VIVIANNA

Iwatched from my spot on the counter where Orion left me to set everything up for the shower, testing the water and scrounging around for towels. It had been nice to be able to truly laugh about something for a moment, but then the gloom of my reality crept back in.

Am I going to be like this forever?

It will take time and we will never be the same again, but no I don’t think it will be like this forever.

Reaching out I mentally hugged my wolf letting her know just how thankful I was that she’d stepped up to take care of us when I’d failed.

“Dearest, you didn’t fail. What happened to you is one of the worst things a person can go through, it makes sense that you would struggle all alone.” Orion interjected.

My gaze snapped over to him. “How did you know what I was thinking? I was talking to my wolf, wasn’t I?”

“Yes you were, but your wolf decided to share it with mine so that we could talk some sense into you. Don’t be upset with her, she might be more logical minded, but she is hurting too and isn’t sure how else to help you,” Orion answered as he cupped my face with his hand, shifting me so he was settled between my legs.

“I’m not going to ask you how I can help you, because I don’t think you know the answer to that.

Instead, I’m just going to be here for you to lean on, and when you get lost, we will be there to help you this time. ”

“I like the sound of that,” I whispered as I leaned in and kissed him, wrapping my arms around his neck.

Scooping me up, he carried me into the shower, never letting our kiss break until the steaming water pelted against my back.

I let out a sigh of contentment, this would be the first shower I’ve had since I left Kursar and I planned on living up every moment of it.

Orion let me slide down his front until I was on my own two feet before he grabbed the shampoo.

Leaning back, I let the water pour over me, washing away all the remnants of that facility and Dr. Faulk’s death that I might still be carrying.

Gently, Orion turned me around and started to scrub my scalp with his strong nimble fingers, making me groan in pleasure.

All too soon I was shifted to rinse out the soap before he started the process over with the conditioner.

This took a little longer since my hair was now down to my butt not having been able to cut it and the added hormones making it grow like a weed.

“Are you going to keep it this long?” Orion asked, pressing a kiss to my shoulder.

I peered back at him. “What do you think? I’ve always had it long so I could put it up...but this might be too long for me to manage.”

“I could see that, but what if I take care of it for you?” Orion countered.

I grinned at him. “You like it that much, hmm? We’ll see, I’m not making any promises.”

Orion gripped my waist and turned me so I was facing him and he started rinsing out my hair. “What if I can persuade you?”

He leaned down and licked up the side of my neck before he nipped at that sensitive spot behind my ear.

“I am more than willing to let you try,” I panted letting my nails trail down his chest, leaving red marks behind.

This caused him to snarl and his eye flickered black letting me know I had Okami’s attention as well. “Show me what you’ve got.” I whispered into his ear before I bit his earlobe.

Instantly, Orion’s eyes shifted to black as his hand came up and gripped me around the throat slamming me up against the shower wall.

His kiss was hard, needy, and biting as he pressed his body along mine.

With his free hand, he gripped my leg and lifted it so it was set up on the ledge of the tub.

Two fingers plunged into me thrusting and his thumb swirling around my clit as he got me ready to take him.

Once he was satisfied, he removed his fingers and replaced it with his cock and in one single thrust was balls deep grinning down at me as I gasped.

The hand around my throat was secure but I knew he wasn’t going to hurt me, even as it tightened just enough to make it harder to breathe.

Orion pounded into me, the sound of slapping skin echoing through the bathroom while his grip held back my cries.

This was everything I needed to keep me from falling back into the darkness of my brain.

The reminder that I had men who loved me, and I loved them, each of us willing to do whatever it took to meet each other’s needs.

At this moment, Okami needed to rule over me and I needed to give up control to someone else.

When he pulled out of me, I whimpered, missing his fullness as he spun me around, my body pressed into the glass door of the shower.

Jerking back, my hips slightly pulled me down on his length till my ass met his body and he resumed his punishing pace.

My breasts and hands were plastered to the glass along with my cheek as I rested my face against the coolness combating the fire building inside my body.

Reaching out he grabbed me by the chest and pulled me back against his body, a hand once again around my throat, his arm secure between my breasts and he panted in my ear.

“You are not broken, you are not a failure, you are mine and that is all that matters,” Okami snarled into my ear and timed his thrusts to his words ending it as I shattered around him with him following right behind.

“My love for you, dearest is not a simple thing, it’s been something in the making for four hundred years and I will never let you go no matter what battles we must face together.

” Orion added as I felt his body relaxing.

Opening my eyes, I found Darius leaning on the wall across from us with a hunger in his eyes.

“Enjoy the show?” I quipped as Orion slid out of me and started to take his own shower.

“My queen, watching you fall apart like that will always be something I want to watch, no matter which mate it’s with,” Darius winked, shocking me. He grabbed a towel off the counter and opened it for me as I stepped out. “I came to check on you and see if you were coming down for breakfast.”

“It seems I’ve worked up quite the appetite this morning,” I smiled tilting my head back and without hesitation he kissed my offered lips.

“Good to know, I’m sure none of us will have a problem volunteering for the job if it gets you to eat.”

Okay, who is this guy and where is grumpy controlling Darius? This is freaking me out.

What’s the saying... distance makes the heart grow fonder.

Yeah, that’s all well and good, but I don’t know if I like this version. Angry sex is kind of our thing after knocking him down a peg.

Just wait, I’m sure we’ll do something to piss him off.

This is very true...okay I’ll wait and see.

Without any other distractions, I was able to get dressed in some clothes that Darius brought up with him.

It was glorious to put on jeans and a sweater after hospital gowns and lounge wear, and to feel like a real human once more.

Darius took my hand and led me downstairs to the kitchen where the rest of my mates and the Crimson Feather pack sat.

I was impressed that they’d actually had a table big enough to fit everyone, but if this was a spot for the packs to meet it would make sense, werewolves loved to eat.

Tristan stood and pulled out a chair for me and I sank into it giving him a grateful smile as Bentley set a plate full of food in front of me.

My stomach growled its excitement at the spread before me, making everyone at the table smile as they continued to eat their meal.

“I’m glad to see you still on two legs, cachorro,” Maria said, giving me a wink. “Although I imagine from the sounds of it you must have been on all four at some point.”

My jaw fell open at her statement and to my shock I even blushed a little thinking how loud I must have been. I was used to us being in our own space with no one to hear us through the stone walls.

Koit started to laugh, but choked on whatever he was eating, so Rik helped him out by thumping him on the back a few times that were far harder than necessary. “Damn bro, you trying to kill me as you pretend to save me?”

“Not at all just offering a helping hand, if it rattled a brain cell loose more the better,” Rik answered with a scowl, gesturing with his head towards me not so subtly.

Koit’s gaze flicked over to me then back to Rik. “Right, got it.” He then turned his attention back to me. “Babe, I’m sorry I should not be encouraging this conversation even if she is speaking the truth.”

“Oh man, you are not getting lucky anytime soon after that,” Christian laughed, clapping his hands together like a little kid.

I turned to Neveah who seemed far more closed off than she had been earlier. “Neveah, I totally understand why you threaten your mate. Seems I might need to learn a thing or two from you on that. Have any good suggestions?”

“Whoa, not cool babe.” Koit cried looking to the others for help, but they just ignored him and kept eating. “I was all for you making new friends babe, but if this is what you use as your bonding, I’m out. We’re leaving and never letting the two of you near each other again.”

Neveah leaned her elbows on the table and grinned at me. “Sounds like we need to be besties for life now, doesn’t it?”

“I couldn’t agree more, bestie,” I answered, returning her grin as I stabbed at a sausage link then biting it in half, meeting Koit’s eyes.

The table burst into laughter while Koit muttered to himself and tucked into his food, ignoring us all.

It was nice to be around people, and for a few moments pretend that nothing was wrong as we enjoyed our meal.

The guys seemed to have made a new friend in Christian and it was fun to see him antagonize them and they gave it right back.

Luis and Maria sat at one end of the table talking quietly, already done with their meal but still wanting to be around.

It was the first time outside of my mates that I felt like I was really part of a pack and understood that this is how it was supposed to work.

I knew that when this was all over, and I could start to build my new life I would find a way to make sure this part of it.

“Alright, now that we have full bellies, downed at least one cup of coffee, it’s time to get down to business,” Christian announced and instantly the warmth in the room became more subdued as we switched gears.

Luis stood and walked over to a set of cabinets but instead of opening it like I expected he slid the whole thing over to reveal a safe.

Opening the safe, he grabbed a rolled long tube that looked like it held papers and a few other things, before he returned to the table.

Others of the pack grabbed our plates and set them in the sink to wash later so the table was clear.

Luis laid out the map that had been in the tube with a plastic layer over it that had markings and other notes written all over it.

Darius rose to his feet and walked over to get a better look at the map.

“Does Jason truly have this many facilities in Wyoming?” Darius asked as he scanned what was before him.

Luis looked at him with a grim face. “These are just the ones we know about, there could be who knows how many more hidden away.”

Curious, I moved to see what they were looking at and gasped at all the red dots marking any property or building that Jason owned.

“When he said that he had control over the whole state I didn’t believe him.

” Remembering what Dr. Faulk told me, I sought out the Bighorn National Forest, but there was no marker on the map. “Have you had anyone search this area?”

“Now why would you ask a thing like that, cachorro?” Maria inquired, tilting her head to the side watching me.

Squaring my shoulders, I met her gaze head on, she knew the answer to this question, yet for some reason she wanted me to explain it.

“When I tortured Dr. Faulk, he told me that Jason talked about how this was where his most secure bunker was. That if he kept my daughter hidden away that would be the best place to start looking.”
