Chapter 14

It had been raining all day, so London and I decided to stay in the house.

We played with Paris, and I worked on teaching her body parts as London did a few things around the house.

After Paris tired out and had something to eat, she went down for a nap.

London and I were on the couch when Paris started crying.

“I’ll get her,” I told London as I stood from the couch. I wanted her to relax because she deserved it, and I was capable of seeing what was wrong with Paris.

“Okay.” London yawned.

The weather made us both sleepy, and I noticed London had dozed off.

Paris’s cries picked up as I walked up the steps.

“What’s the matter, princess?” I asked as I picked her up.

Her body felt warmer than normal, and I got a little concerned when I felt her forehead and it was hot.

I thought maybe it was because her mother liked to keep the heat on hell, but that wasn’t the case. This was different.

Her eyes were watery, and her face had gotten red as she continued to cry.

I kissed her cheeks, then carried her over to the changing table. Her cries had died down as I placed her on the table.

Before I alerted London, I changed Paris because her diaper was wet. I used one of the wipes to wipe her down since she was a little clammy. After she was cleaned up and dressed in another onesie, I sat down in the rocking chair with her.

“Princess, you know daddy don’t like it when you cry. Are you okay now?” I rubbed her back when she dropped her head on my chest.

“Is she okay?” London asked from the doorway of Paris’s room.

I knew she would make her way to the room.

“I’m not sure. I cleaned her up, but she feels warmer than usual.” I rocked in the chair as I continued to rub her back. “I’m surprised it took you this long to come up here,” I teased as London entered the room.

“Hush. I knew you had it covered, but it was a little too quiet.”

London stood next to the chair in pajama shorts with long socks that came up to her thighs, with a T-shirt to match. She looked good as hell, and as soon as our princess was taken care of, I would have loved to be in between her thighs again.

“Let me take her temperature. She might have another tooth coming in.”

London left the room before I could respond. Paris had fallen asleep, and I hated that we would have to wake her up again, but we needed to check her temperature.

A minute later, London entered the room and took Paris from my chest. My baby squirmed and whined, but it didn’t last long once London put her on the changing table.

Once London had her undressed, it didn’t take long for her to cry again.

“Is it necessary to put that in her butt?” I asked London. I felt the frown on my face because I didn’t want my baby to be in any pain.

“Unfortunately, yes. It’s the most accurate reading.”

Paris grabbed my fingers as she cried her little heart out.

“I’m sorry.” London apologized to Paris, but little baby wasn’t trying to hear it.

It wasn’t like she understood it anyway.

Once London was finished, she redressed Paris and picked her up.

“Her temp is a little elevated. I’m going to give her some medicine and see if she wants some milk. She had some earlier, but I want to make sure she doesn’t get dehydrated.”

“Okay. I’ll hold her while you get the medicine.” I took Paris from London, then walked around the room until she came back.

I figured she’d want to sit in the chair while she fed Paris.

It took at least a half hour for Paris to take the medicine, drink a little milk, and go back to sleep.

I went downstairs while London went into her room for something. Twenty minutes or so of me watching sports highlights, London came downstairs.

“I decided to stay in there for a little bit to make sure she didn’t wake up,” London said as she sat next to me on the couch.

She curled up next to me, and I put my arm around her.

“I figured as much. Has she gotten sick before?” I asked.

“She had an ear infection when she was younger. Any other time she had a fever, it was because a tooth was coming in. As long as the fever stays down and she’s back to her normal self, we won’t worry. If not, I’ll call her doctor.”

“Okay.”

I was worried about Paris, but London assured me she would be okay. She knew better than I did, so I had to take her word for it.

“I wonder when this rain is going to let up,” London said after a few minutes.

“I think it’s supposed to rain all day.”

She yawned and stretched. The television was on some movie that was so stupid but interesting.

“Good. I don’t want to go outside anyway.”

“Who said we had to?” I looked down at her and asked. I wasn’t in the mood to go outside either, so I was content with staying on the couch all day. As long as I got to spend time with her and Paris, I was good.

“Nobody.” She giggled. “What excites you the most about being in a relationship?”

I thought about her question for a second.

“This.”

“Elaborate, Genesis.”

I rubbed my hand over her butt when she put her legs on the couch and tucked them behind her as she lay against me. The position she was in made the bottom of her butt cheeks show since her shorts were so short.

“Having these peaceful moments with you. Being able to talk to you about my day and listening to you talk about yours. Being able to hug and kiss on you.” I kissed her shoulder. “And fucking you, of course,” I teased. “I just like being in your space. What about you?”

She maneuvered so she was looking up at me. Her hand found its way to the side of my face, and I closed my eyes for a second.

“The same, to be real. For so long I had been single that sometimes I forgot what it was like. I like feeling like we are building a solid friendship that could lead to a relationship. I feel like you would protect me, and not just physically. I feel like you would protect my heart as well.”

“There’s no doubt in my mind that I would,” I told her. “And I think we are building toward something special as well.” This time, I leaned down and kissed her lips.

The kiss ended up getting passionate, and the next thing I knew, I had London pinned to the couch while I ate her pussy. We had to take advantage of Paris sleeping, and I wasn’t one to blow my opportunities.
