Chapter 16
Some months later
Renting a bigger place had turned out to be a waste of money.
I spent majority of my time at London’s house when I wasn’t working.
I thought she and Paris would have come to my house, but it just made more sense for me to go to them.
I wanted to make London’s life as easy as possible, and having her pack stuff for them would have been too much.
Paris was much more comfortable at home anyway, and that was most important to me.
I never would have imagined I’d be a family man, but I loved it. I loved them both, and I was ready to settle down with London. She and Paris had really changed my life. If I wasn’t at work, I was at London’s, except the one day a week I played basketball with my friends.
Our friends and families had met and meshed well when we had Paris’s first birthday.
London had gone all out, and everything was Paris themed.
My princess wouldn’t remember it, but that didn’t matter to London.
She said she only turned one once, and she wanted to give her a party.
We did have some people from out of town come to the party, and she invited a couple of the doctors and kids from the hospital she worked at.
All in all, it was a good time, and my baby would never have to feel unloved because of all the people she was surrounded by. London truly had a tribe before I came around, and it grew with the addition of my parents and my friends.
It had only been a few months, but I was ready to fully lock London down. Paris had gone to London’s parents’ house for the weekend, and we had gone to the Bishop Sunrise Hotel for a little staycation.
“I love it here,” London mentioned as we walked to the front desk.
“They have amazing views.” I held her hand, while the concierge person had our luggage on a cart behind us.
“Welcome to the Bishop Sunrise Hotel.”
“Koda, you can skip the formalities,” I joked with the owner of the hotel.
I had known Koda and his siblings for years. We weren’t exactly friends, but every once in a while, he would shoot hoops with us. Sometimes his brother came, too, but he was the police chief, so he was busy a lot.
“I’m being professional.” He smirked. “What’s good, though? I missed y’all last week. I had to handle some shit here.”
“I feel you. You know we’ll be there next week. Vincent and Devin might be there this weekend, though. As for me, I’m off the grid.” I glanced over at London, then back to Koda. “This is my lady and baby mama, London.”
London hit me on the shoulder because she hated when I called her my baby mama.
She rolled her eyes, then spoke to Koda. “It’s nice to meet you.”
“You as well. I have y’all set up for the penthouse suite.
Make sure you take advantage of all our amenities.
” He handed us the keys to the room. “And don’t forget to check out the sunrise.
If you two need anything, don’t hesitate to call the front desk.
If anybody gives you any problems, call me, G. ”
“I’m sure we’ll be good, but okay.”
The hotel had never gotten any legit bad reviews, so I wasn’t worried about anything.
The few bad reviews they did get were some people on some bullshit.
Every single staff member was on their shit, and Koda didn’t play that shit if they weren’t.
For the cost of the rooms, they had to offer top-notch service.
I took the cart from the guy and led London to the elevators.
“I never stayed in the penthouse suite,” London said as she pressed the PH button.
“Good. I would hate to know that you came here with another dude.” I kissed her cheek.
“Have you ever brought another female here?”
She put her hands on her hips, and I chuckled. Her hips had spread from having Paris. London and I might not have spent a lot of time together that first night, but I committed every curve of her body to my memory in that short amount of time.
“I wouldn’t even play with you like that.”
I didn’t believe in doing the same thing as you did in the past. I knew some things were inevitable, but if I could help it, London and I would experience new things together.
When we arrived on our floor, the elevator opened directly into our room. We had the only keys except for the emergency key at the front desk, but nobody would come to our room without notifying us first.
“This is amazing.” London’s eyes brightened as she stepped into the room.
Straight ahead was the sitting area, and behind one of the couches was a floor-to-ceiling window that gave a perfect view of the water. I wanted to go outside in the morning for the sunrise, but we could see it perfectly from our room.
I walked up behind her as she looked out the window. I pulled her into me and kissed her temple.
“You are amazing, baby. I know I’ve told you before, but I really appreciate you giving me Paris and allowing me to be part of her life. And also for giving us a chance. I love you, London.”
She turned and wrapped her arms around my neck. “I love you too, Genesis.” She stood on her tiptoes and initiated a kiss that I had to stop before we didn’t make it out of the room, and I had plans for us.
“As much as I want to stay in here and fuck you senseless, we have things to do.” I released her from my hold and put space between us. I had to calm my dick down before we left.
“Oh, we going outside.” She clapped. “Let me freshen up real quick because you got my panties wet.” She walked to the door where our bags were, and grabbed a small one, then headed into the bathroom.
While she did that, I took the rest of the bags into the bedroom.
I made sure the thing I had to give her was tucked away where she wouldn’t find it.
Her organizing ass would take the stuff out our bags and put them in the drawers or hang them up.
I was nervous about how the weekend would go, but I was confident in my decision.
I sat on the chair and thought about how much things had changed over the last few months. Shit was great, and I had not one complaint.
“I’m ready.”
I stood when London came from the back of the suite. I walked toward her and grabbed her hand.
“So damn gorgeous.” I kissed her lips.
Sometimes I found myself staring at London because she was so damn fine.
It didn’t matter when she freaked out because she had a pimple when her period was coming; she was still beautiful.
She would fuss when her breasts leaked, but I loved that shit.
Sometimes I drank some just to be drinking it.
Paris wasn’t completely weaned off, but she drank less than she had been.
“Thank you, handsome.” She ran her hand over my waves.
We held hands as we headed toward the elevator. The whole way to the lobby, we couldn’t keep our hands off each other.
“It’s nice out, and where we are going isn’t that far, so are you okay with walking?” I asked when we reached the lobby.
“Yes, as long as you carry me if I get tired.”
I chuckled. “Of course. I will carry you wherever you want me to.”
We walked out of the hotel and headed to our first destination. There was a library that also sold books down the street from the hotel, so we stopped there first.
“The library?” London asked when we reached the door.
“Not just a library. They sell books here, and I heard they have a small café that sells that lavender tea that we had at the flower farm.”
I opened the door and let London enter first. Her eyes darted all over the place because there were so many books. I already knew I was going to blow a bag in here just on books. Not to mention they had different book-related merchandise.
“Hello, and welcome. My name is Malaysia. Let me know if you guys need anything.” We were greeted when we got closer to the front desk.
“Thanks,” I told her.
London dragged me all over the place, picking up books for her and a few for Paris. She even picked up a few tote bags, shirts, and bookmarks. She said something about some inserts, but I didn’t know what they were. I just knew she threw some in the basket that had become increasingly heavy.
“I hope you have some of them nasty books,” I said as I wiggled my eyebrows at her.
She laughed and whispered, “I do, and I can’t wait to read one to you later.”
My dick immediately bricked up.
Once she had everything she wanted, we went to the front where Malaysia checked us out and said that someone could deliver the stuff to our hotel if we wanted to.
Since we still had some other things to do, I told her that would be fine, and I gave her extra money even though it wasn’t required.
I spent enough money that the delivery service was free, but I had to tip the person.
“That’s cool that they have delivery service because that was a lot of stuff,” London said as we exited the library.
“Shit, who you telling. You deserve it, though.”
London had her own money, so she never asked me for anything. Anything I got for her was because I wanted to buy it.
“Thank you.”
“Anytime, baby.” We shared a quick kiss, then continued on the rest of our date.
I’d woken up at the ass crack of dawn to get ready for what I had planned for London. I moved around the penthouse quietly because I didn’t want to wake her up too soon.
After we left the library, we went to dinner and walked near the water, where we talked about a lot of shit.
We discussed things we expected from each other and addressed any complaints and concerns we might have had.
It hadn’t been that long, so we didn’t have any issues, but we made sure we both understood that we could talk to each other when something arose.
I fucked her good once we got back to the hotel, then again in the middle of the night. I knew she would be sleeping for a while, because I was dog tired, but I had to see my plan through.
Once I had everything prepared, I woke London up with soft kisses to her face.
“Wake up for me, mama.”
“I don’t want to.” She whined as she put the pillow over her face.
I sat on the side of the bed and removed the pillow.
“Please, baby. I promise you can go back to sleep in a little bit. I really want you to see something.”
She groaned, but she got up. I got her shoes for her and something to throw on while she went to the bathroom. She probably would kill me when she found out where we were going and why and she wouldn’t be dressed appropriately, but I didn’t want to run the risk of missing the sunrise.
“The sun isn’t even out, Genesis. Why am I up?” London fussed when she came out of the bathroom.
“Because it’s important. It won’t take long, and we can do whatever you want to do once we get back.” I handed her the clothes in my hand.
“Get back?” She screeched.
“Yes. We are just going near the water.”
She was in the middle of pulling the shirt over her head when she glared at me. She didn’t know that while she was mad at me for waking her up, I was a nervous wreck.
“I swear, if you try to toss me in the water, I will haunt you for the rest of your life.”
“Nobody is going to toss you in the water.”
It took a minute for her to put her clothes on, but she complied, and we headed downstairs. The whole ride down, London rested her head on the elevator wall. My baby was tired, and I would make sure she got some sleep as soon as we were done.
I led London outside and down the ramp to the sand near the water.
She stopped when she saw what I had done.
“Genesis, what is this?”
I had laid out a blanket with orange juice in glasses since it was too early to drink. I didn’t plan for us to be out here too long, so I didn’t have anything else.
I grabbed her hand and helped her sit on the blanket.
“I wanted us to watch the sunrise together,” I told her as I sat next to her.
“Genesis.”
I placed a kiss on her cheek, then slid behind her. I wrapped my arms around her and held her close.
A few minutes later, the sun had begun to rise. My chin rested on London’s shoulder as we watched the sky change multiple colors.
Before it fully rose, I removed my arms and took the box out of my pocket. London looked at me with confusion in her eyes as I moved in front of her.
“What are you doing?”
I got on one knee and grabbed her hand.
“London, when we met that night, I felt something I had never felt before. I thought things would have been one and done, but that wasn’t the case.
I love you and appreciate you so much for being a constant light in my life.
Not only do I want to change Paris’s last name, but I also want to change yours too.
” London gasped when I opened the box. “London Daniels, will you marry me?”
Tears streamed down her face as she nodded. After a few seconds passed, she said, “Yes!” She launched herself at me, and we fell backward onto the blanket.
“You really want to be my wife?” I asked as I rubbed her ass in the sleep shorts she wore.
The box with the ring had fallen next to us, but we had time for that.
“I do. You make me so happy, Genesis, and I love the way you stepped up for me and Paris. It would be my honor to be your wife.” She leaned down and kissed me.
Our kiss turned into more, and before I knew it, she pulled my dick out and pushed her shorts to the side before she slid my dick inside of her.
I made love to my fiancée, my forever, right there on the beach.
I would never have imagined my life would turn out the way it did the night I met London. It took us a minute to find each other again, but it happened at the time it was supposed to.
