Epilogue

I follow daddy into the office Christmas party, feeling so happy.

The party is being held on the roof of the building and is decorated with all kinds of sparkly tinsel.

I squeeze his hand as David comes to greet us, and he squeezes my hand back before mouthing I love only you.

We’ve been working on my jealousy, and I’ve gotten a lot better at not feeling so worried people are trying to steal my daddy or that I’m not good enough for him.

But I still don’t like David and the way his eyes always linger on my daddy.

“How are you, Mr. Moore?” David greets before nodding at me, “Chase.”

“We’re good and very in love,” I answer, then ask because it’s the nice thing to do. “How are you?”

“I’m good. The new promotion is keeping me busy,” David answers, “and congrats. I heard you two are getting married.”

My daddy answers, “yes, we are.” He squeezes my hand. “We’re quite excited, but if you’ll excuse us, we’re going to get a drink.”

We say our goodbyes, and I follow my daddy to the bar where we both get a pop before moving to stand by the railing.

I watch him look around the party with a small smile, and I feel good that he smiles a lot more now.

He used to be very serious when I first met him and hardly ever laughed, so when you got him to it felt like a prize.

But over the last year, he smiles and laughs all the time because of me, and it still feels really special every time. I just love him so much.

I want to wrap myself around him, but he still doesn’t overly love PDA, especially at work, so I settle for holding his hand tightly.

I spot my dad and wave at him to get his attention.

After he notices me, he heads our way, and I’m happy Mr. Rodriguez doesn’t follow him.

Most of the office has stopped teasing me.

I think my daddy had something to do with it, but Mr. Rodriguez hasn’t.

I know he doesn’t mean to hurt my feelings, since he teases his own son the same way, but it still sucks sometimes.

I don’t want people thinking my daddy lowered his standards for me.

“How are you two doing?” My dad asks, coming to stand in front of us.

“We’re good, Paul,” my daddy answers.

I know my daddy’s about to ask him how he’s doing, but I can’t help blurting, “did you see JJ’s here?”

“Ya, I did,” he answers, looking behind him in the direction of where JJ is clearly flirting with two men. “You need to stop trying to set us up, especially since Megan and I have had a few good dates.”

“Boring dates,” I argue, “you said that. JJ’s not boring, and he said you’re handsome.” My dad wipes a hand down his chest, clearly enjoying that information. “You better get over there and interrupt, or he’s going to go home with them.”

“I shouldn’t,” he says, looking over at JJ, who’s throwing his head back laughing. “Or I should.” He takes off in the direction of JJ as he mutters, “what’s so goddamn funny?”

I laugh, watching him shove the man closest to JJ away, then block the other with his back.

At least JJ looks amused by my dad and immediately starts flirting with him, leaving the two other men to look at each other with annoyance, then leave.

I don’t get why my dad won’t just date him like he clearly wants to.

“Darling, you should stop trying to force it,” my daddy lightly scolds.

“But they like each other, daddy,” I say. “How long do we have to stay?”

He snorts, “we just got here.”

“I know, but you look so handsome and sexy,” I say. “Can I give more than one blowjob tonight?” He laughs, but I can tell he still has his worries. “Daddy, I’ll never get sick of making you cum. If I could, I would suck your cock every second.”

He shakes his head, “Chase.”

“It’s true,” I say, “I love everything about sucking you. It’s my favourite reward you give me.” He takes a sip of his pop, hiding his smile. “So, can we go home?”

He nods, “fine. Should we say goodbye to Paul?”

I look over at my dad, who’s glaring at the bartender as JJ and him wait for their drinks to be made. “No, daddy, he’s busy.”

He snorts, “jealousy runs in the family.”

“He’s worse than me,” I argue, “and I’ve gotten better, you said that.”

“You did,” he smiles at me, “you’re a very good boy.”

“I love you so much, daddy,” I say as we walk towards the elevator.

“I love you too, darling,” he says back.

I’m so happy everything worked out for me.
