CHAPTER TWO

DIMITRI
Another soul to burn. That’s why they are here, right? Humans are nasty creatures. Always betraying their trusted companions, hurting their loved ones. Why? Don’t they know that their existence in the afterlife is much easier when they don’t do dumb shit?
Like this fucker, for example, I am standing in front of this pathetic excuse of a man who thought touching little kids was okay. His cock is blazing for eternity, and he gets fucked in the ass by any demon who wants to remind him of the awful things he did to those kids.
When a soul reaches Hell, I get basic information: their name and their sins. I have been given many names over time. Some see me as the Devil. Some as a fallen angel. I see myself as Dimitri Draeger, the king of the damned.
I sit on a council with nine others, but I am the only one who handles the souls of the sinful. The sins that land you in my realm are those of a violent nature. For example, rape, murder, domestic violence, animal abuse, touching, or hurting children—They all burn for eternity.
I step out of my office, and Zaar, my servitor, looks over. “There you are,” Zarr says. “A soul just landed. We weren’t expecting this one.”
“Who are they?” I ask as Zarr walks with me. I got the notification for the soul and decided to greet them when I saw they woke alone. Zaar serves as an instinctively loyal companion. He will do anything I ask of him, but I mostly just enjoy his company.
“Her name is Piper. Her sin is unclear, as her death was violent. She woke a few moments ago, and when I sent a familiar from her life, she started screaming and curled up on the floor,” Zaar explains.
“Mhmm,” I say. “Well, let’s go meet her,” I say.
The thing about these souls is that I can do whatever I want to them.
Depending on their crime, I’ll play with some of them.
It all depends on what they did. Sometimes souls land here for lessons, not for punishment.
Those are held differently and treated far better.
I usually stick with those because I don’t always have to be so cruel.
As we step into the room, I see a short brunette with wide hips, thick thighs, and gorgeous breasts.
The souls arrive without clothing. Usually, they try to cover themselves, but she is protecting herself differently.
There is a shapeshifter in the form of her husband, and it has her in a panic. Interesting.
“Shift,” I command. Her eyes snap to mine, and the demon takes the shape of his true form before walking away. “Piper, yes?”
“Y-Yes, S-Sir,” she stammers, looking down at her feet.
I step closer and grab a fistful of the hair on the back of her head to force her head back to look up at me.
When she opens her eyes, something overwhelming sweeps over my senses.
Before I can react, I yank her closer to smash my lips against hers.
Fuck, she tastes like heaven, but she melts as though she belongs here. When I pull back, and her bright green eyes meet mine, I can feel the summon. The council wants me to join them, but I have different plans to attend to first.
“My sweet little sinner,” I rumble. “Welcome to hell.”
