Chapter 10 #4

When Johnny quivered, Gavin couldn’t help but reward him some more.

He used both hands, fucking his hole with his fingers and stroking his cock until Johnny thrust his hips up to meet him.

Then Gavin stopped. “Okay, so. I’m not interested in Bryce.

Not anymore. I’m interested in you. Is that clear? ”

“Yes.”

“Good. Now, what’s the deal with Pilot? How long have you known him?”

Johnny thrust his hips up.

“No. Be still and answer.”

“Fine. All my life, I guess. Since we were kids in elementary school.”

“So he’s your best friend?”

“Hey! Reward me for shit-sakes.”

Gavin stroked Johnny’s cock and flicked his thumb over his slit. “Now. Best friend?”

“You know that. Yes.”

“Is he what you want to be distracted from?”

“Fuck.” Johnny’s body relaxed into the bed, but Gavin wanted him tense like a live wire.

“Johnny.”

“Can we stop? Can we get to the fucking part?” Johnny mumbled something under his breath, and it sounded like more cursing.

Gavin slid his hand off Johnny’s cock and cupped his balls. “I’m not done.”

“I’m done.”

Gavin looked up to gauge Johnny’s reactions.

“You said if I needed to stop to say so. I’m saying stop. We can...do other things. You can fuck me. You don’t even have to untie me, but I’m done with the questions.”

Gavin loved that confidence. It made him hard.

The tension that accompanied it, though?

That he did not care for at all. Nope. He didn’t need Johnny to answer the question.

He’d asked it for a reason. When Johnny didn’t want to answer, it only confirmed Gavin’s suspicions.

He hadn’t been using Johnny, but Johnny was using him.

He wouldn’t have cared about that before, but now it ripped his heart open.

“No, I’ll let you loose.” He unbuckled the straps at his thighs, and Johnny dropped his legs to the bed, stretching them. Gavin leaned over him and flicked open the clips on his wrists, letting him work the rest of the contraption off. He didn’t want to look at Johnny anymore.

“I’m going. I’m going to explore the rest of the house.” He grabbed some clothes out of his suitcase. “I’m gonna grab a shower first.”

Johnny crossed his legs Indian style and silently watched him leave the room.

He found a shower down the hall and jumped in.

He didn’t want to think about his failure.

Didn’t want to think about how he’d hoped Johnny might return his feelings.

He wasn’t. Johnny was after a fun distraction.

Gavin could be all of that and more. Hadn’t he already been doing exactly that?

What had that butt plug been about, if not to try and distract Johnny from his issues?

How could he expect to be anything else?

The water cascaded over his head and shoulders. Hot and relaxing, but his brain wasn’t getting the message. It kept replaying Johnny’s words. Can we stop? Can we fuck?

Even that was okay. What had Gavin crashing was the I’m done.

What did that mean? Done with the questions, yes, but did it mean he was done with pushing for something more between them?

Was he so hung up on that fucker Pilot, the over-muscled asshole, that they would never be anything?

Best friend. Johnny wanted more than that with him.

It was obvious. Pilot was an idiot for not seeing Johnny’s worth.

Going after two racers over Johnny? Gavin could not understand that.

At. All. Especially Bryce. The kid was.. .a kid.

Gavin sighed.

He wasn’t being fair to any of them.

The door opened. He lifted his head. Johnny?

“I hate you leaving like that.”

“I’m sorry, Johnny. I mean it.”

Johnny stepped into the shower behind Gavin. “Forget all that shit. Go back to the question about our future.”

“You can’t move to a future as long as you’re hung up on him.”

“Damn it, Gav.”

“I’m trying to be truthful.”

“I didn’t mean to hurt you, and I’d rather focus on what could be rather than what won’t ever be, but I can’t flip a switch and have him mean nothing.”

“I get it. No big deal. I can...distract you. I’m glad I know now. That’s all.”

Johnny pressed his forehead between Gavin’s shoulder blades. Gavin could feel him rolling his head back and forth. “You don’t know, Gavin. You don’t know anything.”

“Then tell me.”

Johnny’s teeth scraped over his skin. His lips kissed where he’d scraped. “It’s not Pilot. It’s not only Pilot. I-I’m having issues with work. My whole fucking life. I don’t want to talk about it. I want to enjoy this trip. I want you to fuck me senseless. Strap me up again and take my ass.”

“I can do that.”

“That doesn’t mean—hell. None of it means I don’t really like you.

None of this means that I don’t think we could ever be more.

Damn, you mean so much to me already. It’s like, well, it’s like holding you and what you mean in one hand and all the rest of it in the other.

I’m not ready to smash it all together, but for shit-sakes, Gav, that doesn’t mean I’ll always feel this way. ”

“Doesn’t mean you’ll change your mind either.” Gavin turned around and wrapped Johnny in his arms. “You mean a lot to me too. More than I thought you would. I’m sorry. I’ve been a bit sensitive about it. I haven’t felt this way before, and I’m being a jackass.”

“Okay, let’s forget this.” He spoke into Gavin’s pecks and rubbed his hands up his back. “Let’s go back to enjoying ourselves. We can talk about this shit later. Give me time to figure shit out and —”

“Stop. You’re right. Nothing serious the rest of this trip.” Gavin grabbed the sides of Johnny’s face and pushed his head back. He assaulted his mouth, thrusting his tongue between Johnny’s lips. Demanding and fierce, Johnny gave it all back to him.

When they separated, Johnny looked up into Gavin’s eyes. “You’re good for me. Let’s keep going.”

Gavin answered by kissing him again.

The sun streaked in through the curtain, letting Gavin know morning had come.

He got up and went to the bathroom before heading back into the bedroom.

Johnny slept, looking peaceful and sweet.

Gavin didn’t want to push him so hard that he would leave or call it quits between them.

He wanted to keep this one. He put his desires behind him, setting his mind on pleasing Johnny.

Other than what he needed to do at the track for work, the rest of the trip would be all about Johnny.

He’d make it up to him and more. Distraction? Gavin could do that.

He snuggled next to Johnny and whispered in his ear, “Want breakfast? Come eat with me, and then you can go back to bed.”

Johnny groaned a bit but got up. “I’ll meet you in the kitchen. Gotta pee.”

Gavin chuckled but readily agreed. He headed into the kitchen where an older lady prepared various breakfast items. Two guys he didn’t know sat at the counter, eating a soup.

He’d been hoping they’d all left for Johnny’s sake.

He kicked himself for not asking that question earlier in their game.

“Hi, I’m Gavin.” With a smile, he took the bowl of soup the woman offered him.

“You’re gonna love that soup.” One of the guys pointed at the soup and nodded for Gavin to join them. “I’m Casey. This is Buck.” They wore jeans and jerseys.

“You’re not racing?”

“Oh, no. We’re journalists,” Buck explained.

“Oh, I didn’t realize—”

“Toyota wants a lot of press out of this, so they put us up. We’re not as quick to the track as the others. You?”

He briefly wondered if they knew Jason, but he didn’t ask.

“I’m not exactly associated with Toyota.

I’m a manager for a Supercross team who races Toyotas.

I’m here to scope out new riders. That’s all.

” He didn’t want to give them too much information.

He’d hate for anything about his trip to hit the magazines, speculatory or not. He didn’t need it.

Johnny walked out and said hello. He was noticeably easier with these two guys than the racers. The woman handed him another bowl of soup, and he sat next to Gavin to eat. “I’ve never eaten soup for breakfast.”

“Different culture,” Gavin said, taking a sip.

“It’s Harira. Traditional for breakfast and pretty tasty. Try it,” Casey said, obviously enjoying his meal.

Johnny ate a spoonful. “It is good. Thanks.” They also had dates and hot mint tea to go with the food.

They ate quietly for a few minutes until the two reporters left.

The woman in the kitchen insisted on cleaning up their bowls, so they left to get the day started.

Gavin walked back to the room with Johnny.

“I have to go to the track for a few hours. You don’t have to come with me.

Stay here, go back to sleep, lounge at the pool.

Everyone else is gone. You’ll have the place to yourself. ”

“Don’t you want me to go with you?”

Gavin gave him what he hoped was a pleasant smile, but his insides fumed with frustration.

He wanted Johnny beside him constantly. He also wanted to make Johnny happy and more relaxed.

“Ah...I do, but you don’t have to come. This is practice day.

Nothing for points or competition. I know it’ll be boring, and you hate it.

Come with me tomorrow during the actual racing.

That’ll be a little more interesting, and I’ll know better which racers to point out to you. ”

Johnny nodded and shoved his glasses back. “That’s cool, I guess.” He looked around the room. “Don’t know what I’ll do, though.”

Gavin stepped closer and kissed him on the side of the head. “Whatever you want. Do nothing.” Johnny climbed back into bed, and Gavin tucked the comforter around him. “I won’t be very long.”
