Chapter 28 - Angela
When the phone rang, I hadn’t checked the name before I answered. I had simply woken up from another late night, with another hangover, rolled away from the most recent mistake, and clicked the green button.
“Hello.” I grumbled.
“Angela…” he said my name in his gruff voice, but tinged with relief.
“Ben?” I sat up and slapped a hand over my mouth to stifle the bile that flooded my throat.
“Where are you staying?” He demanded.
“Uh… I’m… What?” I stuttered. I quickly muted the phone and slapped my bedmate. “GET UP! You’ve gotta go. RIGHT NOW.” I hissed.
“Where are you staying.” He repeated, his tone had rapidly changed from relieved to frustrated.
“I’m in a little motel in some bumfuck town in Connecticut,” I responded and hurried into the bathroom with a final point at the door for the confused-looking man in my bed.
“Are you intentionally being stupid?” he snarled. “Give me an address, Angela.”
“W-what?” I was shocked by the venom in his voice, but quickly blurted out the name of the motel and the address.
“I’ll be there in an hour.” His tone left no room for discussion, and he ended the call without waiting for a reply.
An hour?! He flew here to surprise me?!
Not in my wildest dreams had I imagined Ben planning a surprise trip to see me. If anything, I thought he’d fly into New York and have me meet him there for a discreet hook-up. Coming here was risky.
There’s already a man in my bed…
The sound of a muffled grunt from the other room reminded me that this impromptu visit was risky for more than one reason.
“Seriously, you’ve gotta go!” I said as I yanked the bathroom door open and stumbled back into the room.
Chad, no Charlie… maybe Chance? He was on the floor with one shoe on and holding his other foot with a grimace on his handsome face.
“I hit my toe off the fucking bed frame.” He grumbled.
“Sorry…” I bounced on my toes and anxiously glanced around the room.
This place is disgusting.
That’s what you get when you put ‘do not disturb’ signs on the door for a week straight.
“Look, I don’t mean to be a bitch but… my, sort-of boyfriend is on his way here from the airport and I really want to avoid the scene that will happen if you’re here still…”
He raised his eyebrows, alarmed, and surged to his feet.
“Boyfriend?!” His tone was incredulous.
I bristled at the judgment from a total stranger and gave him a dirty look.
“We aren’t exclusive.” I snapped. “It doesn’t matter; I just need you to stop crying over your toe and go!”
“Don’t worry, I’m outta here.” He rolled his eyes and finished getting dressed, and with one last disgusted look, slammed the door behind him.
I hurried to the phone and called the main office.
“I need housekeeping, right now.” I demanded. “I have company coming in less than an hour and I need new sheets, towels, and the trash removed.”
“You’ll have to do it yourself, but I’ll drop off the supplies.” The man on the other end had a nasally, grating voice, “Do you need more than one set? The rate your visitors seem to come and go I’m surprised you haven’t asked for new sheets before now.”
“Excuse me!” I gasped.
“This place might not be the Ritz, but it ain’t one of those by the hour places either…” He continued.
“Could you just bring the sheets and towels…” I choked out before slamming the phone back into the receiver.
I’d had enough with being judged by strangers for one day.

I had just finished putting on my makeup when I heard three forceful knocks on the door.
“Coming!” I called out and took a final glance around the tidied room. It needed to be vacuumed and had a strange smell, but it looked better than it had. I pasted on a big smile and flung the door open.
“I’ve missed you!” I said shyly as Ben stepped into the room and looked around with narrowed eyes. I shut the door behind him and wrapped my arms around his neck.
His eyes finally met mine as he stiffened in my arms. I pulled back and tilted my head.
“What’s wrong?”
He forced himself to relax and lightly placed a hand on my lower back.
“Long flight.” He murmured and finally lowered his head to kiss me.
I wanted to ask more, but had missed the feeling of his lips on mine too much to break the kiss. A growl tore from his throat when I deepened the kiss, and his hand fisted my hair. He yanked my head back and dropped his teeth into my neck.
I squeaked when he nipped hard enough to sting, but didn’t pull away. He was ravenous, like a wild animal, as he tore at my shirt and mumbled indiscernible words against my skin.
“I need you.” He groaned and pushed me back onto the bed. He stared down at my torn shirt and messy hair with frantic eyes.
“You can have me.” I whispered and slid to my knees.
He sucked in a shaky breath and let his head fall backwards when I reached for his buckle.
I wasn’t surprised to find him already hard as I slid one hand up the front of his slacks to join the other at the belt.
I worked quickly to release him and smiled at the noises he made when I slid his pants and boxers down his legs.
I grasped his cock with one hand in a tight grip and lightly licked the drop of precum that had formed on the tip.
His hips jerked forward, and I giggled. He scowled down at me.
“Don’t fucking tease.” He growled and fisted my hair again.
I loved it when he took charge and gave a content sigh when he slapped my hand away from him and took his length into his own hand for a few harsh tugs. I watched him run his large hand up and down himself and licked my lips.
“You want it?” He swiped the tip across my lips and left a tiny trail of cum on them. “Beg for it.” He rumbled.
Despite having just had sex a few hours before, I felt my panties get wet at his words.
“Please Ben.” I moaned, desperation leaking into my voice as my core heated up. “Fuck my mouth and then fuck me.”
He tapped the tip against my pouty lips, and I moaned as he slid into my mouth slowly. He released himself and cupped my cheek gently when his tip hit the back of my throat. I blinked up at him as my eyes welled with tears and found his face had relaxed, and there was warmth in his eyes.
“Good girl.” He murmured and stroked my cheek once with his thumb. “Ready?”
I nodded around his length and moaned. The vibrations caused him to growl, and he used both hands to fist my hair. I tried to relax my throat and dropped my jaw a little more in preparation for what was about to happen.
Ben fucked like a god. A malevolent god—but a god, nonetheless.

An hour later, we were both sprawled on the bed in a sweaty mess, satisfied and gasping for air.
“That was amazing.” I purred and rolled to face him. He grunted and we both drifted off to sleep.
When I woke up a little while later on his chest, I felt a sleepy smile spread across my face.
I looked up at him through my lashes and noted the dark bags under his eyes and the stress lines on his handsome face. As if he could feel my probing stare, he cracked one eye and peered down at me.
“What?” His voice was gruff from exhaustion.
“I missed you.” I whispered and stretched up to give him another kiss. He pressed his lips against mine in a lazy kiss and then turned his head back to look at the ceiling and draped an arm over his eyes.
“Melanie filled for divorce.” He said in a flat tone.
“Oh?” I said cautiously.
“I don’t think I’m going to be able to change her mind.” His voice cracked as he attempted to keep his emotions under control. “Her grandmother knew I had fucked up… she left me letters—”
“She knew about us?” I gasped.
“No.” he tensed.
“Oh.” I deflated.
So, there were others.
“There were some one-night stands before you…” He admitted.
“Never more than one night?” The idea that I had been different than his other affairs made me feel better.
“Never more than one visit.”
“Why?” I chewed on my lip, “Why do you care if she divorces you?”
He removed his arm and turned his angry eyes towards me. Gone was the warmth from earlier, and in its place was a raging fire.
“Like I told you, I love my wife. None of the affairs ever meant anything to me… She just-” He groaned and shrugged me off his shoulder so he could sit up. “She won’t let me fix it. She won’t even hear me out.”
I slowly sat up and leaned against the headboard with him. I contemplated his words and tried to keep the hurt out of my voice.
“As a woman, I don’t know what you could say that would make it okay.” I admitted. “I believe you that you love her— in your own way… but I’m not sure if that’s enough if you’re able to still hurt her.”
“I didn’t think she’d ever find out.” He admitted, “If you hadn’t come to the house she probably wouldn’t have.” He glared at me again, and I looked away.
“Why are you here?” I forced myself to ask in a flat voice.
“I panicked and didn’t know where else to go.” He confessed. “I couldn’t go back to an empty house.”
“So, you flew across the country?” I scoffed. “Just to fuck me and blame me for your problems?”
“You are to blame.” He snapped.
“I didn’t make or break any vows.” I sneered. “I didn’t make you cheat on your wife and I sure as fuck didn’t force you to fuck me in your hot tub.”
He jumped out of the bed and jerked on his pants with a thunderous expression on his face.
“This was a fucking mistake.” He muttered.
“Apparently, all you ever do is make fucking mistakes.” I slid out of the bed and wrapped my robe around myself like armor. I watched him dress himself with crossed arms. “You realize I love you, right?”
He froze, and when he raised his head to look at me, the disgust on his face nearly shattered me.
“And you realize I don’t, right?” he deadpanned.
“Right.” I narrowed my eyes, “Well, thanks for the fuck. Have a nice flight home.” I spun around and walked into the bathroom. Unwilling to give him the satisfaction of seeing how much his words had hurt.
