Chapter 61
MI’m confused. I’m cold. This entire fucking room is cold. And I’m only wearing my pants, some socks, and my long-sleeved shirt.
I hold up my hand to my head and start rubbing my temples.
Fuck, where am I?
Shivers are taking over and the numbness is slowly becoming a constant. My eyes open, and I see that I’m in a room with stone walls, stone floors, and no windows, with only a single light bulb hanging and swaying from side to side.
I’m also not chained to anything—just sitting down on a concrete floor. Why is it so fucking cold—
Ah, there it is.
Some vents are blowing cold air into the room, and I don’t see a way out of this fucking space. The door is probably locked, so I don’t even try to get up because I also can’t. My vision is a little bit blurred, my limbs are weaker, and I’m freezing my ass off.
Where am I? And what do they want? What do they want with me and—
“M, please, please, please.”
“Lana, no!”
“Lana. My Lana. My little hummingbird.” I’m repeating everything out loud so I can stay alert. I’m going to rain hell on earth for what they did. They took her away from me. They took away the sole reason I was still walking on earth.
The anticipation to incinerate everybody’s ass is simmering underneath my cold skin.
Just as I am about to stand up, the vents start blowing colder air. Fuck, I need to regulate my body heat, so I start walking around the room.
After what feels like hours, I start to get these headaches that are fucking with everything in my body.
I need to lie down. I need sleep. I need… I need…
