Chapter 8

CHAPTER

EIGHT

KRAX

“The Boatyard,” Elsie exclaimed. “Why didn’t we check the sex clubs first? I feel like such an idiot.”

We’d walked over ten miles from where the portal crack opened here in Chicago. It seemed improbable that a blind tentacle could have made it this far without getting run over or chopped to pieces.

Hecto had been determined though, obviously. “Not your fault,” I told her, following the ache in my groin where Hecto was meant to attach. The fucker was resting like it hadn’t upended my entire life to get laid.

We walked up to the door, and a big bouncer eyed us tiredly. “Club’s closed. Come back tomorrow.”

Uko gave him a bright smile. “Thanks, but we left something inside. Something important.” He winked at the security guard who just glared.

“We don’t have a lost and found, buddy. Cleaning staff goes through and throws anything left behind in the trash.

It doesn’t matter if it’s your phone or your butt plug.

” He looked at his watch and the lightening sky.

“It’s trash day, and they arrive pretty early.

I wouldn’t go fishing around in the dumpster here for anything short of a suitcase with a million bucks inside, but I’ll be out front here, not around the back.

What you do in the back alley is your business. ”

Uko tipped his chin in thanks, and I muttered my own, “Thank you.” It would serve Hecto right if it got sent to the waste center, but I didn’t really want to go through the pain of my cock being put into an incinerator, so I ran toward the back alley.

There were four dumpsters, and Elsie looked at me.

“Do you know which one it’s in?”

I shook my head, but I knew it was here somewhere, napping. Fucking dick. “It’s definitely out here though.” I banged on the first dumpster. “Hecto! Wake the fuck up.”

It was too stuffed on whatever the fuck it did inside a sex club.

I almost didn’t want to know. I mean, in my long life, we’d done some wild things, so I was sure it wasn’t anything unusual, but I hated it doing it when I wasn’t there to monitor things.

It was still asleep, and I could hear the sound of a garbage truck in the distance.

“Damn it to Hell,” I grumbled and opened the first lid.

I jumped in, using my tentacles to wade through what smelled like old fish and felt even worse.

My tentacles protested, but fuck it. They should have tried harder to keep Hecto under control.

“You’ll think about this moment next time it wants to fucking sneak into the mortal realm,” I mumbled to them.

Headlights lit up the alleyway, and Ukobach swore. “You owe me one,” he yelled, flipping open the lid of another dumpster.

“Uko, wait, boost me in!” Elsie yelled over the sound of the truck.

“No freaking way. You’re in a dress and not wearing underwear. There’s no way you’re getting in a filthy dumpster,” Uko argued, and I had to agree. “Just keep a lookout, and if the driver makes it close, flash him your boobs and keep him distracted until we find Krax’s penis.”

“There’s a sentence I never thought I’d hear,” she muttered but played lookout. I vaulted into the next dumpster, and this one smelled better, but I still couldn’t find Hecto. My tentacles and I ripped open every bag and searched every box, but nothing.

“Guys! Hurry up, he’s only two dumpsters away!” Elsie yelled, and I climbed out of the one I was in and jumped into the next one, Uko right behind me.

We frantically tore through bags, and I touched things I didn’t want to think about too hard. This was taking too long.

“Lady, those are nice tits, but I’m on a timeline!” the truck driver yelled outside.

“I’ve got it!” Uko yelled, and I breathed a sigh of relief when he held my dick in the air above his head like a conqueror holding his prize aloft.

He tossed Hecto to me, and I tucked it under my arm.

I wasn’t even going to trust it with my other tentacles.

I was holding my cock for the foreseeable future.

We climbed out of the dumpster, and Uko sprinted over and hoisted Elsie over his shoulder, then we ran off into the night.

It wasn’t until we were around the corner that I realized we were all laughing.

Ukobach set Elsie back on her feet. She plucked toilet paper from Ukobach’s hair and threw it behind us.

“Normally, I would find a trash can and not litter, but ew.” She looked between us.

“You guys look disgusting. Come on, we’ll catch a rideshare home and run a bath.

” She screwed up her nose and flicked a condom from my shoulder. “A bath of bleach.”

Elsie didn’t let us touch anything until we were cleaned and scrubbed, shooing us both to the bathroom as soon as we entered the apartment. Ukobach sat on the sink as I showered, scrubbing Hecto who was finally awake, because Satan only knew where it’d been.

Do you know what problems you caused? You’re lucky we got the hunters on a good day. We could have died because of your selfishness.

Hecto didn’t respond, but I got the general impression it thought it was my selfishness that had gotten us into this position, and it was probably right. If I hadn’t starved us for so long, Hecto wouldn’t have done something so reckless.

As it reattached, making me whole once more, I sighed. You’re right. Sorry, Hecto. I’ll try to do better.

Moric curled up over my shoulder and around my neck. It knew I hadn’t done it maliciously, but because there was something missing inside me. I was lonely. Meaningless sex just made that loneliness even worse.

“So, when will you call the hunters to go back?” Ukobach asked lightly from where he sat outside the shower curtain.

Sighing, I scrubbed every crevice on my body, which was a lot when you had six tentacles, but dumpster juice was not something I wanted to carry around with me.

“Can’t wait to get rid of me, huh?” I replied lightly, but really, it hurt.

I didn’t blame him. If Elsie were mine, I would want my house guests gone so I could fuck her on every surface of this tiny apartment.

“The opposite, really. I’ve enjoyed having you here.

As strange as it seems, sometimes I miss Hell—not enough that I’d ever want to go back, because Elsie is my home now—but having you here is just nice.

It’s nice that I don’t have to wear my meat suit around you, and even nicer to talk to someone who just knows, you know? ”

I nodded, not that he could see it. I knew what he meant. Hell wasn’t something you could explain to a mortal, even one as understanding as Elsie.

Leaving the shower running, I climbed out and looked at him. “I understand loneliness, Ukobach.”

Uncaring that I was naked and dripping water on the floor, Uko squeezed my shoulder softly. “I know you do.” He looked down at my cock. “Hecto, you absolute monster, I forgot how big you are. Maybe we should introduce you to my girl before you leave.”

My cock undulated with excitement at the suggestion, like it hadn’t fucked itself into a coma not even four hours earlier. “Don’t encourage it. Hecto’s on my shit list.”
