“Emily, when did you find out?”
“After we got married, he said he couldn’t have children. I was devastated. He knew how much I wanted to have a large family. My sisters and I are very close… He was drinking, and then there were the pills. I didn’t know what to do. I begged him to get help.”
“But then…”
“It was December, and I wasn’t feeling well. I took a test… I was so happy. I thought it was going to fix him. Fix us… I’m sorry. I don’t know if I can do this.”
“Emily, what happened on March 5th?”
“… he left me alone, broken, and bleeding in an LA ER.”
“Was it Julian’s?”
“Yes. He was angry. I didn’t know what to do. That’s when I met Payton.”
