VIVIANNA #2

“Yes, my wolf and I already are in agreement. That won’t be happening, no matter what comes our way,” I assured him.

“If this happens as fast as last time, I only have to hold off for six months or so, but that is based on having twins. I’m not sure how it will work if it’s a single baby this time.

Can I just say, that you’re all taking this really well. ”

Koit burst out laughing. “Oh, babe, you have no idea how much we are all freaking out right now. We’re going to have one daughter who is already born and another one on the way, before we can even wrap our heads around being dads.

Trust me, we are not okay, but I will say there are no better men in my life that I’d rather figure this out with. ”

My heart warmed at his response, and I understood how he felt.

“Don’t forget, that I was asleep throughout almost all of my pregnancy, so I have no idea how things are going to go this time around.

I’m excited to have something to look forward to after all this is over, and no matter where we end up, as long as we are together, our life will be a happy one. ”

After we finished our meals, we got back on the road and drove another hour to the ranch, with the fading sunlight giving everything a warm glow.

It was such a beautiful terrain of evergreens mixed with open sections of field and a river running through it.

With Arrow Ranch having thousands of acres, what we were seeing was just a taste.

I was a little sad that I couldn’t shift and explore it like my wolf and I ached to, but there would be time to come back another time to indulge.

The gravel drive wove its way deep into the front acreage of the property, with a main lodge with groups of cabins circling around it like the spokes of a wheel.

Spring was coming and I could see the new growth fighting its way out of the ground, ready to sprout.

Tristan drove us up right to the lodge that was two stories high and sprawled out, proving it could easily host the amount of people we had coming in.

The warm glow of the lights against the wood made it welcoming, as we grabbed our luggage out of the back and headed inside.

Koit snatched my suitcase out of my hands, giving me a look when I opened my mouth to argue with him.

Seeing there was no point, I smiled and shook my head, hustling after the rest of my mates who were being greeted by an older gentleman.

“Welcome, you have any trouble finding the place?” he asked, shaking hands with Rik.

“No, the directions you gave us were perfect.”

“Good, good,” he said with a smile as he turned to me.

“Dama, it is an honor to have you here in my home and on my ranch. It does my old heart good to know I can help in this fight, even if I can’t be in the thick of it.

Goodness me, where are my manners? I’m Graham Fey, owner of Arrow Ranch.

Been in my family for three generations and my son plans to take it over when I kick the bucket. ”

I reached out and took his extended hand, giving it a firm shake. “Thank you for providing us with the perfect place. It has to be one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Your family is blessed to have a strong history with this land.”

“The others said you were getting dinner, so why don’t I show you to your rooms. We have a large group coming in tomorrow, so no sense in burning the midnight oil tonight when you’ll just have to say it all over again.

” We followed Graham as he led us up to the second floor and down the long hallway.

“Right now, there are about a hundred people here in the lodge, with two hundred more coming by bus tomorrow. I’ve got room in this building for up to two hundred and fifty, so then I’ll start filling up the cabins.

I was going to put you lot in one, but then I felt like you’d want to be in the center of all of it.

Let me know though if I assumed wrong and you want your own space. ”

It was obvious that Graham wanted to be as helpful as possible, even down to trying to anticipate our needs.

The world needed more men like him—honest, sincere, and hardworking, taking pride in himself and what he does.

“Thank you, Graham, we will see how tomorrow turns out, but I have a feeling you’re right about us wanting to be close to the pulse of information.

Things are going to move fast once they start, and I fear sleep will be a luxury. ”

“Just say the word and I’ll have it done, Dama,” Graham said as he stopped in front of a door, handing each of us room keys.

“This is the bridal, honeymoon suite, if you will. It’s the largest space we have for you all to fit in one room, but I have the room next door set aside for you all as well.

Breakfast is served from six to ten, but you can get room service anytime until eleven p.m. If you really need something, then let me know and I’ll see it gets done.

We have someone on staff at the front desk twenty-four hours a day, so holler if you need anything. ”

“Appreciate it,” Rik said, clapping Graham on the back as the rest of us entered the room.

None of us wanted to work on what was to come, so instead we decided to all cuddle up on the bed and watch television, like the battle for our kind wasn’t looming in the background.
