Chapter 10 #6

“Well, wait a sec.” He looked around the area. The pool sparkled, and the colored lights made it glow. “I like this. We can wait a few more minutes.”

Gavin smiled. “I hoped you’d like it.”

“I do. I like it. This place. You.”

Gavin was afraid there would be a huge but following Johnny’s words, but Johnny didn’t say anything. They finished their drinks, and Gavin put the leftovers in the kitchen before following Johnny up to their room.

Gavin wanted to make love to him. Slow and gentle like before, but he could see how tired Johnny was, and he was determined not to be a prick about it.

He could be. Easily. It was in his nature to push for what he wanted, but he reeled that side in.

This time, his desires were about a lot more than a quick fuck and way more than distracting Johnny like they’d discussed.

The only way to get to that was to play the long game.

Patience and understanding won out. He tucked Johnny in and curled up around him, acting like the big spoon until he finally heard the slow, gentle breaths that indicated Johnny was asleep.

It took a good long while, but eventually, Gavin followed.

The next day at the track, Johnny seemed more chipper and somewhat interested in the racing.

Gavin took the opportunity to explain some of why he’d needed to come.

“This is a special race, like an exhibition. It’s a brand-new permanent track, so they’re trying to promote it out.

That means racers from all over the world are here.

Like the team at the villa. They’re from the US, but there are also a lot of Europeans here.

In particular, I’m watching a couple of the German racers, but also a few from France and even Croatia and Greece.

Look there.” Several racers and their mechanics rode toward the starting area of the track, all wearing orange and black. “That’s a US team. KTM.”

“Ah... Do I know any of them?”

“I don’t think so. They’re either amateur or arena cross. Or some other league.”

“Will any of our guys be here?”

“Maybe, but I doubt it. The Supercross guys have too much going on right now. Hell, they’re racing today in Houston, right?”

Johnny bumped into his shoulder. “You’d know better than me.”

Gavin huffed. Johnny would know exactly where they would be. “Anyway, I doubt they’ll be here, but there may be a few that used to ride Supercross. Like Kip Weatherly. He rode 250s for a bit and moved up to the 450s and did so poorly that he left altogether. I think he’s been in Europe since then.”

“Oh? That kind of makes it sound like the European leagues are what? Less than?”

Gavin snorted. “Not exactly, I mean, I guess they do have quality, but the most prestigious league is ours. Supercross.”

Johnny looked through the binoculars that Gavin handed him. “Sounds like American pride to me, but if you believed none of these guys were as good, we wouldn’t be here.”

“Some of them are as good. Better even. I get to see a variety. That’s why I’m here.”

“Hope you find someone.”

“Me too.”

The rest of the day went by quickly. Having Johnny there made the day a lot more interesting.

He’d seen a few racers that interested him, and he enjoyed explaining to Johnny why he liked them.

Between races, he went and spoke to a few of them and left his card.

One, in particular, seemed interested. Jakov Hranic from Croatia.

Gavin watched his practice and qualifying where he’d done well, but his first heat race was spectacular.

He didn’t get the holeshot. In fact, he ran thirteenth on the first lap.

Johnny shook his head and said he liked the guy in second from Greece better.

They kept watching, and Jakov pushed his way up, passing riders one by one until the crowd gasped as he flew by the Greek rider to challenge the guy in first. In the last two laps, he passed the guy and took a good two and half second lead before winning the race.

When he spoke to him, Jakov was still excited about having won the heat race but also about the chance to go to the US. They’d have to work out visas for that, but keeping communication open would be key.

“That seems promising,” Johnny said as they walked away from Jakov’s pit.

“I think so. He didn’t seem to care about switching bikes either. That’s good.”

“Yeah.” Johnny rolled his eyes, making Gavin laugh.

“All right, let’s go grab some food before the final moto gets underway.”

Thankfully, they found great food in the stands. They ate lamb kabobs with grilled tomatoes and green peppers. There was mint tea to go along with it. Then they returned to the track to watch the last race.

His favorite, Jakov, finished second, and the Greek racer they’d been watching took third.

The first place rider was one who’d been very experienced and winning in the European leagues, but he had a lot of good sponsors, and Gavin didn’t want to fight that hard to get him. No, Jakov would be a better choice.

After the races, they went back to the villa and joined the Toyota team for dinner. Afterward, everyone splashed around in the pool. Johnny even seemed happy to get in. It’d been a long, hot day. None of the Toyota team finished well, but two placed in the top ten, so they celebrated that.

When they finally made it back to the room, Johnny pulled the straps out. “Can we?” He bit his bottom lip and blushed.

“Fuck, yeah.” They were leaving in the morning, so why not spend the last night fucking the hell out of Johnny in their pink room. “Let’s make some memories. Clothes off and get on the bed.”

Gavin stripped then refastened the straps around Johnny’s thighs and neck. “Do you want me to cuff you again? Or can you keep your arms behind you?”

“Oh, hell no. I want it all. Get the cuffs.”

In a few quick moves, Gavin snapped the cuffs on and stretched Johnny’s arms over his head. Johnny was the culmination of all Gavin’s wet dreams, all trussed up and waiting for him. He took his time playing with Johnny’s ass, getting him ready. “I can’t wait to fuck you like this.”

“Stop playing around and fuck me, then.”

Gavin slapped the side of Johnny’s leg, making a loud sound, though he hadn’t hit him hard at all. Johnny’s eyes widened behind his glasses.

“Want your glasses off?”

“Yes, please.”

Gavin slid them off and leaned in to kiss him. It went from simple to passionate, quickly. When Gavin pulled back, Johnny leaned forward, following his lips. “Relax, baby.”

Johnny smiled. “I’m good. Come on.”

Gavin put the glasses on the side table and moved between Johnny’s legs. He loved being there. He ran his hands along Johnny’s thighs from his ass to the back of his knees. “You’re very sexy like this.” Gavin pulled on the restraints, making Johnny’s ass jump off the bed.

“Ah...fuck-sakes, Gav. Get on with it.”

“Oh, I am.” He rolled a condom on and lined up. He pushed in slow, but it didn’t take long for him to move to a more forceful rhythm. “Mmm...I want to take you home with me.” He could imagine Johnny all tied up in a swing with his ass open and ready for him, and Johnny would love it, no doubt.

“Shut up and fuck me, you kinky bastard.”

Gavin chuckled and gave him exactly what he asked for.

On the way to the airport, Gavin watched Johnny flip through his phone and listen to his voice mail. “Huh.”

“What?”

“That was Pilot. He left a message sometime over the last day or so.”

“Oh, yeah?” Gavin wanted to push him for what Pilot wanted with him, but he was being irrational. He kept his mouth shut and waited for Johnny to decide if he wanted to tell Gavin or not.

“He asked me to go to the race with them next weekend.”

“You should. I can meet you there.” He reached out and grabbed Johnny’s hand, lacing their fingers together. He hadn’t done that the entire trip, all too aware of where they were, but he needed the connection. The tinted windows and the oblivious driver gave him a sense of security.

“That would be okay, I guess.” Johnny stared down at their joined hands, and then he looked up to Gavin’s face. Their gazes snapped together like their seatbelts had when they’d gotten into the car.

“I’d like that.”

“Guess it’s settled.” He glanced back to his phone, but his eyes seemed reluctant to move.

Maybe Gavin had been projecting that. Maybe he wanted more of a connection between them than they actually had. He watched those long fingers of his flow over the phone as he texted his best friend.

Johnny turned back to him before he could school his features into something sweet. “What’s up with you, Gavin?”

He blew out a short breath. “I don’t know.”

“Tell me. Truth.”

“Fine. Maybe I’m a little jealous.”

“I don’t have to go with Pilot. I can make it to the races on my own, Gav.”

“That’s stupid. Don’t pander to my stupidity.

It won’t help.” That made Johnny laugh. Gavin was completely ridiculous, but he also loved that Johnny was willing to change his plans to make Gavin feel better.

“Go with Pilot and his entourage. I’ll meet you there.

You can stay with me. In my hotel. Can you do that? ”

Johnny laughed again, then nudged his shoulder into Gavin’s. “That sounds like a fine compromise, my friend.”

“Friend? Is that what we are—friends?”

Johnny’s brows pinched together, and he turned his head sharply to look out the window, avoiding Gavin’s gaze. “No. Yes. I mean...”

“What?” Gavin grabbed his chin and pulled it to face him again. “What are we?”

“More than friends. Lovers, but more. I think. I feel like it’s more.”

“Boyfriends?” Gavin couldn’t help the sappy smile that took over his face.

“Damn-bananas, Gavin. When you look at me like that, I’m gonna agree with whatever you want. Boyfriend.”

“I like that.”
