his ears down to his neck.
"You... you you..."
He started stuttering.
"Husband~"
I called softly in a coquettish tone.
I saw his body tremble.
He kept his eyes fixed on the floor, refusing to look at me.
"What... what are you doing here?"
His breathing grew rapid. His Adam's apple bobbed nonstop.
"The air conditioner in the master bedroom broke..."
I softened my voice.
The room fell silent except for the sound of him swallowing hard.
Jiang Yu's face turned deep red.
He kept swallowing.
Yet he still tried to look indifferent.
"Yeah.
I'll sleep in the master bedroom."
Then he turned to leave.
I couldn't believe it.
He never had this kind of self-control before.
I had heard a man's prime didn't last long.
Could he be... unable now?
The thought slipped out.
"Are you not able to do it anymore?"
Jiang Yu stopped abruptly and spun around.
He gritted his teeth and forced out four words.
"What! Did! You! Say!"
I jumped at his reaction.
Realizing I had been too blunt and hurt his pride, I felt embarrassed and wanted to explain.
Jiang Yu already strode over, picked me up, and threw me onto the bed.
Though his face stayed cold, his body gave an honest response.
He was more intense than usual. He said nothing.
But from his dark eyes I saw a man's ridiculous pride.
He proved with actions that he was more than capable.
Even when I begged for mercy he didn't stop.
In my ear came his voice thick with competitiveness.
"Between him and me, who is better?"
"What?"
I didn't catch it clearly.
But I instinctively praised him. "Husband, you're so amazing!"
The more praise he got, the harder he worked.
After my words, Jiang Yu's mood clearly lifted. His movements grew even more vigorous.
