MYSTERIOUS COLLAPSE REVEALS HIDDEN TUNNELS AND VILLAIN LAIR

A massive, unexplained collapse has decimated the town of Rockhaven, reducing half the village to rubble. The catastrophic event also unearthed a network of hidden tunnels and what appears to be the ruins of an underground lair used by villains.
Around midnight three nights ago, a deafening rumble shook the earth as the ground gave way, swallowing over a dozen buildings on the town's south side. The violent quake left many residents buried in debris. When the dust settled, emergency crews discovered a maze of secret passageways and chambers beneath the rubble. Sinister objects recovered reveal these tunnels were used for dark purposes.
"There were torture devices, forbidden texts, and human remains scattered in the debris," Captain Rorik, head of the excavation effort, said. "This was clearly the lair of some vile group."
Though the culprits remain unknown, evidence suggests powerful magic was involved in the cataclysmic collapse. Explosive residues found nearby point to sabotage of load-bearing supports under the town.
While the cause remains under investigation, one thing is certain—a great evil lurked beneath the unsuspecting village above. What diabolical plots were hatched in those buried halls may never fully be known.
