Chapter 34 #2
The wardens have been summoned from across the kingdom to participate in a New Year’s party, one that the king and queen have promised will prepare the courtesans for our news by spoiling them with hedonism.
Wine is ordered for transport, livestock is butchered, and the bread ovens start cooking in earnest. Though the warden in the farthest reaches of the kingdom has declined the invitation due to sickliness, all the others have chosen to embark for the party.
When the sun sets and the candles are lit, the revelry begins.
The king and queen travel together among their guests, and I trail behind them, watching with pleasure as Vizarios’s tail twines around his wife’s ankles.
Vizarios makes a point of introducing each of the wardens to me, as if I am somehow significant, and each of them looks politely befuddled by it.
“How goes the creating of an heir?” Kalara says, one of the oldest wardens, a wrinkled dragon with a toothy smile.
Vizarios sputters for a moment, but Nissia places a hand on his arm to calm him.
“Quite well. I think we will have news soon.” She turns to me and winks.
“Oh? That will do well, I think, if you told everyone tonight.”
“Don’t worry. We have news for tonight.” Even from behind, I can see Nissia’s smirk. “I hope you enjoy the show.”
Even Kalara appears puzzled as the two move on. They flit from place to place, making small talk with every warden before returning to their own seats.
While dinner is being served, a troupe comes out to perform a lovely, heart-wrenching play. Everyone is riveted as they eat, and copious wine is passed around. After dinner comes dessert, and then, when the actors have cleared away their backdrops, Vizarios takes the stage.
“Everyone,” he calls out, “I know you came here for a party. And it’s one that I hope you’ve enjoyed so far.”
Tails all around the ballroom are thumping in agreement.
“Good! Though I do ask for one thing in return.”
“What’s that?” someone calls out, who must be a tad drunk.
“I will need your attention for a very important event.”
The queen takes his side, and more tails thump. She has become quite popular tonight, as charming as she is. They turn to face the audience.
“It has come to our attention that there are rumors circulating about us,” Nissia begins. “And I’m here to assure you that... all of those rumors are true.”
I cringe when many in the crowd gasp, and guests start murmuring to one another.
“Captain Ragnakor, if you would?” Vizarios asks.
I step up onto the stage, and the king and queen draw me in to stand between them.
“Thank you for all you have done to aid us in finding our happiness. But our true happiness, as king and queen of this realm, would be to share that with you.”
A hushed murmur spreads across the assembly.
“We aren’t whole without you,” Nissia says, running her hand down my chest. “You are our third star.”
My throat closes at the warm sincerity in her brown eyes.
“We would like to formally offer you the position of Royal Consort,” Vizarios says.
More hushed exclamations. I try to ignore them as I bow my head. I hope we are not making a grievous error.
“I accept.”
Nissia and Vizarios each take one of my hands.
“Thank you for completing us,” the king says, his voice echoing on the walls. “I now proclaim you a member of the royal family.”
At first, only Kalara stands up. She thumps her tail, the sole noise in the huge, silent ballroom.
“I wish you happiness!” she calls out.
Another warden stands up, and then another. They all clap awkwardly, and then some more join in.
That is good enough for me.
“Thank you for your time,” Vizarios says to the crowd, wrapping one arm around my waist. “We will save you from performing yet another ceremony”—he raises an eyebrow at his wife—“but should any of you be inclined, we welcome you to join us in our room tonight.”
A big, heavy dragon bellows out a laugh, and a few others do, too.
When we step down again and a group of musicians take over, a few of the wardens greet us, asking quietly for answers.
Nissia easily diverts it and starts talking about her plan to bring in new workers, using her power as the human king’s daughter.
She expects to see results within a few years, and she’s so confident and well-reasoned that they are soon nodding along.
After seeing to all the guests, only a few skeptical remain, but Vizarios does not appear perturbed. It is Kalara who approaches us as the night winds down, slapping the king boldly on the back.
“So you came around to your queen,” she says with a wry smile. “I’m glad you saw what we did.” Her brow arches as she turns to me. “And I assume you’re to blame for that?”
I open my mouth, not sure what to say, when Nissia rescues me.
“He is. Wise and strong,” she pronounces, reaching down to boldly squeeze my ass. “Exactly what we needed.”
Amused, Kalara sips her wine and says goodnight. At last, we can leave, because I want nothing more than to be done with all this.
Back in our room, I will show my king and queen what they mean to me, what their public pronouncement of our bond made me feel.
So I work each of them up, showing every facet of my heart.
Soon, Nissia sits astride Vizarios, facing away from him, his cock fully sheathed in her.
I massage her breasts, plucking her nipples as I nurse her closer and closer to her orgasm with my fingers.
“Fuck, Nissia, you get so tight when he does that,” Vizarios moans, his hips snapping up faster and faster. “Papa, should I come inside her?”
“Yes. I want her wet and juicy for me.”
Nissia whimpers at just my words. The king roars as he thrusts up into her once more, his whole body jerking as he fills her up. Then, I gently push her onto him, so his cock falls free and she leans back across his belly.
“Hold her, little king,” I instruct, and Vizarios does as he’s told, reaching down to pull her thighs apart.
“Papa!” Nissia writhes, her pussy dripping with every wanting pulse. “Please!”
Though she is eager, I sink into her slowly, savoring her, gulping up her moans and making sure she feels every last nub on my cock. When she cracks, she cries out my name, and I follow along with her into the darkness.
