Fifteen

Jason

Daisy jumps off the table with a quickness that I don’t anticipate, my fingertips grazing her golden hair. I’m too slow. My cock throbs painfully in my jeans from her relentless teasing, at seeing her open and dripping…all for me.

“Daisy!” I bark, my eyes narrowing in exasperation.

My stepsister spins to face me, striding backward with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

“Catch me if you can,” she calls out, her voice dancing with challenge.

“But you probably won’t, since you’re slow and I’m just better.

” She sticks out her tongue, mocking me before blowing a playful raspberry.

Her sly grin dares me to prove her wrong. “I bet John could catch me.”

Scarlet fury erupts within me. My fists clench tight. I hate the way my friend’s name falls from her lips, warm and breathy. Daisy should only ever say my name.

“I wonder if he’s around here somewhere. My pussy hurts, and I need a big, strong man like John to help me,” she says, pouting and bratty. “I bet he has a fat cock that could split me in half.”

That does it.

I launch at Daisy, and hear her laughter ring out.

Our bodies collide and we tumble to the ground, cushioned by the blight’s decaying remains.

My nose crinkles. The monster smells sugary, almost like candy.

I don’t understand how something so rotten could smell so delicious.

Fuck, the acid must be messing with me. The blood and gore glow, entrails shifting in waves around us, making me want to thrust my hands into its open chest cavity and dive in.

Daisy squirms under me, and my knee glides across the slick surface. I capture her wrists in one hand, stretching them above her head so I can lower myself closer.

“That dirty little mouth of yours is begging to be punished.” I bite her earlobe, tugging it between my teeth. “You don’t need a guy like John.” I spit the name out like it’s venom, as if he’s my enemy rather than a friend. Jealousy rears its head. If Daisy wants John, I’ll have to kill him.

Daisy laughs, and the sound crawls under my skin. “Okay, tough guy, what do I need then?”

“A filthy fucking degenerate.” I thrust my knee between her legs, forcing her thighs apart, and she gasps. “I’m going to ruin you, until all you know is me.”

“Why? I thought you hated me.”

I laugh cruelly, covering the way my disguise is slipping. “I don’t need to love you to fuck you.” My lips dance along the side of her face, her body warm beneath mine.

The sound of muffled screams makes me look back, eyebrows creasing.

The tension between us snaps. “Did you hear that?” I ask, scanning for the source of the noise.

Every surface pulses, blocking my view, but then I catch sight of a strange, out of place shadow before it quickly darts away. A mystery to follow.

Daisy shifts underneath me, arching up to see what has caught my attention. I release her hands and rise, my heart thumping with anticipation. What’s over there? I turn to help Daisy to her feet, my gaze staying locked onto the spot I need to investigate.

My stepsister moves in the direction of the kitchen while I head toward the shadow pooling between the cupboard and the closed door.

The floor shifts beneath my feet, complex geometric patterns flowing onto the wood planks.

I pause by the door, scanning the corner.

An odd suspense lingers here like a breath held as secrets cling to the shadows.

In the corner, a solitary cupboard draws my gaze.

It looms, large enough to conceal anything.

Or anyone. The walls press inwards, the room becoming smaller and tighter.

I move closer to the menacing furniture and pull the handles.

The doors swing open with a rush.

A sudden yell makes me flinch. A blight scrambles out, lunging at me. I wrap my arms around the disgusting creature to keep it from escaping or harming Daisy.

“Oh no, you don’t,” I grunt out, my arms tightening around the blight. It continues to struggle against me. My muscles strain and I grit my teeth while I hold on to it. “Death is your only escape and you’re coming for slaughter.”

“Bring it to the table,” Daisy shouts.

The blight is strong, but my body hums with the power of our new God and it’s not much against my abilities or determination to keep Daisy safe. As my hands dig into its flesh, I puncture through the soft, decomposing skin and curl my fingers to hook it into place. The monster screeches.

With little effort, I heft the creature and toss it over my shoulder like it’s nothing but a sack of potatoes before hauling it to the table. I slam it down, a meal ready to be devoured. My grip tightens. The monster flails and kicks beneath me, but I hold it in place.

“Dinner is served.” I glance at Daisy, ready for her next move, and my mouth drops open before I smirk. She’s brandishing a bone saw, which she must have scavenged from the kitchen.

My eyes wander her soft curves and exposed thighs and now that I can freely admit it, Daisy looks fucking hot.

She’s going to carve up the monster in a tight dress, her ass exposed, and I’m going to try not to burst in my jeans.

It might be terrifying to anyone else, but for me, she’s a beautiful, twisted dream.

Daisy brings the saw down to the arm I’m pinning and without hesitation—almost as if she’s doing a mundane task like applying makeup—she starts sawing.

Colorful fluids splatter across our faces, rotten flesh tearing apart.

Yet it smells like anything but decay. I inhale deeply, letting the sweet scent flood my senses and send a rush of dopamine that tingles through every nerve.

Daisy continues cutting the muscle as I keep my grip on the blight firm.

A silly grin tugs at my lips while I watch, mesmerized by the rhythmic bounce of my stepsister’s breasts, where a rainbow seems to dance in vibrant arcs.

Time itself slows when her eyes find mine and she offers a gentle, secret smile meant only for me. Just before the unmistakable rasp of a blade biting into wood, Daisy leans in, pressing with purpose and at last—

Snap.

The arm thuds to the ground. Daisy swoops down, seizing it and raises it high, a victor’s prize. Blood in shades of orange, cerulean, and chartreuse spills across her skin, blossoming like ink swirling through water.

Lick it. Taste it.

My brow furrows as Daisy dumps the arm onto the table, then moves behind me, poised to remove the next one. The idea is strange, unsettling even, but it has wriggled deep into my mind. I know I must follow it. The voice wants me to, and I cannot deny our God.

The room melts into a swirling, psychedelic fog, my thoughts twisting into shapes I can see, and Daisy’s arm grazes mine while she bends closer.

The brief, accidental touch sends a sudden warmth to my chest and I let out a shaky breath.

I turn my head, expecting her to examine the limb, but instead she parts her lips and sinks her teeth in.

Her eyes flutter shut, and she moans like it’s addicting, orgasmic.

Daisy’s blonde hair tumbles into her eyes and I watch, captivated, as she swallows. Her tongue darts out, tracing her lips with a quiet intensity.

When Daisy’s gaze finds me, her eyes shimmer with a brighter blue, swirling as if something alive moves within them. A sensual glow seems to trace the edges of her skin. She has become divine.

Daisy leans over to cup my face, her luminous eyes locking onto mine, searching my soul before offering me a bite.

My brain stutters. The blights are repulsive and terrifying, but its sweet scent drifts up from the table and I want to taste it. Maybe their fucked-up appearance is just a clever trick, a disguise to keep us from daring to conquer them. Yet I hesitate, uncertain.

“Won’t we turn into them?” If we eat something diseased, could we become infected too?

“The voice spoke to me, and said it’ll make our gifts more powerful. The blights won’t be able to return. We can stop them and be safe. We just need to eat them.”

Daisy’s words ring with such certainty that I cannot help but believe her.

The God speaks to Daisy as well as me, and I know it would never mislead us.

My faith in both is unshakable. The mere thought of more power settles the matter, my heart pounding like a drum. I want more. I want to be unstoppable.

My sister must see my acceptance, my readiness to spiral deeper into madness by her side, because she passes me a chunk of meat.

Our fingertips graze as I take it from her hand, electricity racing up my arm and transforming into a buzz that ripples through my body.

Eating the monsters will transform us, free us from this flesh to become something more.

I lift the green, gooey flesh to my nose and inhale deeply. Its impossible sweetness engulfs my senses, and my mouth waters. A tremor runs through me. I crave it, I ache for it, I bite down. My teeth tear into the tender muscle.

I swallow, and a rush of juice floods my throat as if a ripe cherry has exploded inside me. I moan, my entire body rippling with pleasure.

“Fuck.” I continue to gnaw at the meat. Each bite transforms as I chew, bursting with juicy freshness, then melting into rich, sweet decadence. Through my heavy-lidded gaze, I see Daisy using the bone saw to carve up the blight’s remains.

The last piece of flesh that I hold passes through my lips and I hungrily lick my fingers, my tongue tracing every line of my palm, unwilling to let a single drop escape. Still, I want more. It’s not enough. I’ve had a bite and now I’m obsessed.

My gaze snaps to Daisy, our eyes reflecting a frenzied hunger. She now kneels on top of the table, her arms buried deep in the chest she split open.

She beckons me to join her, an invisible tether drawing us together.
