12. Noah
NOAH
OCTOBER FLASHBACK
“Fuck, Teddy Bear. That was amazing.”
Her voice sounds raspy from how tightly the belt was wrapped around her throat. You can see the outline of the buckle welted into her perfectly pale skin. The moonlight shines through the frosted window, illuminating her body as she slides her skirt and crop top back on.
I almost killed her. The belt was so tight. Each thrust was closer to ending her life. But she’s not the end goal here. She was never my target. The innocent ones never are.
“You ready to go?” she asks as she drags her nails down my back.
Even through the shirt, I can feel each claw as if they’re leaving gouges along my spine.
“Almost. I just need my belt back.” I hold my hand out to her and the belt she has draped over her shoulder.
The leather did look good wrapped around her delicate throat. The image alone causes a pulse to thrum through my body straight to the tip of my cock. I physically came, but mentally, my demons are still demanding more.
She places the belt over my palm and takes a step back. Her fingers trace over the marks already starting to bruise.
“Can we still go get something to eat? I’m starving.”
“Of course, Princess.”
Not much longer.
When we emerge from Eloise Asylum, Marco is standing there at the bottom of the ramp with his arms crossed. The irritated look on his face morphs into a disgusted grimace as he sees the marks on Angela’s neck. His eyes narrow as he takes a few steps closer.
“Where the fuck were you two?” he growls as he grabs Angela’s arm and pulls her away from me. “Jesus Christ, Angie. What the fuck did he do to you?”
His fingers brush over a raised welt that looks suspiciously like the prong from my buckle. Oops.
“I’m fine, Marco. We just got a little…distracted.” She laughs like a schoolgirl in love as she looks up at me.
I try to return the smile, but it’s fake. It’s always fake, because she. Isn’t. Her.
Angela is oblivious, as always, as she returns to my side and grabs my arm to wrap it around her, but Marco can see it. He can see the way my smile doesn’t hit my eyes, barely lifting the corners of my mouth.
He was waiting for her to come out like a fucking puppy waiting for its owner to come home. Stupid little shit. He either needs to grow a pair and tell her how he feels or get over her.
“Noah?” Angela’s voice draws me out of the darkness.
“Yes, Princess?”
“Can we go? I want a burger.”
She takes one final glance at Marco before tugging me along and away from him. His eyes follow us. I can feel the fire from them burning into my back. The heat disperses the further we get away.
Poor, love-sick little puppy.
Don’t worry, Marco. You can have her back soon enough.
