Chapter 9 – Lil Insane
Chapter
Nine
LIL INSANE
Ever since the night at the bowling alley, things between Khaos and me had changed drastically.
I don’t remember much of what happened other than niggas knocked me out and robbed me of everything that I had on me that night.
I woke up with a missing tooth and a blurry memory.
Niggas had caught me lacking and put me on my ass.
I had taken a shot to my pride, and my ego was bruised, but it is what it is; you win some and lose some.
The way I looked at it was as long as I still had my life, I lived to see another day and to catch them niggas slipping and get revenge.
Even though Khaos acted like she was really like that and lived this street life, I knew that she was a woman, and there was so much that she could do that night to help me, so I was never tripping on her, yet still she was acting mad differently, which was weird.
Things between us had changed drastically that night.
We were far from being as close as we once were.
We went from being inseparable to barely seeing each other.
At first, I didn’t take it any type of way and just charged it to the game; however, I was hearing some shit that I wasn’t feeling and was hoping that the information that I was getting wasn’t true.
If it was, that shit was gonna feel like a punch to the gut for sure.
“Did you find out the lo?” I asked my homie Jack of All Trades.
We had met a year ago at one of these gambling spots while we were shooting dice and had gotten close.
I mainly kept him around because he was good at getting the job done, no matter what it was.
The only thing that I had to do was make sure his family was eating well, and he was down for whatever, which is how he had gotten his name.
Whether it was killing a nigga, hacking, jacking, or fighting, he was a beast at everything he did, and niggas in the hood had grown to have respect for him.
“You know I did,” he bragged, causing me to rub my hands together.
I was done playing nice and allowing Khaos to think shit was sweet.
If she was going to keep hiding shit from me, then it was time to get down to the meat and potatoes.
What I was hearing from the streets was that Khaos was linking up with one of the niggas who had caught me lacking at the bowling alley.
When I heard that, so much shit and scenarios started crossing my mind.
Did she know that nigga, had they been linking up and hanging together?
Is that where she dipped off to that night, the shit went down?
Was she trying to play a nigga. The most important question I needed answers to was whether my so-called homegirl had crossed me or set me up.
I knew that the only way I was going to find out the truth was to catch her red-handed with the nigga, and that was exactly what I was planning on doing.
My homie Jack of all Trades and I pulled up to the address that he had gotten, and as soon as we turned onto the block, I noticed her small red Honda Civic.
My stomach began to turn, and my heart sank to the pit of my gut.
I couldn't even front like I wasn’t hurt; a nigga was salty as fuck and all in my feelings seeing Khaotic car on this niggas block.
Jack of all Trades looked at me and shook his head. He was only confirming what he had already known.
“Sorry, bro. I know this shit is hard for you.” Jack said.
“Yeah, I guess this is my karma for the way that I treated Holly. Not gonna lie, I deserve this shit; I just never expected it to come from my sis.”
“I feel you, if it was just a random bitch you were fucking t’ll be different, but when it’s family, that shit hits different-
He stopped mid-sentence when Khaos came walking out of the crib with a duffel bag over her shoulders and a purple bonnet on her head.
I wasn’t sure what embarrassed me more, the fact that she was laying up and staying the night with this nigga or the fact that she was so comfortable getting caught still wearing her bonnet.
I didn’t have time to ponder the thought; my anger went from zero to one hundred, and before I realized it, I was already out of the car and approaching her on the block as she approached her car.
I yanked her by the arm, slamming her body up against her car.
She went to say something, but I gripped the side of her face so tight she couldn’t get a word out.
“So you fucking my opps!” I grilled her.
“What the fuck, Insane, let me the fuck go!” she begged.
I ignored her pleas and further pushed her body up against the car.
If I could smack her through that motherfucker I would have; that’s how violated I felt.
It was taking everything in me not to completely crash out on this shady ass bitch, everything in my power.
“You're supposed to be my sis, my homie!” I told her. The hurt and betrayal was obvious in my voice.
“You’re the reason why my sister was killed, and you want me to stand by you and choose you every time?
If it wasn’t for my sister fucking with your cheating ass, then she would still be here.
You took away the only real person that loved me, and now you want me to say fuck life for you?
” She spoke in a clear and serious tone.
By the look in her eyes, I could tell that she had been feeling this way, but I didn’t understand why she hadn’t spoken up and expressed how she felt about the situation with her sister, Bambi.
“If you felt this way, then why are you just now bringing shit up?” I asked. I was not about to fall for the shit she was talking about.
“What the fuck did you expect me to say or do, Insane?”
“I expected you, out of all people, to stand on business behind your people. That’s your blood, sister, and you could’ve come to me about anything when it came to Bambii, no matter how you were feeling towards me. But to go behind my back was some savage, cold-hearted shit, my nigga!” I snapped.
“Whatever, Insane, let me go.” She tried pushing me out of the way, but I forced my weight against her body.
“Fuck that shit!” I barked.
“Come on, you're hurting me; let me go!” she pleaded.
I took one long look at her, and my anger and pride got the best of me.
Before I knew it, I had my glock pressed against her forehead and pulled the trigger.
I jumped out of the way, allowing her body to hit the ground.
Jack grabbed me by the arm, pulling me towards the car.
“Come on nigga we gotta get the fuck outta here!”
“Nah, I want that nigga now!” I told him. My eyes were beaming, and all I could see was red.
“Another time, yo! Jake is gonna be here any second now nigga. It’s not enough time.
We're gonna handle that nigga, trust me!” he said as we both jogged back towards the car.
As we pulled off, the nigga Khaotic walked outside, and our eyes met.
I nodded my head, letting that nigga know he was gonna have to see me again, and I meant that shit. I wanted my chain back.
