Chapter 21 The Fight Breaks Out

In the blink of an eye.

Jing Can joined the fight too.

Even though I knew Jun Zhenxian was hiding his strength, my heart still tightened inexplicably.

“Who’s there!”

“What are you doing! Stop!”

The night patrol soldiers heard the noise and rushed over quickly.

Jun Zhenxian stopped.

Jing Xuan and Jing Can were panting heavily.

Jing Yu gave me a deep look before taking out his token.

After the soldiers left, Jun Zhenxian also left.

Before he went, he repeated once more, “Tomorrow I’ll come pick you up.”

Jing Xuan glared at Jun Zhenxian’s back. “Cui Qingyi, tomorrow I’ll go to Father Emperor and say I’ll accompany you to Jiangnan.”

I didn’t even need to reply.

Yingying arrived, grabbed Jing Xuan by the collar, and dragged him away.

Only Jing Yu and Jing Can were left.

Jing Can stared at me for a while. “I just heard you tell His Highness Jing Yu it’s a marriage arranged by General Cui. But are you willing?”

I answered without hesitation. “Yes.”

When Uncle Chen came to open the gate.

Jing Yu pulled Jing Can away too.

But not long after I entered the courtyard.

Jing Can crawled in through the dog hole.

I was so startled I almost drew my whip. “Your Highness Jing Can! Are you crazy!”

He stammered.

“Jiang Siwan told me she can make firearms. I married her for the blueprints in her hands.”

“Cui Qingyi, as long as you agree, I can…”

Agree my ass!

I pushed and shoved Jing Can back into the dog hole.

“Your Highness Jing Can, if you can come on my wedding day, I’ll treat you to the plum wine I brewed myself.”
