CHAPTER ELEVEN

PRESS PLAY

I was fresh off a shroom, and the way I was feeling was unexplainable.

Paige and I were tearing the dance floor up until the niggas came strolling.

I watched as every time Beans came around, he was sure to give her the attention she needed.

When Jesaiah came around, he slowed down as his body rocked back and forth while staring at me.

He tapped my chin then winked. My lip disappeared between my teeth as a smile eased on my face. That was when Beans came back around.

“Don’t get fucked up in here,” I heard him say to me as he continued to move.

I rolled my eyes. I glanced at Paige, who was so fucking smitten she hadn’t even pulled her eyes away from Beans.

That was when a pair of hands wrapped around my waist and slid down my thighs.

I moved my body to the beat. I hadn’t let loose like this in years.

The beat dropped, and the crowd went crazy.

I leaned forward and began swiveling my hips.

“Get it bitch!” I heard Morgan yell while leaning down in my ear. I hadn’t even realized she came over here. “That’s my friend!” she yelled.

My ass shook side to side as I dropped my hips and brought myself back up.

The guy I was dancing with started pulling me back again.

The way his body moved felt so familiar.

Suddenly, the guy let go of my hands, and Jesaiah pulled me forward.

I was on the moon, and my body matched his rhythm.

He spun me around, gripped my hips, and bounced my ass on him.

“Pretty ass,” he said in my ear.

I ignored his compliment as I continued to dance. I was enjoying myself. When I saw Apple standing there, I knew she wanted the nigga I was dancing with. I rocked side to side as I stared at her dancing.

I turned my head toward Jesaiah. “Is that your girl or something?”

“Don’t worry about her. You just focus on me,” he said as he turned me around and wrapped his arms around my waist, cupping my ass.

Before I could remove his hands, Beans grabbed me by my arm, pulling me away. “Samara, I get you’re trying to have fun, but it ain’t safe.”

I yanked my arm away. “Why? Because Dio’s going to be on your ass if I decide to have just an inch of fun? Huh?”

He pinched the bridge of his nose. “Samara—”

“Leave me alone!” I shouted as I pushed past him, went back to where everyone was, and sat down.

I was becoming so frustrated. I watched as Jesaiah and Beans exchanged words. Dio and I weren’t even together, he wasn’t even here, and still the nigga had a hold on what I did.
