Chapter 11

Taryn

I’ve got a wolf between my legs.

A wolf with a tongue that feels a lot different than I imagined when I saw him wagging it at me teasingly. What the fuck has happened to my life?

His tongue is currently coiled around my clit, stroking it, while he rubs my entrance with his finger.

I’m trembling, feeling a different kind of pleasure, and my pussy keeps clenching like it’s been too long since he was inside me.

Him being some sort of mythological wolf shifter seems much less important the longer his tongue works its magic between my legs.

The mating bond is doing things to me that are vulgar, making me think things that I used to consider obscene. He claimed me in this bed last night. Marked me with a wound that has already healed into a scar. Playing with magic has consequences I never imagined.

His tongue releases my clit, and I gasp as the blood returns to it. The wet muscle moves through my folds, then pushes inside me, my walls squeezing but unable to grip it. He goes deep, then a little deeper, and I grab his hair with both hands, my hips bucking against his mouth.

Then he flicks his tongue against my g-spot, gently stroking it, and my body erupts.

“Oooooh, mmmmyyyy gaaawwd!” I scream, an orgasm hitting me out of nowhere, like the universe itself just decided it now works in my favor.

The orgasm rolls through me in waves of bliss.

Victor’s tongue moves inside me, licking and tasting, teasing my g-spot constantly, and every flick is another wave of bliss.

It feels like he’s devouring me in the best possible way.

My hips won’t stop bucking and it feels like I’m actually riding his tongue.

He growls, his hands forcing my legs wider. He starts spearing his tongue into me, only pausing to caress my g-spot before pulling back and doing it again. Pistoning thrusts and gentle teases become my entire reason for breathing as another rushing wave of orgasms begins.

“Victor!” I scream louder, my entire body jerking with every pulse of pleasure.

If this is Mother Fate’s doing, then I fucking love her.

I’m ready to switch religions, just show me the way.

But Victor isn’t Prince Charming or King of Everything.

He’s a wolf shifter, and my brain still won’t—can’t—process that.

My core is on fire, and his tongue is stoking it so perfectly there’s no way this isn’t as close to perfect fate as I’ve ever been.

He devours my pussy like a wild beast, and every time I meet his dark gaze, there’s a golden flame raging, consuming just a little more of me.

Is this really why I’m here? My purpose in life? Magic is real! Wolf shifters are real! My understanding of the universe has just expanded so much I feel like a cavewoman who just learned the sun will keep rising, even if I stop praying to it.

“Oh god, oh god, Victor!” I cry out, bucking wildly as my core detonates like a bomb.

I thought what we did last night was the most amazing thing that could ever happen, but his tongue is just as impressive as his cock. I cling to him until he drains every ounce of pleasure out of my body with his marvelous tongue.

Then my arms go limp and I fall back against the mattress, his tongue still deep inside me, my walls quivering on it. He gently slides it out, releasing his grip on my thighs. He leans back and wipes his mouth with the back of his hand, a look of decadent pleasure on his impossibly handsome face.

I expect to feel embarrassed now that he’s not touching me. Exposed. Maybe even foolish. Instead, I feel worshipped in a way I don’t know how to accept yet.

“Why don’t you relax while I take a shower,” he says, checking his phone. “I’m sure I’ll hear from Saul soon.”

I raise an arm to ask if he wants… anything after that. The words die on my lips as my eyes close. He could do anything he wanted. My body is still here, even if my mind feels like it’s sort of melted and oozy around the edges.

I doze off, vaguely aware of him muttering angrily about how cold the shower is. He should feel it in the winter.

The next thing I know is that he’s shaking my shoulder. I open my eyes and he’s fully dressed, holding his phone.

“Saul’s ready to meet us,” he reports. “Get up and get dressed.”

“Oh, um, okay,” I mutter, stretching as I sit up.

I’m still tingling from his tongue, but resting my eyes seems to have helped. Truthfully, I haven’t felt the usual exhaustion that hung over me like a cloud before the curse was broken. I don’t feel frustrated, irritated, or annoyed. I feel kind of radiant.

“Damn, you’re beautiful,” Victor murmurs as I get out of bed.

Rolling my eyes and smiling sheepishly, I reply, “I’m glad you think so, since you’re kind of stuck with me.”

My mind is still processing it, some mature part of me trying to be cautious while the rest of me proceeds with reckless abandon. My body certainly isn’t having any trouble processing anything. It already wants more.

“After the frenzy, things will be different. It won’t be so intense,” he says. “You may see things differently. May see me differently. I hope that isn’t the case, but the bond can wither if we don’t protect it.”

I don’t know whether that’s supposed to comfort me or scare me.

“Right now, it feels like I would die to protect it,” I admit, feeling the pull toward him.

“Me too, Taryn. And the first step is meeting with Saul.”

I’m so far out of my element, all I can really do is nod and get dressed. Except when I turn around, his brow is raised disapprovingly.

“What’s wrong?” I ask, almost feeling like I’m in trouble again.

“I love the way your ass looks in those shorts, but the rest of the world doesn’t need to see it,” he complains. “They have a hole in the crotch and if I didn’t watch you put on red panties, I’d know how little they hide, too.”

“I… I mean,” I look down at my raggedy denim shorts. “I guess I’ve had these shorts since high school. I don’t have much to wear.”

“One problem at a time. Find something more appropriate to wear,” he orders, gesturing to me. “We’ll sort out your wardrobe later.”

“Okay,” I acquiesce, swallowing hard.

I appreciate the protectiveness. I even like the possessiveness a little bit.

The thought that he doesn’t want everyone to see what is his.

Younger me would have fought this like Shana fought her parents until they finally just let her wear black lipstick to school.

This feels different. I don’t know why, exactly. Maybe it’s just him.

I find a pair of jeans that are overdue for a wash, but he seems pleased with them.

“So, do you have a car or something? How are we going to get there?” I ask, picking up my purse. “I’m assuming you don’t have a bus pass.”

“I told Saul to send us a car. It should already be waiting outside,” he answers, walking to the stairs. “Let’s go.”

I follow him up the stairs and outside. To my surprise, there’s a black Land Rover sitting in the driveway. It doesn’t look out of place in this neighborhood, but I’ve never been inside one. He walks over to it while I lock up. When I catch up, he’s already holding the keys.

“You can just have a Land Rover delivered?” I ask, following him to the passenger side. “Saul just rented this for you?”

“No, little girl,” he chuckles, opening the passenger door. “This is yours. But when I’m with you, I’m driving. Hop in.”

My brain short circuits and I climb inside before it registers. I turn to say something, but he slams the door, so I have to turn toward the driver’s side to wait for him.

“You bought me a car!?” I sort of shriek, my jaw dropping.

I try to calculate how many shifts it would take me to afford the monthly payment on one of these and give up immediately.

I don’t even own any furniture that wasn’t donated, and now there’s a Land Rover in the driveway with my name apparently floating around it.

I already feels this is happening too fast, but I don’t think my mind moves at fated mate speed.

“Technically, I think it’s an SUV,” he smiles, adjusting the seat before he climbs in, his large frame filling the space. “You need a way to get around. I don’t. And while I’d love to let you ride on my back, I don’t think we’re there yet.”

“Um, no…” I mumble, shaking my head. “You mean, like… when you’re a wolf?”

“Yes, when I’m in my human form, the only thing you have to ride is my cock,” he smirks, starting the engine. “Fasten your seatbelt. You’re a lot more breakable than I am.”

My core clenches because I immediately picture myself straddling his waist. I shake it off and fasten my seatbelt. I’m glad I do because he pulls out of the driveway and hits the accelerator like we’re on the interstate instead of in the middle of suburbia.

“Whoa!” I say. “Slow down. There are kids around here.”

“I could drive this thing through a forest at a hundred miles an hour and never hit a tree,” he assures me.

“Yeah, well… the neighbors will still flip the fuck out!” I retort, as he takes a corner so fast the SUV tilts on two tires.

“Fine,” he mutters, letting it coast when it returns to having all four wheels on the ground. “I guess I’ve already traumatized them enough.”

“You think? You couldn’t like, drag them away or… I don’t know, get rid of the bodies?” I ask hesitantly.

“If I’d been more patient, sure,” he growls. “I wasn’t.”

I don’t know if this is the mating bond, or just because my world is so unraveled, but I find it kind of hot that he protected me.

Nobody has really done that before. Joe wasn’t all talk.

Not based on what I found when I looked him up online.

I could have very easily been his next victim.

Frank and Melinda could have been killed, too.

“Do you kill people like that regularly?” I ask. “Bad people?”

“It’s what Silver Pack does,” he replies. “For the last year, we’ve been dealing with a group of assholes. A motorcycle club called the Devastators MC. They trafficked women until we put a stop to it.”
