Chapter 6 #2
“Yeah, I have. I like watching you from a distance. You aint like most of these girls running round here. I like that.”
I nodded.
“You be running around with Shell’s nasty ass, but you don’t let her influence you. It seems like you got a mind of your own.”
“I do.”
He laughed. “Are you always like this?”
I lifted a brow. “Like what?”
“So reserved, like you got it all under control.”
“Wow. I didn't know that I came across that way.”
“Yeah you do. I have to keep reminding myself that you're a youngsta.”
“Hey, they say that age aint nothing but a number.”
He nodded. “True. We know that, huh?” he placed a hand on my belly.
I blushed, as my heart fluttered. No other dude had given me this feeling other than Jahrein.
He grinned as he leaned over, kissing my lips.
“And I can’t believe how you are.” he pulled away.
“What do you mean?”
“I find it kind of hard to believe that you're so down to earth. You know how you see a person and you make it up in your mind that they're a certain way?”
“Yeah.”
“Well, I'm learning to never judge a book by its cover. Even though, I heard that you were smart I was still thinking that you were somehow a bubble brain. Most girls like you don't have a lick of common sense.”
“Uh...should I be offended?” I smiled.
“Naw.” he chuckled. “I'm saying...you humble like a muthafucka. That's cute, but it's temporary. Trust me.”
“How do you know?”
His eyes examined me. “It's inevitable.”
“Yeah right.” I waved my head.
“Okay. Watch what I tell you, your head will be gassed up.” he laughed.
“No it won’t.” I playfully shoved him again.
“Look at those dimples.” he swooned, as he gazed at me.
I couldn’t help looking into his eyes. I could see the desire in them, and it made me feel sexy.
A few years ago, I would have been confused about the feeling he gave me.
But I had done too much with Jahrein to not be in tune with my sexuality.
“Look at you.” I said seductively, as I lightly stroked his lips with my index finger.
He continued to look into my eyes. We were so into each other, and I think that it was because of the physical and mental attraction.
Even if Khalil was dead broke he’d still be fine as hell.
I loved his thug swagger mixed with a hint of a gentleman.
As we sat on the bed he kissed me. The kiss was sweet, and I welcomed it.
The next thing I knew we were in a full-fledged make out session.
We were kissing at a feverish pace. Then he began undressing me.
I was in heat and was more than ready for whatever.
It actually turned me on to finally give Jahrein a little pay back.
Once he had me completely naked he just sat back and stared. “Damn, girl. You got the perfect body. Even with that belly you the baddest.”
I was turned on to the fullest, so I gapped my legs giving him an open invitation.
He didn’t waste any time in burying his head between my legs.
He went straight for the clit. I think that my pregnancy hormones had me feeling freakier than usual.
So, I was really into it as he licked me with lightning speed.
I rocked my hips with the sway of his tongue, as I gripped his head.
“Uh, shit. Yeah! Just like that.” I cried out, feeling freer than I had in long while. I don’t know if it was the anticipation or what, but I came in one minute flat. He had me so wet that I left a huge wet spot on the covers.
A few minutes later I found myself bouncing all over his dick.
It was a nice ten inches long, and hella thick.
I was enjoying that ride and so was he. He was matching every thrust I threw at him.
I was pounding my pussy on his dick, trying to fuck all of my hurt away.
He was smacking and rubbing my ass, encouraging me to do my thang.
“Tell me that this won’t be the last time.” He panted. I stared down him and attempted to open my mouth. No words would come out. I hadn’t practiced the art of being deceitful, so I couldn’t answer that.
Before the night was over we’d tried every position known to man.
Each time Khalil would explode on a different part of my body.
I didn’t even try to go home that night.
I had never pulled anything like that, which I knew would send a loud message.
I would just have to deal when the time came.
I felt like saying fuck everybody, because obviously nobody cared about me or my feelings.
The next day I woke up with guilt heavy on my conscience. A part of me felt dirty. The only thing keeping me sane was the fact that I now had my own dirt. I was fed up with the double standard within my relationship.
Khalil was being all touchy feely, but I really didn't wanna be bothered. So, I breathed a sigh of relief when he pulled into my neighborhood. He dropped me off a block away from my house. I didn’t care as I noticed a few of Jahrein’s boys hanging outside.
When I made it through the door I had ten eyes staring back at me.
There in the living room was Red, Lero, Ray-Ray, Jahrein, and Junior.
Even my poor baby seemed to have a worried look on his face.
They all started with a million questions at once.
“Where the fuck have you been?” Ray-Ray shouted.
“Minding my business.” I snaked my neck.
“What?! You must think that I won’t kick your ass, little girl.” he barked, as he lifted off the couch.
“Do what you do. At least then maybe I can lose this bitch ass baby.” I snapped.
“Raven, what’s wrong with you? Why would you say something like that?” Red asked me with tears in her eyes. I didn’t mean for her to be affected by my words. My anger was directed to the sorry ass men in our lives.
“Red, I don’t know how you can put up with this. I’m tired of your son and Ray-Ray. I just wanna move out!” I blurted.
“What? What did I do to you?” Ray-Ray asked, as if I offended him or something.
“You uphold Jahrein.” I clapped my hands. “You let him do fucked up shit to me. Why do you allow him to lay with me, when you know he’s out here fucking other girls? I’ll tell you why! It’s because you do the same thing, so you don’t see nothing wrong with it.”
“That’s a lie, Raven! I don’t let that nigga do shit to you. If you don’t wanna be with him then just tell him. I’ll make sure that he gives you your space.” Ray-Ray alleged.
“It’s too late. You should’ve done that before he knocked me up again. I hate you and him! I just wanna go!” I screamed as I walked towards my room. I went straight to my closet and started throwing shit in my duffel bag. I didn’t know where I was going, but I wasn’t staying there.
“Raven, calm down, mama, before you have a miscarriage. And you don’t want that at this stage. That shit is painful.” Red said, as she came in and stood in front of my closet, preventing me from getting more clothes.
“Red, please move.” I sniffled. “I gotta get out of here.”
“No.” she shook her head. “Even though, you might feel like it most of the time, you are not grown. And you know damn well that your daddy is not about to let you out of this house.”
“Fuck that hoe ass nigga!” I bellowed, as I dropped my clothes on the floor.
“Girl.” was all Red could say, as she started fanning herself.
“Mama, let me talk to her for a minute.” Jahrein told her, as he entered the room.
“I aint got shit to say to you.” I gritted.
“That’s cool. Then you can just listen.” he nodded.
Red eased out of my room and closed the door behind her. They all pissed me off. Why did they give us privacy like we were some married couple or something? I was just fifteen and I think that everybody had long ago forgotten that.
“Baby, I know that you are mad right now. And you have your reasons. But before you say anything I want you to listen….I been in The Dead End for the past two days trying to get my paper right. I threw away a lot of work the other day running from the laws, so I was trying to mash over there. I was hustling night and day. It was just about the money. I swear on everything I love.” he raised his right hand to the man.
“Mama, I was getting this money for our family. We about to have another mouth to feed, and we can’t live here with them forever.
My brother is coming home next month, so this house is going to be even more crowded.
Two babies in this little bitty room aint gon cut it.
Raven, I promise that’s all I’m worried about is you, Junior, and my unborn child. ”
I snarled. “You know what? Fuck you and your promises. Why didn’t you include that baby you got with Melissa?”
“Who told you that?” he frowned. “That bitch’s baby aint mine!” he yelled.
“Shut up! It don’t even matter, because I don’t want you no more. I can’t stand you. It’s over. The only thing that you can do for me is take care of your kids.”
“So, you don’t wanna be with me?” he asked, like he was hard of hearing.
“Nope, I sure don’t.” I said with my hands on my hips. “I just want to be by myself. Let me breathe. You aint the only nigga on the planet.”
Jahrein took a long look into in my eyes, to see if I was serious. “It’s like that?”
I simply nodded, as he narrowed his eyes. “What’s that on your neck, Raven?”
I didn’t know what the hell he was talking about, so I glanced at my vanity mirror, and saw a red mark on my neck. I don’t know how I missed that when I did an overall inspection, before leaving the room. I didn’t even know how to begin to explain that, so I opted to reverse things around.
“It don’t matter how it got there. You just worry about what all those bitches you fucking got on their neck. It’s over anyway, so stay out of my business.”
The next thing I knew that bastard flipped out and punched a hole in the wall. “Stay out of your business, huh?!” he belted, as he threw a bottle full of milk at me.
