JASON
Grimwood Asylum
Two months later…
Snapping the surgical mask in place, I run my hands through my hair, smoothing it back.
Blood slicks the strands together in greasy clumps.
I step over the naked doctor, now unrecognizable with his skull caved in.
He deserved it though. A rumble stirs in my chest as I inhale the scent of metal filling the air, savoring it in the same way someone might enjoy wine.
The aroma drips down the back of my throat, and my tongue flicks out to catch more.
It tastes like destruction, like revenge.
My eyes glance to the wall coated in brain matter, streaks of red dripping down, and I take in my work of art.
“Very abstract.” I tilt my head, listening, as if I can hear someone asking me a question.
“How does it make me feel? Angry. I want to make more of these paintings. You made me into this monster.”
But this is what they get for keeping Daisy away from me.
I’m not locked away at Grimwood Asylum because I’m sane.
You’re mistaken, my child. They’ve trapped you because you are the sane one.
The one who sees the truth—the monsters, the voice interrupts.
A warped little laugh crawls out of me. “That’s right.
I’m crazy, doc. Or maybe I’m not. Should have kept a closer eye on me.
” With my stolen shoes, I kick my patient clothing over the dead man, making him look like a pile of discarded laundry.
By pretending to be this low life, I should have enough time to visit Daisy before someone realizes something is wrong.
I step out into the hallway and take a breath, looking up at the vaulted ceiling, knowing that as soon as I turn my head, the sterile white walls will press in.
I’m not claustrophobic or a pussy, but there’s always a weight that settles in my chest when I walk these halls.
Maybe it’s the narrow corridor filled with endless rows of metal doors, or the too-small, barred windows casting shadows instead of sunlight.
It doesn’t matter. I draw my shoulders back. I need to get back to Daisy.
The overhead fixture hums with a blinking pale-yellow light.
My footsteps loudly echo against the hollow slate flagstones while I follow signs to the Isolation Ward.
Eventually, the narrow corridor spills out into a wide rotunda dominated by a heavy oak nurses’ desk that’s surrounded by a ring of identical, iron-reinforced doors. Where are they keeping my Daisy?
Walking over to the nurses, my eyes scan their desk, spotting metal rings of keys. I shelve that useful information away for later.
“How can I help you, doctor?”
“Daisy Jones. Where is she?” I force my voice to become slower and raspier to mimic the doctors that visit me. They glance nervously at each other, before one points at a closed door, her hand trembling.
“She’s in there, sir. Cell ten.” My eyes drop to her name tag hanging from her light blue scrubs. June. “They had to put her in a straitjacket. She bit one of the workers, screaming that they were a monster.” June gulps thickly. “She’s dangerous.”
Behind my mask, I smile. That’s my girl. But doom settles in my chest. The blights are here to spread their infection. The asylum isn’t free from the poison. They learned what our God told us—that the seed planted in Daisy would be the one to end what we have started.
“Actually crazy,” June whispers and my smile disappears.
Maybe I should show her what crazy really is and sink my teeth into her neck, tearing out her jugular vein.
But then the guards would find me, and I wouldn’t be able to visit my stepsister, who has been locked away from me for weeks.
I need Daisy more than I need to prove a point.
“I can handle her. Make sure no one disturbs me while I do my checks. I don’t want anyone hurt if I get distracted.”
“Yes, sir.” They pass over a large iron key and my heart beats louder. I’m so close.
Spinning on my heel, I march toward the door with the arrogance that every one of the asylum doctors possesses. The key scrapes against the keyhole before opening with a metallic clunk. I drag the slide-bolt across and pull the door open, taking a step in. The door shuts behind me.
Darkness swallows every inch of the padded room, and my hands fumble against the wall, searching for the switch.
With a flick the light sputters to life, and I look around to find Daisy restrained and gagged.
My eyebrows crease, each breath becoming louder.
Harder. Her blonde hair hangs in tangled, brittle clumps around her face.
The color has faded from her cheeks until her skin nearly matches the asylum walls.
“Sweet girl. What have they done to you?”
At the sound of my voice, Daisy looks up, red rimming her eyes, and she snarls behind the linen gag.
It’s been weeks of separation, but as Nicky says, absence makes the cock grow fonder.
I’m surprised he hasn’t found a way to visit me yet, but he’s probably too busy pulling all the ladies from my infamy.
I hope I can see him soon. Longing pulls at my heart.
I miss my best friend. We’ve never gone this long being away from each other. I carefully tuck that thought away.
Slowly, I walk closer, and then let out a shaky breath. I hate what they’ve done to Daisy, but I can fix her. She needs me. We need to be together.
My eyes roam how her body is wrapped up like a little gift.
A white jacket binds her arms around her body and is fastened with metal buckles, but the grey patient pants hang baggy around her frame.
My balls tighten. I shouldn’t be so turned on, but I’m completely helpless against her, and all I’ve had is my fist for the past few weeks.
I’m dying without Daisy, and I think my cock might heal her too.
“I’ve missed you. Fuck, baby.”
She’s grunting and writhing against the floor, elbows shaking as she tries to push herself upright. I crouch beside her and rip the fabric from her mouth.
“I’m going to eat you,” Daisy screams.
I pull down my own mask, and watch her eyes widen. A smirk falls onto my lips. “The only thing you’ll be eating is my cock.”
“Jason?” Daisy’s face scrunches up into a sharp glare. “You asshole. I’ve been locked away for weeks and you weren’t here.” Her lips twist into a bratty pout. “You don’t actually love me. If you did, you would have been here sooner.”
My hand reaches out to cup her face, and she leans into my touch.
“I’m here. I’m sorry I took so long.” The house of horrors will need to be renamed the house of love, because on that fateful Halloween night, love is what I found within those walls.
I didn’t know it at the time, but I do now, and I haven’t been the same since.
“Were you too busy fucking someone else and forgot about me?”
A dark laugh rips itself from my chest. Two fingers dig into Daisy’s chin, and I force her to meet my gaze. “Is that what you truly think?”
Daisy sniffs, her eyes going glassy. “Yep.” She pops the p, attitude building in her tone. “Did you get bored of the other girl or guy and think, maybe I should see how Daisy is. It’s been a while? I’m surprised you didn’t wait long enough to check on me and come back to find me dead.”
I click my tongue and shake my head, disapproval lacing my features. Did she not know how much she consumed my thoughts and had become part of my soul? “Silly, silly girl. I think I’m going to fuck you hard until you remember a few things.” Daisy scoffs. “You don’t believe me?”
“My pussy is closed to Jason Jones. He can go back to whichever slut he was fucking and leave me alone.” She jerks her head to the side, nose tilted up.
With a growl, I cup between her thighs, her heat warming my hand through the fabric. “This pussy belongs to Jason Jones, and you’re his only slut.”
I tug at the sides of her pants and yank them down. Daisy’s back hits the floor with a thud and she groans. I pull the ugly grey sweats over her feet, throwing them behind me.
“I thought about you every hour, Daisy. It drove me insane how they kept us apart. It tortured me. I could never forget about you. I can’t breathe without you.” I tear off her underwear before pulling down my own pants.
Dropping to the floor, I kneel and slam Daisy onto my cock. She screams, unable to get away, her body restrained so perfectly.
“This is your punishment. You were the one who wanted me, baby, and now that you’ve got me,” I piston harder and deeper, “I’m never letting you go.”
Using the straps restraining her body, I yank Daisy upright, my forearm flexing, commanding her attention. Tears stream down her cheeks, a sob catching in her throat.
“You’re mine. You’re mine until forever, and then into the next life.
You’re never escaping me, Daisy. There is no one else that I want.
No one else that compares to you.” I continue to thrust into her, her warmth clamping down around my shaft.
“Tell me you understand. Or do I need to carve your name into my chest?”
“What, are you a goddamn poet now?”
By the way her eyes have brightened, I think I’ve eased some of the doubt swimming in her mind. I pull Daisy off my cock, dropping her back on the ground. She wiggles against the floor, groaning, her legs flailing.
“Jason,” she whines. “Let me out of this stupid jacket and fuck me.”
I laugh and grab her underwear. Daisy clamps her lips shut and shakes her head.
“I told you, this is your punishment.”
My fingers pinch her nose and I watch her squirm, face reddening until she finally relents, gasping for air. I shove her panties in her mouth.
“Perfect. Now you can listen to me.” Daisy makes angry noises behind the fabric, but I ignore her and I line myself up with her center. “Because what I say next, I need you to hear. I need you to understand.”
I slide back into Daisy’s heat, groaning before moving my hips faster. The sound of our skin slapping fills the room. My fingers grip her legs so I can drive deeper and harder into her. Her eyes roll back as I keep up an unrelenting pace.
“I fucking love you, Daisy Jones.” In an instant, her gaze snaps onto mine.
Heat curls at the base of my balls, everything tightening.
“I fucking love you so don’t ever think that I don’t,” I growl, struggling to hold on.
I barrel over the edge of pleasure, groaning, my body shaking against hers.
“You better understand now. You better understand that you’re mine. ”
