20. Vaughn #2

I followed him up, ignoring his paleness and locking the door behind him. I watched on my phone as he left. I quickly pushed the button, setting my alarm and bolting the doors before I headed back down the stairs. Penelope was sitting at the edge of the bed, staring at the floor.

“You did good today.”

“I don’t feel like it.”

“Are you kidding? You wielded that flogger beautifully. You didn’t hold back. Not even a little.”

“He deserved it.”

“He did. I’m proud of you.”

A cross between shock and surprise had Penelope’s slightly bowed head lifting. Her lips parted and her look was enough to have me slowly sitting.

“What is it?”

“I… I don’t think anyone has said that to me before. I—Thank you.”

My head shook. “No one has ever said they were proud of you?”

“No. Not that I can recall.”

“Well, … I’m proud.”

I gently took her hand expecting her to rip it away again. When she didn’t, fluttering filled my chest.

“I know you don’t want this, Penelope. You didn’t ask for it.

I just…” Sadness hit, and I tried to push it away, but it was impossible to keep my emotions hidden when her blue eyes were so full of warmth and understanding.

“From the moment I saw you, no one else has existed. You live in my dreams. You haunt my every thought.” I brought her hand up, kissing it.

“No one would choose this life, but I choose you. I want you, Penelope. You can do this. We can do it together. Me and you. Please. Choose me. Choose this life, and I will do whatever I can to make it more than you could have dreamed. It sounds impossible, but it’s not. Trust me. Love me. Be with me.”

“Vaughn—”

“Don’t speak if it’s not yes. I don’t want to hear your rejection. I can’t bear it.”

I lifted her, sliding her to straddle my lap. Giving her a choice was out of the question. I held to the back of her neck, leading her mouth to mine. The resistance was there, but it was fleeting as I slipped my tongue passed her lips. When her tongue met mine, our moans were automatic.

Heat poured from my skin, and that spark that burned inside of me for Penelope flared into an inferno.

“I shouldn’t—”

“You should.”

“… but… Vaughn.”

Fingers buried in my hair at our deepening kiss, tightening as she moved against me. My fingers dug into her ass, and I had to stop myself from spinning her to the bed.

“I’m the one for you. I’m the one, Penelope.” My breaths were fast as I forced the words into her mind. “Take off your dress. I want to see you. Taste you.”

No fear. Penelope grabbed the hem, searching my face.

When she pulled the slip dress over her head, I lifted her to her knees, bringing her breasts level with my face.

Her fingers dug into my shoulder as I flicked my tongue over one of her nipples.

The small cry had me leaning forward, sucking it into my mouth.

Her breath hitched. A deep sound left her as I added pressure over the top of her pussy. I moved in slow circles, feeding from the slicing pain from her nails.

“Vaughn. This... God… Vaughn.”

Wetness met me as I slid my digits to trace over her entrance. Penelope’s mouth met mine again, and I couldn’t stop from easing a finger inside of her. When I slipped in another, it caused Penelope to break away.”

“Wait, I don’t think I can. I—can’t.” Her words were cut off by her moan. She was moving against my fingers, trying to get them deeper. Her entire body was trembling.

“You can’t, or you don’t want to?”

I eased her down to lay on her back, spreading her legs as I lowered. Uncertainty flashed, but she didn’t stop me.

“I don’t know. I’m confused about all of this. And… I’m supposed to wait for marriage.”

“I respect that. But I have to ask. Are you waiting because you want to, or because you’ve been told you have to?”

Confliction registered. I could tell she didn’t want to stop.

Lowering, I trailed my tongue from her opening to her clit. Her legs jolted, and she moaned, gripping to the comforter as I used the tip of my tongue to tease over the sensitive nerves.

Back and forth Penelope’s head turned while she rotated her hips to the pleasure.

“I think—Marriage is probably—”

I added suction, and she cried out, moving faster as I eased my fingers in long enough to withdraw and suck her taste off my digits. Her eyes flew open, but she only got louder as I went back to licking and fucking her with my fingers.

“…I should marry first. I mean, I should technically hold to my morals.” Her legs jolted again, and she reached down, fisting my hair as she pulled me in more. “I should—”

“You will. We will,” I stated. “Don’t be confused. Choose this. Choose me. You don’t have to worry about my intentions. They’re you. That won’t change. We’ll wait to go all the way until we’re married.”

“Married…” Her head shook, and I saw some unidentifiable emotion slide in to extinguish the lust. Realization was settling in, stealing her away from me.

“Penelope.” I lifted, moving on top of her as a prickling fear begged that I get rid of her doubts. Anything to make her continue. “We don’t have to think about that now.”

My lips brushed over hers. I rubbed over the wetness watching as her lids grew heavier.

She started moving against me again. Seconds drug out and then minutes as I built her back up.

Anxiety retreated, and with it, my entire being hummed with a crazed need.

A new one that had surpassed anything I felt before.

She was so close to changing her mind about me and pulling away. I could feel it. And she couldn’t.

I wanted her.

I wanted her more than I had ever wanted anything.

“Kiss me. Penelope, please. I can’t breathe without you in me.”

Her lips met mine and my world spun on its axis. I eased my fingers deeper, hitting the wall marking her virginity. Penelope cried out, spasming through her orgasm—stealing a bigger piece of me with every whimper and moan.

If there was anything left of me on the inside, I couldn’t feel it.

Penelope consumed me—my air, my light, my sun, my fucking world.

She was all I knew. All I wanted to know.

And I was falling deeper into the void of no return.

If I didn’t get control over myself again soon, I might never find my way out again.
