RA: Good morning, Miss Soto. You feeling okay? Need some water? Tea? Tissues?

DS: M’fine.

RA: You need anything you let me know, all right?

[no verbal response]

RA: Well, my name is Detective Ron Aydin. I’ll be leading the investigation into what happened to your friends. I just have a couple of questions for you.

DS: I already talked to someone.

RA: I’ll be taking over the case from the officer you spoke with at the scene. I just want to get a clearer picture of what happened. Dig a little deeper into the original report. Looks like the first person that was identified was… Kai Thompson. Wanna start with telling me what happened to him?

[no verbal response]

RA: All right. How about his sister… Kiki. Care to tell me more about her?

[no verbal response]

RA: Listen, Dina, I’m not the enemy here. I’m just trying to figure out the facts so we can get you home, all right? Don’t you want to go home?

[nearly five minutes of silence]

RA: You have to know this isn’t looking good for you. Cabin soaked in blood. Bodies all over the place. Only girl left standing is the daughter of a convicted murderer. The headlines are gonna be writing themselves, unless—

DS: [inaudible response]

RA: What was that?

DS: I didn’t do it.
